I have been going deeper into electronics and building my own circuits from schematics found online. At the moment I'm working on redesigning the common solar garden light to work on supercapacitors, not batteries. Soon I will be revisiting the desulfator and making a production circuit board for the many people who have asked to purchase one.

my board temp runs stable at up to 95c out ? i know thats hot, I upgraded fans to drop it to 82 I'm not having issues? im not sure if those temps are the cause.
I thing battery blanket would help to make battery work in extreme cold

I’m sure it works well but that price is insane. I made my own for next to nothing with cardboard and duct tape. It’s worked perfectly for months and months.
Yeah fruition is expensive. I bought mine on ebay for my iceriver ks5l ($50).

yes it does, they're not really needed since you're forcing air right through the inside and outside of the unit. Keep the internal fans plugged in though as I've heard rumors that the miner will not start hashing without detecting the fans plugged in.

I just got my first debit card from my bank with an RFID chip mid-first bank I'm going to hole punch this i do not want a RFID chip in my debit card I see teenagers at fast food restaurants doing some weird stuff swiping somewhere that's not even near the checkout register.. can you provide a link for the heatsinks you used on the bottom of the mosfets. i only did the tops of mine and id like to do the bottom since im still running 76c on 700gh
on second thought it seems they may be touching the resistors and other components. very risky. may short out

Nope. Because usable range of lead-acid batteries is about 12v-13.8v, older UPS will shut down when the batteries drain to 12v or slightly under. S4 LiFeP04 usable range is about 11.0-12.8v, so your UPS will shut down before half the LiFeP04 capacity is used. Charging current is also a little high. They should charge from about 13-13.5v, but your UPS charges them at 14.4v, which will shorten the life. They could even stay charging continuously!
@alteredComponent how did you go back to stock firmware after flashing it to twsift?
Could someone back up the KS0 ULTRA's eeprom and make this available? That would solve the problem because we could all restore the eeprom and remove the machine from the bricked state. I'm also in the same way, if I had two machines I would be able to backup the eeprom and make it available, but I only have one and it's bricked. After the first version of the Tswift DF1 OC my machine remained in this state, as the revert file was only 3k and the current versions have more than 15 megs so it did not cause the bricking problem.
Your method is very good. The only point I would have changed is freeze your bag of ice in your home freezer before adding it to your cooler. That ice was already melting a little bit.

Hey buddy, just found my brand new MNTD Black spot that i bought on launch, put on a shelf, and never opened. What do you think i should do with it now? With Pi5 out and rapidly available, looks like pi4 4gb only worth like 60 bucks on ebay. Black spot itself looks like it is worth around 115 on ebay. Think i should Sell it as is? Or something fun else to do with it?

Hello, I love your channel, you make great videos but I have a problem and am looking for advice. I have my KS0 ultra OC with your software according to the instructions and everything worked great but now my son accidentally pressed the factory reset button and it has been working ever since Ks0 ultra, your green/red lights no longer light up permanently, the web interface can no longer be reached but I can ping it via cmd. Do you perhaps have a tip or idea
ill shoot you the data on the stock, 505, 562 files on a stock ks0 ultra.
i spent many hours messing with oc testing on the ultra....have to say, the bad efficiency makes it not worth it imo. about to listen to your review and see what you come up with.
I keep mine @81C, and max 65C for chips. Hashrate ok on my side, always lower on the poolside. Probably they need to adjust the diff for these OCs. I stopped at 618L 😐
Do you think a Be Quiet Silent Wings Pro 4 in 120 or 140mm (I have an adapter) would cut it for the OC?
Most likely not, you need high flow server fan to properly cool the asic.
@@madelectronengineering Do you think the ks0 being in a fully enclosed fruition design shroud would help, I'm trying to get away with overclocks while being as quiet as possible as I sleep in the same room :) Also, do you think the veteran miner cables will survive the 500gh OC with the shroud on? Iceriver has a new Firmware for the Ultra would you happen to know what it fixes? I don't know if I should install it.
No clue what the new firmware fixes, sorry.
@@madelectronengineering It fixes the Miner offline issue for the early batch. On 2 ultras, they both fired right up for me, after logging into them, they would say the device offline. But after installing the 7/6 firmware, both would show fine.
