  How much noise do these elevators produce? Do you recommend sound insulation and soundbard or a shaft liner? None of the owners manuals or product planning guides specify how many decibels are produced when the elevator is in use.

  We are currently researching these. To accommodate a wheelchair you’d need the next size larger not the mini lift. We were quoted 150,000 from our architect for the octagonal vuelift three floors.

  Hi there, the Savaria V-1504 enclosure vertical platform lift is approved for up to 4 stops or 23 feet of travel depending on code (commercial use in the USA limited to 12' to 14' depending on the year of code enforced). It may be easier and more cost-effective to install than an accessibility elevator, especially in retrofit situations. For example, it requires a minimum pit depth of 3 inches, compared to 14 inches for a LU/LA elevator. It also does not require a shaftway to be constructed as the enclosure is built by the lift manufacturer. However, they cannot penetrate a floor since the enclosure isn’t fire rated.   For the past 2 1/2 years , I was lifting my wife out of wheel chair into car and then lifting wheelchair into trunk of car. I started to have knee and back problems. As I am 79 years old, I decided to purchase a van with rear wheelchair entry. Most used conversion van had high mileage and I didn’t want maintenance problems, so I found a used 2020 Toyota with 14k miles at cost of 38k. The conversion cost was 15k at TRIPLE S. MOBILITY which was located 11 miles from my home. The conversion took 2 1/2 weeks. I was totally satisfied, no more lifting to and from doctors office. Conversion cost can be as high as 22k, being that the van has to be sent out of city or state. By the way, REAR ENTRY is best option because you can park any where without being closed in.

  I took me a year to find decent not crazy expensive one. I used to lift my mom as well. It was not convenient for me or my mom. She almost gave up on going out again.
