When you give up cocaine and hookers then you can afford to do thi//// F☆CK that...
That’s movin!!!
Yes, it sure was!
Ha... that's true.....and not just for Harley's. My 465 will most likely never be done😅
Oh it never ends! Every project I take on I think “oh, I can afford this…” always snowballs into more 🤣
Sounds good, is purple and has a vinyl top….Im in love man!!!!
Haha, got that Chevy love. It’s far from a show car, but looks good from a few feet back, and sounds even better.
sweet! what is the name of exhaust?
Thanks! This was the Vance and Hines 2-into-2. I have since replaced that for a Bassani Road Rage 3 2-into-1… check out my more recent videos for some clips of that.
God she sounds good brotha. Is this 88 stock?
Thank you very much! Yes, stock 88 with the Vance and Hines exhaust and larger air filter. Check out my latest video(s) as I changed out the exhaust for a Bassani Road Rage 3 2-into-1, which I like much better.
@@JMKGarage yessir already watched them. Keep that motor stock! Dont do any upgrades. I’d kill for my bike to be a stock 88, but unfortunately previous owner put a 95 kit on it, didn’t tune it correctly, and ran it so badly that it had a bent crankshaft of 45 thousandths runout. Making me have to spend 8k in the motor, which I’ve already bulletproofed it, (now a 100ci) but man I wish it was just an ol’ stock twin cam. Whatever. What year is yours? Good for you for revving the motor. Harley’s HATE to be lugged around. They like to be revved, that goes for any motor.
@@Anonymouso283 thanks man, hearing stuck like this makes me want to just keep it as-is rather than going to the 95 and adding in cams. Mine is a 2004… bought with 15,000 original kilometers (now at 17,000).
Thanks for sharing the awesome video ! Can I get the link to the that jack that you used ?
Hey, thanks for watching! Here is a link to the bike jack that I use: www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/motomaster-complete-lift-motorcycle-atv-jack-w-removable-handle-1500-lb-0091015p.html?gbraid=0AAAAADojZpjX4LlZEiB0wBg1bL0vmPSRc&gclid=CjwKCAjwhvi0BhA4EiwAX25uj8v0HjScNY9SLznyaUu0QyJTB_KraXoIeuIvBGBYUx0IoSHABBPSmhoCP2kQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds#store=130
Does that exhaust get in the way of the oil dipstick?
Nope! I wouldn’t check it with the exhaust still hot as your hand it quite close… not as open as before, just still easily accessible.
Nice just ordered mine i found one that connects the 2 pipes out front before it curves back. Most the others ive seen all connect around the same spot
Which exhaust did you go with?
Its one of the bassani road rage.. ill get u a link. Its the only one ive seen like it
awesome job
Thank you very much! Certainly a lot of time and effort into this one.
What exhaust is thar?
Stock header with a custom bent 2.5” pipe into a shortened Yoshimura muffler.
Did this guy give her any instructions? Doesnt care too much for his wife letting her ride without any instruction
Yes, I certainly gave her the run down. She can easily ride my Husqvarna TE150, and the kids bikes, and has rode several bikes and quads over our 16 years together, however this CR80 is very finicky… even for both me and my father-in-law… not easy to ride, but it la certainly a rocket when you get it just right.
Do you have the plans? Great build!
Thanks, I think my dad did awesome on this. Unfortunately I don’t have any of the plans.
Bassani IMHO make some of the best sounding pipes for V twins, i had both Bassani slip ons and then the road rage 2-1 on the victory and nothing sounded like it!
Thanks Nick! I’m certainly very happy with it. Looks and sounds great, and very nice quality.
Yeah… love the look and sound! Great price (can’t believe I have to say that at $1400). 😂
Thanks man! And to clarify (not sure where you are), this is CAD, so about $1,000USD. Still a lot of money for exhaust, considering I’ve bought a lot of complete bikes (and cars) for less than that.
Looking good and love the sound 💯🤘
Thanks Mike! Remaining parts for the front wheels should be here Monday
So, you have a walking trail/woods area in your neighborhood where you can ride your bike? What an awesome perk. Great bike. The Husky decals are great. Very sorry to hear about your pup.
Well, we did…. A large portion of the neighborhood rides bikes and have ride there for years. Cops haven’t had an issue with it at all until just recently when someone made a complaint, probably from the new subdivision across the field, so unfortunately no more riding right here. Still a few awesome tracks and trails close by though. I’ve ended up replacing these plastics for yellow ones with full custom graphics. Thanks, still miss our dog (lost both them in 2023… both at 12 years old).
