What battery are you using?
I was using a 6200mAh Absima 3s but I have used 2200mAh 3s and occasionally a 4s

I’m trying to figure out if swapping to one of the furitek premium transmissions would solve this. Ideas?
Hey, I am also considering swapping the 2 speed transmission for a single speed, but sadly, most if not all the lash is in the axles. Mainly from the hex pins, they are just too loose. There are some people glueing them or shimming them. If you sort it, I'd be interested in how you get on.

Those are all the same problems I had with the plastic axles. I recently took another chance on MEUS and purchased the MEUS 1.9 Capra aluminum "isokenetic" axles. They are a lot better, but the pin come out of 1 of the joints on the 1st run. MEUS responded to my email fast and sent me another set for just shipping after sending them some detailed pictures. So the customer service isn't that bad. Thanks for sharing 👍🏾🔥
You know I really like the MEUS brand. I have had good customer service from them before so when I contacted them about this I was confident they would sort it. They responded quickly and are shipping replacements as we speak. Hopefully that will be the end of my problems as I really like these axles. Good to know you like the isokinetic axles I may be fitting those to a new build I am working on. Thanks for the info, it helps to build a better picture.

Sorry about your luck bro, I bought the same exact ones with the brass upgrades and took off my ar44s for these and I don't have any issues at all, I was super pleased with mine. Wonder if it's a QC issue 🤔 hopefully you find a solution
I mean I shoulda said in the video how much I like them but I have had a bunch of issues. I guess I will see how MEUS handles my issues and then post another video after that as a follow up. I love the axles and they have taken a beating but these pins coming loose has buggered a could of outings for me. I don't get out much so that really sucks. I just checked the set of supposed upgrade shafts I had spare. Same as yours binding. I noticed they have put a thicker pin to stop them coming out but now they are binding.
Ah I had not noticed the pin diameter change, maybe that's it? I am guessing with some use they will bed in? I have fitted them as I had no choice, I guess we'll see. Thank you for sharing your experience, it'll help to build a bigger picture.

Good video mate, The early meus axles had a problem in the shaft hardening process and front shafts where snapping by the diff locker. Think that's why the released the upgrade shafts, I run 2 sets of these , not had a pin come out problem yet.

@@The_RC_Family had the wheel hex problem same as you but only on brass slw hubs . Did not like meus brass portal covers , Changed to aliexpress brass portal covers and knuckles for vp f10s. Much better for wheel fitment. The Bearings where a very tight fit though down to anodizing.
When you buy because it's cheap.....expect cheap!
They are not exactly cheap, I could have got a set for $50 all in. These were £140 ish
The only brand for upgrades I have never had an issue with is Treal on my TRX4m. The portals are excellent. I only buy other brands if Treal do not make the item I need. Great vid, keep up the solid work! 😎👍
Scale crawlers typically have the equivalent of 2000-6000 scale horsepower. A tiny bit of unspring mass doesn't matter.

That is my goal, to learn and share what I learn. Sometimes opening the wallet is needed but there are a lot of things we can do to gain performance that are free ;)
I wonder if the rotationg mass is an issue with crawlers when going / rotationg so slow anyway.
it is always a bigger load on motor and gears but i believe it compensates in crawling eve though i prefer to add weight on the axles or top of servo.
Preferred on the axle and servo for sure. But sometimes you just need weight anywhere low no matter what (scalers)
It definitely affects punch and runtime for sure but it may affect other elements due to physics.
For my 1/24s and 1/18s its much easier to have brass rings in the tires than anything else (knuckles, diff covers), thats why i wondered. Not sure if i would notice a difference.
typically if a vehicle moves fast you want to reduce the unsprung and rotating mass but for traction in slow movers it is not unheard of to fill tyres with water and add ballast weights to the rims which is all unsprung and rotating mass.
Seems to drive over everything so something is right

They actually hooked up pretty well. Not sure how they would do if the moss was wet though.

I would buy a osmo if the funds allowed as is a great camera, but you got to do what you got to do do do to stay afloat. You are still getting good shots from phone so if it pays the bills sell what you got to mate. Keep ya head up and only move forward 👍

Hard hard choices mate! I generally like the Samsung, but I’m also a sucker for the panning shots and follow cam stuff that the gimbal of the Osmo allows. Fingers crossed you can work something out!
