    ICU pronounced my old man Brain dead 4 years ago claimed his Brainstem had died meaning without a Ventilator he would only live for a few minutes, After disconnecting him for life support we watched my dad die in a room for 4 days.. 4 days my dad survived off life support a brain dead person would die within seconds, Yes there is such a thing as Brain death, Even the highest grade A.I or Neurologist doesn’t know everything about the brain, and its ability to repair itself, A lot of the times in E.D or ICU you will be faced with answers like ‘I don’t know’ or lm not sure, because they base their findings on studies that we’re done 60 years ago, If you do have a loved one in critical care be their armour and their Voice when they can’t speak for themselves

    The problem here is kinda with the defintion of brain death itself. Because there are people who have recovered from zero brain activity, but the defintion of "brain death" itself has finality baked into it. Im paraphrasing but its pretty much defined as an irreversable cessation of all brain, and brain stem functions. So when someone has zero brain activity identicle to a state of brain death, but recovers to a a state of some brain activity, they dont define that as "brain death" because it didnt ultimatly stay at a completly ceased state. But its kinda obvious that is a one sided way to define brain death, because it doesnt matter how much the condition that is recovered from is identicle to what we would define as brain death, the mere fact that they make aby recivery removes it from the catagory of "brain death"

    It is unfortunate that you call the medical professionals vultures when all they want to do is save lives. When someone is brain dead with a beating heart he or she can save 8 lives by donating organs. Time is of the essence because the heart can stop beating within hours so the transplant people need to quickly ask the family if they want to save lives through the death of their loved ones. Try to be a little more sensitive to all parties.

    In 2008, I was in a car accident. My damage brain was in a catastrophic massive stroke. Even, after "waking-up" being in a coma for 6 days, I couldn't talk, couldn't walk, my right arm was forgotten me and wouldn't use my conscious (I was in a memory lapse).

    you cant say no one has ever woken up from a brain death.. because they dont give them the chance.. whats the longest someone has been on the ventilator that was declared brain dead? 🤣 so technically we dont know.

  • @robbyberman
    @robbybermanАй бұрын

    That is a good point. However, not every family agrees to donate organs and they don't agree to turn off the ventilator so if you are correct then at least one of those people should have come back from it but they haven't it. But I appreciate your point.

    Is it not the organs of body respond only with their connection with brain? If brain is dead then how heart can survive beating a single minute like there are no neurons working inside, and the brain part that controls heart is dead Is it something science needs to check more on it that how even after a brain is dead the heart manages to beat and circulate the blood throughout the body without a neural connectivity with brain??

    And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Hebrews 9:27) And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: (Acts 17:30) For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. (2 Corinthians 7:10) I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. (Luke 13:5) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