@@JMKGarage My first thought when I saw you riding there was about complaints. Too bad, although those 2-strokes can get loud. Go get yourself a rescue pup if you haven't already gotten a new animal. I generally wait a bit to grieve. Have a great weekend!
I liked the graphics this year. Awesome build!
Thank you very much! I didn’t go overkill on this one, just a good freshen up to look good enough to show off then let me wife try riding on (and wipe out 🤣)
@@JMKGarage She hasn't quite mastered the clutch, lol.
@@angrytater2456 haha, not on this one. Even finicky for me to ride this bike as you have to be on the pipe to take off… no bottom end or power valve, so it’s 100% or nothing. I was impressed to see her jump on my Husky 150 after this and start hitting the jumps right away… lesson learned, a cr80 is not for beginners 🤣
@@JMKGarage I was going to say the CR80 from that era is a bike that pros love, but maybe for the casual rider a more mellow bike with decent low/mid-range punch would be better. It's a nice challenge to ride that thing WOT, which is fun in its own right!
@@angrytater2456 oh yeah, this little bike is an absolute blast… I can actually get around the track just as quick with this as on my 150 (also 2 stroke)… little sketchy at times as it pulls the front wheel straight up all the time.
Looks good man a time piece
Way better than I could ever do at…uh…middle aged🤣
Hahaha. I can’t say that I’m much better than him either 🤣
I have a 2014 Street Triple R and I have a Hindle exhaust on the way. I already have Tune ECU on my Android tablet and a cable from Lonelec. I was wondering what exactly you had to do on your tune to clear the engine light? Did you go with the Arrow tune after installing the exhaust? By the way it sounds so good!!! Can't wait to get mine installed!
Hey, that is essentially the same bike as mine, but without the fairings. It’s been a while since I did this, but I believe that flashing it with the tune (for the arrow slip-on… not the one for the full exhaust) and selecting somewhere that the exhaust valve/servo motor was removed allowed it to run without triggering the check engine light. Be sure to select the correct tune though for with/without ABS… I mistakenly flashed him for the tune “without ABS” and thought that I ruined the bike as the speedo wouldn’t work afterwards… turns out I selected the wrong tune. Enjoy!
@@JMKGarage, thanks for getting back with me. Hopefully you're still riding that Daytona.
@@kelseyashcraft2288 no problem! It’s been parked since April when I bought my Harley, but I will certainly have it back out soon. I absolutely love the Daytona!
Throttle linkages don't need to be equal length. Getting the angles the same is helpful, but the length doesn't matter as long as the apply equally to the carburetor throttle blades. Also, a tach would be very useful on your setup. A synchronizer can verify your airflow as well.
Some very nice cars there, and some sweet dubs!
Yes, I was very surprised with the turnout. There’s only a couple thousand people at most here in our town, and usually there’s not much more than 20 vehicles or so that show up. I was impressed by o see this turnout.
That sounds great! Where did you buy it from?
Thank you! It’s from Cip1… www.cip1.ca/acc-35067/
I’ll upload an edited video later as I missed going live while this field was full of cars.
Howdy! I'm a new rider and I'm trying to get more comfortable on jumps. Ive found Gopher's sandy main track to be hard to get through, and Ive been considering trying Gore Mx as its so much closer anyway. Do you find it to be more beginner friendly. I live in London and don't have any riding buddies to learn from. How did you get comfortable jumping? Thanks!
Hey Tyler, I’ve been riding on and off since I was 8, so nearly 30 years, but only started doing jumps 2 years ago right before buying this bike. Gopher’s sand track is extremely challenging, and I can hardly make it around the track myself. Gore is 5 minutes from my house, so very convenient. Good price too ($20). You can easily ride this track regardless of riding level. If you have Instagram, feel free to message me (@jmk_garage) if you ever decide to try is out. I try to make it out one or twice a month. What are you riding for a bike?
@@JMKGarage 2002 RM125. Id love to learn more and go for a ride, ill add you here in a minute.
@@tylerwilson4450 look forward to seeing you out there sometime. I see they were closed this weekend for some track improvements.
👍
Awesome job
Is that a pw50?
Yes it is!
Dress for the slide, not the ride.
Yes, I know… very hard to do when this warm though. Really boggles my mind though when you go do some countries where people are riding with multiple passengers, sandals on their feet, no helmets, and flying through traffic.
