Great video.
Thanks for watching! I’m headed back there soon.
thank !
How long did it took?
We were in the rain and travelling slow and did it in three hours
@@PapaSteveOnTheMove thanks!! I'm doing it on September and will have to hike the 11 kms from the parking lit, so this is very helpful
Thank you for the video! Very informative. Is the bowling, arcade etc an extra charge to enjoy? Or is it included in the price?
Great question! I didn’t do either personally so best to verify with the resort. I’m pretty sure the bowling was included, not sure about the arcade.
So true. May you find many rainbows
I beg to disagree. Worst food. Same food over and over. Rooms ok. not too great.
Sorry to hear about your experience. The Prestige area I stayed in was very nice.
Would you recommend a swim up pool room and is the all inclusive 24 hours and does it included access to all areas or is there any additional costs
@yvonneburns3855 if you like to go directly into the pool from your suite, consider the swim up suite. It could also be useful if you prefer to sleep in. The all-inclusive nature of the resort allows access to the restaurants and bars during open hours only. Each restaurant and bar keeps its own hours. There are still some Privilege areas that require additional costs up front and allow further access to some restaurants, bars and premium drinks.
@@PapaSteveOnTheMove Thank you, I've booked a swim up room for August
@yvonneburns3855 you’re going to love it
Thank you so much! Now when you buy the bus pass online you still have to pick up a voucher somehwere is that correct? Also can you board any the bus at any time slot once youre ready for the next lake?
@J19901 you are correct that despite buying the pass online, you will still have to pick up the voucher before boarding. Once you have a voucher, it is good to hop on and off through the day.
Beautiful
Thank you!
Hi there Steve, thanks for the video. I'm looking for some advice. I will be staying at Ocean Riviera Paradise with my wife next month. Booked an Eden suite without realizing El Beso existed. Is there any benefit with either section of the resort aside from their relative locations? Such as if I stay with the Eden, will I not be able to access El Beso amenities? And for reference, El Beso is a bit cheaper.
Hi @amlegrice the biggest difference is El Beso is adults only. There is a restaurant and a pool reserved with no children. The Eden has a much nicer location very close to the ocean. It depends if you prefer the adults only or the beach. In my opinion, the beach is full of seaweed and a bit windy so I would select the El Beso. Either way, you will have an excellent vacation. Enjoy!
I usually use my puffer jacket, or stuff clothes in a bag as my pillow.
@markschrimpf7575 last few times out I have been using that lined stuff sack with clothes. Sometimes I wear my puffer to sleep if it’s very cold.
It’s specially great after a long hike… you will not have any painful muscles , a good dunk in the lake does a body good, I know that’s what we do.
Oh come in get in…… 😊
Great short my friend
Thanks for watching!
Love it
what a hero! so, basically, you can visit both lakes with just Moraine Lake ticket? thanks for the tips!
Yes indeed! One ticket for both lakes! Thanks for watching.
Lovely work my friend 👏👏
Yea
Great video! We are planning a day trip to Moraine lake from Calgary but all the time slots for shuttle to Moraine lake are fully booked so we are thinking booking the Lake Louise shuttle first and then take the Interlake shuttle from Lake Louise to Moraine Lake as that's included in the ticket. Will there be a lot of people lining up for the connecter shuttle from Lake Louise to Moraine Lake? How much buffer time should we allow us for waiting in line? Thank you!
@jizhaoli2282 it could depend on the weather and possibly the date (busier on weekends and holidays) how long the lineup for the inter lake bus will be. It’s a great idea. I’m thinking arrive 15 minutes early and check the line. Then you have the option to join or to spend a few minutes doing something else.
Thanks for the memories of Little Yoho. As a teenager I went there. My last name is Yoho. When I found the park on a map I had to see what was up. As a city boy from Ohio I was out of my element. The vastness of the forest between the massive mountains gave me my first clue of how small I really am. More, the bear prints in the ground gave me a sense of true terror. In all it was like being brought to life, awake in a new way. That was 47 years ago. Thanks, Art Yoho, from Columbus.
Hi @artyoho thanks for watching. It’s a special place for sure. I really appreciate your comments. You could see more of the area by checking the Yoho National Park playlist on the channel.
The Best! Great help!
Happy to help. It’s a special place, so busy, nobody needs the extra headache to figure out how to get there! Thanks for watching.
Perfect video mate. We'll be there soon and it has helped heaps.
Thanks for watching!
Nice video!. Even tho it says all exclusive, does this include the book in restaurants and bars at the beach? Thank you 😇
Hi, the resort is all-inclusive, meaning that drinks and food are included. There are still some restaurants, bars and pools that are not included. They can be added for an extra cost (Prestige or Platinum rooms).
@@PapaSteveOnTheMove thank you so much! How about booking experience, the travel agency I’m with to pre book elsewhere is so expensive. Do they provide that there? I so want to see the Chichen Itzá. Thank you I’m a new follower! 💃🏼
@natachalada welcome to the channel! I usually book through an agent like Booking.com. I don’t trust airline/resort packages. If the savings are too good to pass up, go ahead and book but ask for an upgrade when you show up. Sometimes a good “tip” to the front desk can get you a better room. It’s a big resort and they want your money. Chichen Itza is well worth the day trip, however it is a long drive or bus ride.
