I went a half size down and the heel slippage is just terrible honestly. The tongue being so loose is actually a problem for me. Shoe is so fire tho, unfortunate. Great review

Im just glad i'm not paying ridiculous resell prices anymore. But I do wish JB would slow down on the releases but I get it. I honestly think JB wants everybody to have a pair but sheesh.
They're just looking to increase their top like revenue, just business, I think
COVID is the cause behind this because everything shut down and resellers were stealing all the GRs and people were desperate just to get that Got Em message.
Which is still on consumers to address why they can't live without that screen

Have you still been buying NKE Stock?
I shifted to buying more index funds most of last year before their stock even dipped. Individual stocks are a small part of my portfolio, partly for this reason. My adidas is outperforming Nike naturally because I bought in at $55/share before they even parted with Ye.

Bring everything back that people want. Let them enjoy the things you enjoy. Hoarding a collection and then getting angry that peasants who actually use the product are driving down your trophies value, is bizarre elitist behavior.
The reality check for me earlier this year was real. Coming to the realization that no one at work really cares what “heat” I’m wearing with my suit. And also, I only go into the office twice a week and the rest of the time I keep the same 3-4 pairs in my daily rotation. I can love the artistry from afar without getting caught up in hype. And I agree, the fear of not having content that will reach the mass audience is scary for some. Much appreciation to you for taking extra steps to make meaningful content.
That realization makes all the sense for you and I would have come to the same conclusion. I appreciate the positive feedback as well.
The whole glue-stain seems to me nitpicking by people who can’t stand it that it isn’t a Jordan/Nike shoe. All of a sudden you here this echo everywhere on KZread. Quite remarkable. Let’s remind this is a shoe of 110 dollar, not a Lebron of 180. And it’s equally good in performing and better looking.
There are entire videos of me returning Jordans because of poor quality on my channel. Both Jordan 12s.
This year I even went as far as returning shoes for not looking or fitting as expected. Like one where the leather was all wrinkled and the shoe hadnt even left the box yet And less orders as a whole. Like for the 990v6, I want a pair. I have seen some colorways I would want. But I have also seen them go on sale in a few stores here. So hopefully one of the colorways I wishlisted will appear in one of those sales soon. They go from 250 to 160 euros and it seems to happen to most colorways. For now I haven't bought any pair in 2 months or so But some pairs I bought during winter and spring were really not meant for the weather we had then and are excellent now. I tried to get a pair of Vomero 5 in a certain colorway, couldn't find it for retail in my size. Couldn't find any other colorway that was nice enough and therefor didn't order them. I have a friend that has a slightly smaller foot than me. I had some pairs of Forums that were unwearable for me, I dont even know why but they fit me terrible. He was very happy to have them 💪🏻
I hope the 990v6 you want goes on sale for sure, wearing a pair right now. And paying it forward with your sneakers to friends is always a good move.

I LOVE this type of sneaker content. TJ you’re becoming one of my favorite sneaker KZreadrs. Please keep this up. It will change some of the buying madness for those that watch. I only buy what I love, and I plan to get many wears out of everything I buy. Internet Hype means nothing to me. I personally was hyped about the Nike Air Max Sunder returning. I’m so glad I got my canyon gold pair. I look at them every other day and it still puts a smile on my face. They are hitting the pavement this week! No I don’t need every color. I’m happy with just one. I wonder, do any of you guys have “sneaker time” at home? lol because I love footwear so much, at times I’ll go into my collection, pull out a few pairs, and just admire the craftsmanship, colorway, details, etc. I don’t need new pairs to do this and keep me appreciative. I'm never sure if it will change anyone's mind but if it's helpful for people to get to a place where they're buying less so they can enjoy what they have and use those funds for other things, that's a good outcome. I can't say that I have sneaker time at home but I think it's important to enjoy more of what we have and if we get in something new, be mindful of how large that collection may be growing. There's an actual Sea Salt and a newer Off White/Sea Salt. Not the same colorways but similar names and different release dates

3-5 pairs a month?! How can people afford Rent/mortgage on that type of budget???
I can see it two ways. Yes this is a great question. If someone's fixed expenses are low relative to their income, then they may be able to do this, as I would buy 2-3 pairs a month in the past. Now people could also not have a lot of disposable income and still buy a lot by putting it on a CC, letting interest build which isn't smart. And some don't care, they just want what they want. I'll say this, not everyone is struggling right now and that's awesome to know. But some could be because of their sneaker buying habits.

When I do cut down. Which I have slightly and also sold some pairs. But I’m not selling no OG models. To me that’s the point of collecting and why I started collecting.

I agree and it takes some of us a while to get there but once we do I think it does wonders.
This is spot on. I took a challenge with a friend and went 6 months without buying a pair of sneakers. I learned a valuable lesson about unnecessary spending. I'm typing this with a big wall of sneakers behind me of which some have never hit pavement. We've got to do better.
We have GOT to better. I felt so guilty deciding to wear certain shoes and realizing I hadn't really worn them since I did an unboxing at pickup because I have so many, working them into rotation felt next to impossible. I'm committing to getting rid of even more pairs this year.

Sneakers are not “dry”, the reason some individuals are into sneakers (resale and chasing exclusivity) is “dry”. I’m really excited for the later half of 2024 and 2025 because of the releases that have been rumored. I don’t care about resale or the exclusivity; I just want to wear nice shoes and look amazing while doing it!
Facts! There are so many options, and many of them aren't at $200 either so it's easier on pickets. Enjoy your pairs and wishing you luck on those pickups.
Needed this because I love my Jordan 34 Jason Tatum Zoo but I always feel like such a dork trying to wear them with anything.
Don't feel that way, rock them and make it your own, or hell, use this as a template.

In the process of trying to cut down to 20 pairs. Daunting but much needed for me🥴😅🤣. Meanwhile that “need” of wanting to cop something keeps kicking in. Pairs like the Vans Knu Skool or the ASICS gel nimbus 9 keep coming to mind even though they’re sitting. It’s the urge. Trying to remain disciplined is hard but yet weird especially when they are pairs I haven’t gotten to yet.
I totally get the pull for the Vans Knu Skool. Many people know how much I love that shoe. What if you got down to 19 pairs, and once you did, the Knu Skool was added to the collection as the 20th pair?

JOIN THE CLUB!!!! I have sneakers I purchased last year, over the last few and even had only for projects, just to realize, I am NOT wearing these shoes like that. So close friends and their kids are having an early Christmas. A lot of them will be donated before the year ends as well but it's time to let these things go.
This is facts. Now a days, I just look at like, the releases don’t hit like they used to. But it’s others types of shoes like new balance, ASICS, Nike venenos. Have all had fire releases.

there are pros and cons compared to the mids… much better fit than the mids but the tongue easily moves to the sides