That’s awesome!!
Thanks! Cool story on this one… my dad’s school bus driver (Olaf) from as a kid bought this new and my dad always told him that he wanted that van… probably why he ended up custom ordering a new Chevy Vandura in ‘78 himself… many years later, shortly after Olaf died, his wife called up my dad and offered to sell it to him as she knew he always wanted it. My dad has had it for probably 10 years now, or more, and drives it most summers…. His ‘78 however has been parked in storage since I was pretty young, so probably about 30 years.
@@JMKGarage that’s an awesome story!!!
@@JMKGarage I love hearing stories like this!! Cars that were passed down from family members or ones that have special meaning. It just makes them that much more interesting!
That’s awesome!!!
Thank! Proud dad right here.
Soon time to buy a farm ?
I think so… but then it would quickly change from a farm into a scrap yard like yours 🤣
What a collection!!! Color me jealous!!
Hahaha, thanks man, but nothing like that Suburban of yours! I need to get an old classic off my dad to have something that special, but obviously need more room for that.
Good job 👍
Love the head snap on little kids with helmets😂
Hahahaha… even funnier with him cruising around with no shirt 🤣
Looks like a sleazy old man’s van used for snatching children off the streets
Nice job, shitty music
First off, THAT CYCLE!!! 😍🥰. im 5'1", so im stuck with the kawasaki zx4rr😂........badass trailer, but too much work just to get it off. a simple pull-"Ouut" (you midwestern people)😉 ramp, hidden underneath would do too. for 1 cycle, this is overkill, and with no side rails.....eeek. but i do like the idea. 😊
Sounds like you have a nice bike as well. I would totally love to have the zx4rr as an extra bike for track days on a small track.
If you’re gonna do a video on the sound the motorcycle, why do you have the music playing in the background it kind of ruins it
You have a very valid point… not sure what I was thinking… it should have only been there for the few seconds that the bike was turned off.
Bro that spark plug is done for sure💀
For powder coating near you look at Crashburn Cycles in london he did my forward controls or JP powder coating in kitchener does amazing work
Здравствуйте, извините что пешу, какое масло заливаеться в ямаху пв 50? В сам двигатель.
Hey, thanks for watching. It is a 2-stroke engine, so the oil is mixed in with the gasoline and burned off… nothing actually goes into the engine. The gear box however uses Yamalube (Yamaha brand) 10W-40 motor oil. Hope this helps!
@@JMKGarage Yamalube FC-W10W-40 это же масло Верно? Заранее спасибо большое вы очень хороший человек 😝
Yes, you got it! That is the correct oil. 🙏
Neat looking video
Thanks… one of the many cool feature of the @insta360 camera
Looks like a good day to be at the track
Sure was!
Pretty cool to get that opportunity to test them all out like that!
Indeed it was! So cool to get the invite and have the opportunity to test these bikes out like this without having to spend the money to rent them.
I would say at least you only have to buy 2 instead of 4 but I don’t know how expensive motorcycle tires are😅
They’re somewhat comparable to car tires… any piece of rubber is expensive nowadays.
Yeah....I wanna go ride there!!!!
Haha, wouldn’t that be cool!
Put the Street glide in Sport mode for a much better response. Road mode better for cruising on highway
Not sure if you caught that part of the video, but we ended up doing that and was blown away at how much better it made the bike feel. Starting off in rain (?) mode was a real disappointment.
@@JMKGarage Yes, heard you talk about that after I wrote my comment, lol. Glad you mentioned the sport mode for everyone. One thing I’m really disappointed with on the 24 SG are the front and rear fenders. The front fender is so small that after driving half an hour just on wet roads had a boot full of water and the bike was a literal sloppy mess. Never in decades of riding, had that happen. Concerned about fenders on a long touring trip. Also, trying to find a comfortable seat to go across country since they didn’t upgrade the hammock seat for the 24. Very disappointing in that.
That’s interesting about the fenders. Fortunately it wasn’t raining on my ride. I did notice though that there was dirt water and mud spots on the bike everywhere, almost like someone had taken the bikes off-roading… I guess the smaller fenders explains why they were so dirty. Hope you manage to find a comfortable seat.
What Caind of pipe did u use ?
I couldn’t tell you the specs… it’s my buddy’s bike and he bought the material… I just did the fab work. It was all stainless steel, likely 304.
