  Thats a lot of 3000rpm must sound like a jet engine at full blast! I got some of these for my server - glad its no in my bedroom :)

  Sweet spot is 1600 RPM vs Artic p14 max [ my PSU sweet spot 700watts, from a FSP Hydro PTM PRO 1200W Platinum ] Noctua has more thrust and wide spread ,I use ASUS app , have 4 setting , silent ,standard ,turbo and full speed , for bench marks it is a jet engine , for gaming turbo is used for demanding games , at that point the 4090 fans are the loudest when bench testing , playing a game use DLSS or DLAA with FG , with 120 cap, at this point AC loudest thing in the room , 70F in room , Noctua does more with less RPM, than Artic p14 max , I use both , that's my experience's from testing.

  Hi! Why didn't you use your cablemod cable with the wireview? Was there any compatibility issues? I have a 4090 Amp Extreme Airo with a cablemod 12vhpwr cable and I'm looking into purchasing a wireview.

  Actually, I had rather frequent crashes until 4702. I updated a week ago, from the previous one (I updated as soon as a new BIOS came out) and hadn't had a crash or any other issues yet thus far. I'm on a Crosshair VIII Hero with 5950X, 64GB CORSAIR Dominator Platinum DDR4 3600MHz, SAMSUNG 980 PRO NVMe Gen 4 2TB, and ASUS TUF RTX 4090 running W11 Pro. Everything appears to be stable and reliable. Before, I don't think I ever had a BSOD, but I had sudden unrecoverable freezes, even while playing youtube videos, or unrecoverable sleeps. I may not ever update again after 4702!

  To go for stability is BenchMate , mainly Ram , if crashes , with BSOD or GSOD , go back to stock , or just won't complete the test, close but no Cigar , if any of this happens when stock , Major problem ! kzread.info/dash/bejne/naN-mNqHn9CtYbw.html

  I played it onJ anuary. Maxed 1440p 60 fps and it says 64 fps average with my ryzen 1700 and RX 6700XT. Graphics are amazing it looks like real.

  i played at releease date it was not as good as the previous two because it odnt have lot of action and most of the game you just walk and solving puzzles.

  i will get it in 3 days on steam chrisrtmas disouncts. But i also play all games at max settings 1440p 60 fps becausei have monster pc even games with bad optimizations like this. In games that have ray tracing i use FSR to run them with max graphics and max ray tracing while those who dont have ray tracing dont need FSRbecause they all still runs maxed 1440p 60 fps.   No issues at all , I always use default setting in BIOS , then at Desk top , run my benchmark suite , then back in BIOS ,load my profile , then run all all benchmarks , Benchmate Y- cruncher will show anything wrong ,not trying to be the best , stability and everyday use is what I want.

  Replace BIOS battery , if buying used MB ,plus start with a reinstalled windows , or Window update , repair Window installed , also 4 sticks of RAM can cause issues , I have Samsung B-Die 7.8 ms want below 8ms , but use 3600cl14 speed from BIOS , have a choice of either 4000cl16 x4 -8GB or 3600cl14 x4- 8GB or 2666 default . Use Benchmate / Y- cruncher , will tell if your system is fine or not .

  I've had issues. 5950x and 128G of RAM 4x32, 4090. Been getting Black Screens of Death but it was after using for any amount of time, even gaming but only after I left the PC then within minutes or when it would put my monitor to sleep I'd come back next day or hours later to Black Screen but had to reset was only way around it.. Then when checking Event Viewer I'd see it crashed always once the monitor would sleep or minutes after I'd leave it. It did actually crash twice while I was using it. Also seeing the WHEA errors in Event Viewer. Then I started getting DPC Watchdog errors and actual Green Screens of Death non-stop and was probably due to all the crashes and resets. I removed my Samsung 980 Pro because it just continually crashed so I thought it was it failing because of the DPC errors. I even tried doing a chkdsk on it and it got same green crash for the DPC Watchdog. I put in a regular SSD and NO NVMe now. It still crashed even with a fresh install of Windows on the new SSD. My RAM is 4x32 it was set to 3600 via D.O.C.P. It's been set that way since the board was released. I then took the BIOS back to "Optimized Defaults" so far so good, but memory is now running at default 2400. I can only assume something's up with the 4702 BIOS. Currently running Memory Diagnostics on it, first pass was success, now on second pass. I can only think that there's something changed or hosed in the 4702 BIOS. ☹

  I'd completely stay away from this BIOS. I've now since done a Flashback to 4602 and all black screens, crashes, etc. have ceased and system is stable again and back to D.O.C.P and RAM maxed at 3600 again.

  Well even the flashback failed. Still crashing. It just took longer but it's still sometimes minutes, hours. Just never know when it's going to crash. It's sudden and at any time. I'm running out of things here. I'm thinking it's something with Windows 11 23H2? This is the only thing that changed other than the upgrade of the BIOS.

  @@7-clown-737 if you doing a fresh install, try this order. 1. Windows, but don’t do any updates past the install yet. 2. Chipset drivers from amd. 3. Other drivers like gpu and whatever armory create has for you like lan and audio. 4. Do the windows service pack updates. A tip to help identify your c drive is just rename it “deleteme”. Then when windows ask to select your boot drive you can see it and delete all partitions off to get to the whole drive.

  Hello! I have the same motherboard as you. I updated the BIOS to 4702. Please record a short video when the motherboard starts up and the ASUS Republic of Gamers logo is visible. As I understand it, they completely redrawn it in red, before the icon was not completely red and the inscription at the bottom was white. Please see how it is for you. Thank you! I'm sorry, you have a video of this moment, but it's illegible. Is your logo completely red and the inscription under it also red?

  My Dark Hero after using 4402 often when I restart (Windows restart, start -> restart), went shutdown instead. I need to turn off-turn on PSU power button and power on again. Any chance you know why this happen? All BIOS settings are default. Previous BIOS 4304 didn't have this issue at all. Fresh install also have this issue. Disabled fast startup from Windows and Fast Boot from BIOS issue still happen. No issue with my SSD (Firecuda 530), RAM or other peripherals. Weird.

  I have a Dark Hero VIII motherboard with the same BIOS 4402 and I do not have those settings.. Trying to use it for the 5800x3d ?? Am I missing something ?

  Perhaps EZ-mode bios? You need to be in advanced mode.

  Yea, For 4k resolution. 4090, For 1440p the 4070 Ti would be the card imo so you made the right choice. 4080 would almost feel like a GTX 1080p at 1440p like the 1080 can get you there but not the way you want it it will almost have you feel like you missing something

  @@lerner6666 The vid is 4.02 , before 4.02 I had a 4080 plus a 4070Ti , neither one was smooth RAW , or with DLSS 3.1 and DLSS 3 Frame Generation DLL .

  User settings get completely wiped on update. I'd know, because I used them to restore profiles in the earlier BIOS revisions. Now, every single update, those are completely wiped too. It's a gigantic PITA to have to reference screenshots to restore the 50 something settings I've changed that start disappearing from memory between BIOS releases. Why they started wiping profiles is beyond me. Just typical ASUS things. Sure love forgetting to disable Armoury Crate too and it breaking something in my OS permanently despite using their removal tool and manually hunting for any ASUS crap still left.

  Yup , with DLSS , I use Afterburner , set power limits to 75 ,fans RPM is 1008 is default, which is perfect , other than Hitman3 and Cyberpunk 2077 Max Rt 4K , I play on a TCL 646 55inch .
