  Lol, that cam is actually a little bit big with a higher RPM range, and a stock converter. So the converter is not slipping/ flashing, just a bit too tight before the power range on the cam. Once he loosens up the converter it will rip for sure.

  Got a 500 from Lowes in May. The door rubber closer are junk they broke in the first 2 weeks. The digital dash is junk. the miles are not right , gas gauge isn't very accurate ,Its very noisy and the worse part is a authorized service center is over 100 miles and service is very slow the closest service center lost their mechanic so it no longer services these. Another thing in the first 50 mile it has used a quart of oil. It smokes pretty good when I start it in the mornings. Would I recommend it . NOOOOO

  Todays cars is a very broad statement bud. Some are slower, some are faster. Som make 300hp, some make 1,000hp. He’s got maybe $25k total in the car and he had fun building it. Makes around 650 and that’s all he wants and needs. In the end, it’s not about what car is newer or older, it’s about what car makes more power, weighs less, and has a better driver behind the wheel. That’s how it works bottom line older cars just so happen to be a lot cheaper to build and go faster. Not sure I understand the point of your comment?

  Tires where slipping lol We did a couple pulls and the first time the tires had about 25 psi so we had to stop and empty them down to about 15 psi
