  Coming from France, Italia, Portugal, Croatia...it's really hard to be amazed by Austria/Swiss/Bavaria...aside from the Alps, heritage is poor and boring, cities mildly beautiful.

  Oh yes Karls Kirche is a great place to start this wonderful summer walking tour. I can't get enough of this work of art masterpiece church. However it is a shame that the Austrian government charges people and tourists money to go inside now. I understand that money may be needed for upkeep and restoration. But they should keep these magical places free for all income levels to enjoy without restrictions. That's what makes and maintains Vienna as the world class city that it is ..............Oh well :o)

  The Karlskirche is not maintained by the church itself, but by an association. That is why there is an entrance fee so that the church can be kept in good condition.
