I saw them on July 16th, 1979 (exactly 45 years to the day, as I post this) - Lexington, KY. My very first concert. I was only eight years old. I cannot believe life moved that fast. Oddly enough, what I remember most about that night was seeing a homeless man asleep on a bench outside Rupp Arena as we were walking to the car.

This was the beginning of the end of the heyday of the original lineup. The concert music quality is really terrible, over the top cheesy costumes and a lame stage set.

God of Thunder is most certainly not a sissy prissy song. Some of Paul Stanley 's songs that does the lead singing on could be sissy prissy songs. All of them together does make a rock and roll variety show that is hard to excel.

Even back then, Gene was fucking up the lyrics to God of Thunder, and he has the nerve to talk shit about Ace's playing. Ace sounds great. Gene is a total narcissist.

You can hear when Pauls vocal chords are ready to be re-froozen. Love gun should have started after the next freeze, but gave us an opportunity to hear just how hard and for how long Paul's voice has been giving him trouble. Too bad he talked so much crap about the others losing their abilities. The voice doesn't just require more practice, it's a different kind of instrument. Some grace and humble dignity and the fans don't roast him so badly, he clearly tried hard. His limits seem to be the only real decline of Kiss over all ideations.