Hi, does the Hotel have a bus shuttle service to Banff town?
Hi, the hotel does not have a shuttle, but there is a Roam transit stop close by, for an extra cost, otherwise it’s about a 20 minute walk to Banff Ave.
@@PapaSteveOnTheMove What is Roam?
@grahamjones7070 maybe some future content? Roam Transit is the “local” town bus system. It takes you around Banff town and into Canmore and Lake Louise. Many hotels include passes. Best to inquire directly with the hotel or Google Roam Transit Banff for more information.
@@PapaSteveOnTheMove Ok thanks for helping 👍
Our plan is to take the bus Roam from Canmore early in the morning, so once in Banff which bus do I need to take to go at Moraine lake.and Lake Louise?? Thank you
From Banff, you can take Roam transit. No need for the Parks Canada shuttle.
@@PapaSteveOnTheMove : Do you mean that Roam transit can enter Lake Moraine as well? Thanks!
@jplin3933 YES! From Banff to Moraine Lake daily. Visit Roam Transport for details
Hi Papa Steve did you take the one hour cruise or the 1.5 hour premium cruise? Which would you recommend ?
If the weather is nice, take the longer trip deeper into the lake. If it’s windy or raining, take the shorter trip or wait.
Thanks mate
Happy to help
Amazing place!😍 Thanks for the info!♥️
Thanks for watching!
As I have never been to this area, so I have no idea where I can get on the shuttle bus to Moraine Lake and Lake Louise on the same day. Could you please advise me where is the shuttle bus stop I can start ? I might stay in Downtown Banff. Thanks!
Hi @shailee187 the bus stop to get on the bus is at the park and ride at the Lake Louise ski area. There is more information in the video.
Thank you for this, I have booked two afternoon bus trips to lake moraine. I have a question, I understand you can stay pretty much as long as you like but what if I decide to get the last bus back and everyone else has the same idea and there's no room?
Each bus has a queue to get on. As long as you don’t wait to the last minute, you should be safe.
$$$ to stay here
Prices can vary a lot based on type of room, time of year and the availability. It’s best to check with a booking site or the hotel directly.
Went there in 2014 2015 2016 and now next week 2024..other years went to Jamaica Cayman islands Italy croatia greece but always the best time was at the princess sunset riviera maya Mexico absolutely the most fun
Thanks for watching
This would be my dream hiking trip
It makes a great basecamp (even at the campground)!
That’s a dream vacation right there ❤ Thanks Steve
It’s a beautiful spot
At around 0:28 you state _"if arriving by air drive south from San Francisco"._ Why SFO at all when you can fly directly into Monterey airport (MRY)? Or even San Jose (SJC) is way more convenient?
@donarthiazi2443 that is an excellent comment! You got me there. My home airport does not fly directly to those other airports but yes, you could save time and money flying to SJC or MRY.
@@PapaSteveOnTheMove Hello Steve and thank you for the quick reply. It's very doubtful one could save money by flying into Monterey. I used to live on the Peninsula and I knew no one that regularly used MRY for that reason. We would all drive up to San Jose and fly out from there. SJC is much closer and *way more convenient* than SFO. That's ashame too because MRY is such a cozy and friendly little airport. I first flew there when Uncle Sam sent me to Fort Ord. I fell in love with the Peninsula and always think of it as my real home. I lived there for six years after the army but it's just too expensive. Even in Seaside. Sorry for being so long-winded, thank you for the videos and safe travels!!
Very good review. I was looking for someone who shows the packacking itself!
@cyv2984 thanks for watching. This is still my go-to shelter for solo trips!
Nice video. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for your review.
Thanks for watching
Nice video...but it's pronounced O-hair-a. Was lucky to have worked there for several years when I was younger.
Thanks for the correction!
Been there in 1968. We saw a monster trout cruising the shore line. In and out in one day. Those were the days!!
That’s a great hike! Appreciate your comments.
Thanks for the video. I first did that hike, starting at Mosquito Creek, in 1973. We went to Devon Lakes and proceeded down the Dolomite to Isabella lake. There was no trail from Isabella to Helen lake in those days. We just followed the creek and our maps! Made it out and then hitch hiked back to Mosquito creek. Trip of a lifetime. Saw my first caribou at Devon lakes.
That is a bucket list hike right there!
@@PapaSteveOnTheMove We never saw another person the entire trip.
Fantastic hike. Thank you for sharing.
Appreciate your support @KurshidsChannel
Hope to take the cruise when we come in middle June. We're hoping to see wildlife as well. Thanks for the info.
Thanks for watching. June is a great time to visit.
Great video. Keep doing what you're doing
@NitrogenNL thanks for your comment! I appreciate the support.
Just got the Baltoro 100 pro. I would rather have a heavier pack, this will allow you to haul heavier loads in comfort. Baltoro all day.
@meandmerat8744 I cannot disagree. I still bring out my Baltoro for longer trips. You may like this video too: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oZijpriRdaXeoc4.html
