I make videos about intentional living and being an essentialist. I also care for the world and environment and try to live more in harmony with the world and nature.

I used to be overwhelmed most of the time and I felt quite lost, kind of drowning in all the excess, details and all the noise that the world had to offer me. Several years ago I stared my extreme minimalist journey to find my own voice, meaning, purpose and to speak my own truth. I believe that less is more and that we need time and space to reflect on our lives, to know what is truly important before it's all too late. Our time here is so precious and short.

People can be so uncaring when it comes to loss of pets. I grew up with pets and have had pets through my life. Right now two cats. The loss of our beloved pet/pets just breaks our hearts every time they get sick and dies. So, I know what you’ve been through and how you feel. When I was younger, young like you, I cared a lot about other people and their feelings and rarely got that empathy and sympathy back. Many people just can’t take it when we feel low, depressed and especially when it comes to grief. You will change as you get older and I hear it already in your words. When in my age (plus 50 that is) you may feel more like “I’m in mourning and if you can’t handle it, well, that’s your problem” and you just shrug it off. You will have some nearest and dearest who actually can understand but don’t be surprised if they stop sympathizing if your grief or depression “takes too long”. Always look after yourself, be a bit selfish without feeling bad about it. I find you a remarkable strong, beautiful and caring person inside and out. Lovely table and your rabbit seems to love it too 🙂 Love and hugs 🌹💗

Anja, I'm sorry for your loss and suffering. I had cared for many pets for most of my life and it has always been difficult to watch them get sick and to lose them, as it is when you love and lose people in your life. Grief is very solitary and personal and everyone does it differently and it can be difficult for other to understand your feelings. The trouble with caring for small animals is that their life span is often short and so the losses are sooner. My last cat was so special to me. She was so loving and was a huge comfort to me when I was recovering from a serious injury. Towards the end of her life she became very ill and eventually we had to have her euthanised. Since then, we have not had another pet. It is good that you have another strong passion to help you through. I hope with one door closing you will discover a new passion that brings you love and contentment.

It’s lovely to see a video from you, Anja. I think some people, perhaps quite a large number, can - to use an English idiom - be ‘fair weather friends’. People who are around for the good times, the successes, the highs. But not to be found when someone is going through hardship or loss or failure or grief. And part of that is surely what modern society teaches us about ‘success’ - it tends to lead to superficiality in relationships, rather than those of deep meaning. A 1,000 social media ‘friends’ but no-one who will call on you to check you’re doing okay. I hope you’re doing okay after this period of grief. Your gentle, counter-cultural thoughts on this channel are really valued.

@@AnjasArtWorld I have 2 Russian tortoises or (horsfields) they stay small, so you can keep them in an enclosure about 6x3ft minimum. I use old bookshelf’s with reinforced bottoms for mine. They are happy on their own, and they really do have unique personalities, mine are both the same age from the same breeder but one is shyer than the other. If you have the space for something bigger Herman’s tortoises are personable and bigger than that red foot or cherry heads. It depends on space and your weather conditions as what would work best for you. I would suggest maybe looking @gardenstatetortoise or @kampkenan here on KZread they have lots of advice of enclosures and what different breeds need. Research is key, it’s just unfortunate there is so much miss information about but I trust these 2 sources. There is an amazing tortoise community on instagram also. ❤️

Aw sweet animals. We had two Holland lopp rabbits for a few years that died a year and a few months apart (last one died two Decembers ago). It was really sad. We no longer have animals. Your sweet animals are lovely. I am sorry to hear about the cat you had. That is a long life it lived. It is okay to change your priorities in order to make sure you feel that peace. I am sorry to hear that you felt helpless at times or guilt in regards to your pets. I loved seeing you repairing this. It turned out so pretty! These art films are really unique! Luckily she did have very good years still and I was able to enjoy her company. Your thoughts and development are very inspiring, thank you for sharing and I think you're headed in a good and healthy direction. You can be so proud of pulling yourself out of a dark place - it's one of the hardest things to do! Focussing on a consistent state of calmness reminds me of the ancient greek philosopher Epicurus. He called that concept Ataraxia, maybe you're interested in reading more about it. Amazing work on that table by the way and so relaxing to watch!
