I planned to, but I'm not willing to spend 100$ for a brand new PSU. Make sure that it's not longer than 150mm. The most adequate that I found was the Corsair CX650F, a Seasonic 750W or some SFX variants of PSUs from bequiet!.

As a backup computer, sure, it handles basic tasks very well. I used a cream with Aloe Vera I had lying around (Nivea cream works well too) for the final coat. The YT channel PanoramaCircle has a few in-depth videos regarding cleaning ThinkPads.

Hallo, i have the same settings with W7 , T61p and it works fine ( installed a Nvidia Quadro T400 which is great and is less than 35 max watt absorption) , i am also up to install a fan speed regulator chip ( from ali express) for both the noisy power fan and the eGPU noisy fan in the advanced dock,by soldering the wires of the existing fans to the chip (eventually i'll try to install it inside the advanced dock where there is room enough) because as you said they are noisy. ; can i ask you if you ever tried if advanced dock gets recognized also under W10 with your W500? because i tried with a thinkpad T400 ( intel graphics) with W10, but i could not manage to get the eGpu recognized ... and was wondering if W10 could be the problem , any advice?

From what I knew back then, only T4-500 and W series with dedicated graphics can use the Advanced Dock with a GPU attached without having the problem with TOLUD. With Intel graphics you can only have 2GB of RAM installed and use the dGPU, but it's unusable with such a low amount. Edit: The latest Windows I tried was 8.1 and it was flawless. Windows 10 seriously degrades performance of these Core 2 Duo chips and I wouldn't run it unless needed to. I have a R400 now with multibooted Windows 7-8.1-11 (shocking I know) and 11 runs like garbage compared to the other dated OS'es. Regarding the GPU issue, most likely it's not caused by the operating systems, most likely it is BIOS/ TOLUD related.

If you connect your modded Xbox to Live, you'll ban your console instantly. Not sure about the account though.

You can play online easily with a free stealth server like proto or you can get a lifetime pass with tethered for around 40 bucks or teapot for 32ish and they spoof gold and have no KV mode which means you should never get your console banned. If you ever do get banned on one like proto you buy a new KV for 3 to 5 bucks and place it on the root of your hdd and you are good to go again.
