Somehow, I am not seeing "Variable mapping" in Kafka Message Start Event Connector section instead "Output mapping". Did you rename in just three months?
Hi there - Thank you for your questions. We regularly update our software on an ongoing basis. For more information about our Kafka Connector, please see our Documentation: bit.ly/3WxNCuy.
Superb :)... So the throw event should be at the end of the journey and the receiver should be before that. Is it right assumption or both can be anywhere in the flow?
Hi there - Great question! More information about compensation events can be found here: bit.ly/4d4cgIK. Additional information about compensation handlers is available here: bit.ly/3LP5L13. Thanks for sharing the tips but I am struggling to pass dynamic payload to REST Connector. Not able to find anything in the documentation as well. All are related to Camunda7. Any help?
Hi there! It looks like you were able to find a solution to your question in our forum, which is the best place to connect with our engineers and community. Please let us know if you're in need of further assistance.
@@CamundaTeam Yeah, somehow I managed to solve it by reading some comments in the forum. But I really had to spend a lot of time doing all sorts of permutaion-combination to make it work before really trying a simple trick. Another thing, you need to work on your documentation. It looks like a summary and not really a very detailed one.

11:23 Let's hear it for the weirdly big amount of carrots!🥕
One can truly never have enough carrots! Unless you have a carrot allergy. In that case, it's best to have no carrots whatsoever.
Very informative, but in a scenario where a person turns into a zombie on its 5th day of quarantine shortly before being released, wouldnt the zombie just get a certificate?
Great question! We think this likely depends on whether the zombie remembers to check their email to claim their certificate within a certain time frame. If they don't, the certificate would be automatically returned to the Health Department.
How can i get this embedded testing module into my camunda 8 modeler is there any plugin or any other source to get it please reply
Hi there - More information about getting started with Play, our Zeebe-powered playground environment within Web Modeler, can be found here: bit.ly/3Lvxof3.
@@CamundaTeam Thanks for the reply got it fixed another doubt I have is how can I access process variables in Embedded forms in Camunda 8, I had done this in 7 using ${} symbols but in 8 I cant use these variables let us suppose for hide conditions in forms, This is the long doubt I have which is not being solved, Anyway thanks for the reply

One of the best BPMN descriptions I've seen so far
Thank you, @TomPawlakM!
Hello and thank you. I followed the tutorial and I am doing the same. My Camunda Process is simple. The 'Compensate Boundary Event' (the only one) is attached to a ServiceTask instead of a 'Slack Outbound Connection' It doesn't triggers when the 'Compensate Intermediate Throw Event' is started. Even with the Activity Reference. The business it is in Java, with JobWorkers. Any chance I can get your help? 🙂 UPDATE: oh wait, you provided wonderful links and the .bpmn too. Thank you very much sir. Unfortunately there is nothing different from mine. Must be some Java problem. SOLVED: go with camunda 8.5.0 container( i still had 8.4.0)

If you have several end events in the sub process, how does the calling process branch according to which end event was reached?
The called process will only end after there are no longer any active tokens running in the process, so it doesn't matter if they've reached an end event or been interrupted. Once there are no more - it returns to parent.
@@nialldeehan3564 sorry, my question may have been unclear: is it possible for the caller process to know what end the called process reached?
@@800pieds Best way to do that is to set a specific variable based on the end event and pass it back to the parent. You could also use the API to query the finished process but that might be more hassle.
Thanks
Camunda 8 does not support @Zeebe annotations as shown by you.
Hello - We have confirmed with our Zeebe team that, while the @EnableZeebeClient notation is no longer needed, Camunda 8 does still support Zeebe annotations. For more information on getting started with Zeebe APIs in your Spring Boot project, please check out the following documentation: bit.ly/4e5eEAb
I don't want to be too critical - but I see this everywhere with Camunda examples. The only reason I would use Camunda is to gain efficiencies for business activities through the use of a tool that can aid programmatically. The cue is in the B for BPMN - Business. Yet I see all the time, examples which are for silly scenarios that I would never program for - 'What activity am I going to do - camping, biking..' 'What drink will I have now - Beer, water..' 'What will I cook for dinner' 'How do I make a pizza'. I am at a loss to understand why Camunda can't use real examples for which the tool has been designed to solve?
Thank you for your feedback. We will share your comments with our team for future videos.
Very useful video
I am not happy with the solution of "waiting for the bill" at about 12:50. Because after "Go to counter and remind staff about bill" the process does not end, actually it continues with "waiting for bill". Probably that was not the issue that wanted to be pointed out. But I always like complete and best way correct examples otherwise it get's confusing because sovling one tiny issue in a whole picture might have an effect on other issues.
Thank you for sharing your feedback, @debastian. We will keep this in mind when creating future content. Thanks again!

Thank you for the presenation! I also wanted to test the newly added Zeebe rest endpoints but can't seem to authenticate. In SaaS Console there is no new scope option for the Zeebe rest api and my credentials (that are working for all the other api:s) do not provide me with a valid token? Also, there is no example for the SaaS base address so I am not sure I am using a correct url? Did you manage to figure this out? Cheers!
