Southern Reels Fishing

Southern Reels Fishing

This channel is all about anything to do with fishing. I love all types of fishing and plan to bring you videos about all my experiences as I learn all I can about it. I live close to the coast so I do both fresh and salt water fishing. I have great love for both of them! Please take time to watch and hopefully we can learn something together!

I just did this on my 2012 Suzuki 115. New Amazon motor o ring seemed flimsy and sure enough a small amount was leaking where motor bolts on to pump. Pulled it off and used old o ring and it seems to be a little better, but still see a little wetness at the crack. I am going to take it off again and dry the pump top like you did and maybe it'll help seal it. Any suggestions my friend? O ring seemed not to be binded in any way. Could it be residual fluid making its way out? The old o ring seemed to make it a little better, but isn't bone dry at the seam.

I grew up using trolling motors on fresh water 20+ years ago and thought maybe they might be good enough for saltwater by now but I think I'll pass. Too much shit going on lol

Had to do this on our 1989 Mercury 90. Our motor was so corroded, we just decided to get a whole new trim/tilt assembly. Had to remove one side of the transom mount to get it out. Real pain in the butt. Good to see they are making them easier and more serviceable these days.

I like swing jigs a little more than the bottomsweeper / nc/ boxer head style jigs. They're more versatile. I can put any hook i want on them. I haven't noticed much of a difference in bite detection with the swing jigs vs the other styles.

Jealous! My son and I were out at the bridge about 3 weeks ago. Got too dicey with my 16ft bowrider. Combo or the wind and the waves made it sketchy. Had to head back to the narrows empty handed.

This is phenomenal stuff my man. I really cannot thank you enough for taking your time to put this out. I love it. By the way, what is the actual swivel mount you use that allows to to maneuver the pole in and out of the water? Thanks man, truly great stuff!
