for arterial line do we apply pressure FIRST and then call nurse?

Hey! You want to apply pressure first because the blood loss would be rapid. Then call for nursing either from the call light or just yelling out to anyone in the hall. Arteries tend to have a higher blood than veins. So we want to start trying to clot it asap. Hope that helps!
