Hey Hayden, just wondered if I could use some of your footage for a video I'm making on East Coast - with appropriate credit of course! Thanks!

That YN63 was like "what the hell is this?"

Thrapston tour
Excellent video all round, really deserves far more views for the effort you put into it. You did well to stick it out in that cold wind at Whittlesey. Those LNER drivers seemed a bit cautious, probably at bit apprehensive of being sent out into the Fens.😀 Some nice shots at Stanground too.👍
Great catch.
This live
It's a live premiere of a video I filmed back in 2020.
Like! No question about it! Great to see the HSTs!! And the old Stagecoach livery! And 73s at the end! Loved every minute! So good to see this channel uploading again!! 👍👍👍👍😁
My friends Nan lived in the house/station been lucky enough to go in there a couple of times. Lots of history inside.
Some shots of the station would have been nice!
It's one thing I regret not doing looking back at the older uploads. I have more videos from more recent years to come in due course where I filmed more on the station!
Nice video
Thanks! :)
This is amazing fella. Very enjoyable and at this point in time i was living at Harrowden Junction by the river 😊 The Kotch. Thanks for uploading
Thanks David, glad you enjoyed watching!
You cycle faster than me...
Great video! Happy New Year!
Thanks, happy new year!
I'll be buying a new camera this year so hopefully out and about again.. need a reason to get out.
I noticed you haven't been out much recently. I still go out an film the odd railtour, preserved railways and days out. All the videos are saved, backed up and organised ready to upload. Unfortunately there isn't a lot left on our local lines and further afield that makes me want to go out with my camera.
@@HomeMoviePerson Understood. But for me there is a social aspect and also a reason to get some fresh air. Unlike you I don't have outside hobbies and have been isolated in my home since covid for the most part. I do have excellent holidays, but the months pass without actually doing anything productive. My railway hobby filled that gap.
Yes I can understand that. I would be lieing if I said there wasn't a social aspect to some of the trips and places I've been this year. Although I've always been a bit weird in that I can go away for several days and not care that I'm by myself, I spend so much time at work by myself Lol. Looking back at my last video we did when we met up (Acton Bridge - which is still in pieces saved on the hard drive!) we did have a great day - would be nice to do something again.
@@HomeMoviePerson I'll message you in the warmer months.
I don't think I've ever seen two Class 222s coupled together before!
Here I Go Again (title of hit single by The Hollies 1964)
Not AGAIN!! that david crook giving likes to HMP's trailers and he doesn't even do them in chronological order...🙄🙄🙄🙄
Yet ANOTHER one I missed first time round and an unquestioned Like now that I have seen it Good to see the shunter oh and 41001 of course...
A trip down memory line for me as well viewing some of these older videos/trailers!
@@HomeMoviePerson Actually the shunter sequence reminded me of Rev. W. Awdry's "Duck & The Diesel Engine" Diesel was a class 08 AND NOT a nice character got sent packing in the end 😄
And I like this one too! I really do like that music!! 😄
KZread copyright in the end stopped me from using this old theme :(
@@HomeMoviePerson Ah I see the replacement wasn't bad though 🙂
@@davidcrook5511 The new one was specially made by a friend!
@@HomeMoviePerson Very kind of him!
And I like this trailer too! Must have missed it first time round; don't know why, because I was still a newcomer to YT and this channel was such a favourite with me especially the Alycidon epic passing that level crossing oh what was it called? On the ECML near Peterborough I THINK...
Its near the Offord's between St Neots and Huntingdon on the ECML! A shot I very nearly missed as only just started the camera in time!
This is real YT nostalgia for me I discovered it in August 2014 and this one brings it all back! 😊
(Can't draw picture of Chad sorry) Wot! No COMMENTS?? Great that you got a pair of 222s one in each of the liveries! HSTs now the stuff that dreams are made of Great video a Like!
The great thing about uploading old videos, I get to relive all the sights that are no gone!
Just seen my earlier comment from 2018 and I've viewed it again, restored it to my Likes and it looks better than ever! Good to be back and so sorry for being away ☹
I've been away for quite sometime as well, need to start regularly uploading again.
@@HomeMoviePerson Oh please do! 😃
Hello. "You see a penitent sinner before you." (Richard Brinsley Sheridan "The Rivals") I had a bad hair day and I wiped out all my Liked Videos and subscriptions in a fit of childish temper. I want to be like the prodigal son and come back. Please may I? So good to hear your signature tune again and I remember the shot of the Britannia in the snow. Going to look that one up NOW.
Promo-SM
Cannon Street is in the City of London, north of the Thames. Southwark is on the opposite side.
Thanks for correcting me!
What I noticed is how poorly the traffic light is configured to that bridge. The light for straight on green all the time while the bridge is open and the light for going right on red while no opposing traffic was to be expected due to the same bridge.
GREAT SIGHT. I have flown
I remember having to leave home quite early in the morning to see these go up! I'd love to have a flight in one of these, something I have talked about doing with Amy.
Have you got any videos from this years Northampton Balloon Festival
I do yes. I managed to get some video of the morning and afternoon flights on the last day.
@@HomeMoviePerson amazing! I was there on both of those flights so maybe I'll be in the video
nice to look back Hayden
Thanks Keith.
Wow. Lovely that mate
Thanks David 👍
Great video! Oh how I miss the old midland mainline and it’s HSTs
Thanks! Yes I do too, it's nice at the moment to look back at these older videos with them in!
Great video!
Many thanks!
Some lovely recordings of the 66s grafting up the bank there. Have you been there recently? Looks like another spot sadly being lost to overgrowth especially since our visit in 2016.
Just checked in my archives. The last time I was here was in June 2022 for a steam special. Looking in the direction of the church, the wheat fields seen in this video were all fenced off. They were in the process of building houses. Those long shots on the curve are or will be a thing of the past by now, as well as the overgrowth. I might see if I can make a detour to here when I'm next in Northampton to see whats happened.
Golly....the many hours that I;ve stood there and like you I have miles of film tucked away. Well done mate
Thanks Keith. Looking back in my archives, bar one steam special I filmed in June 2022, this was the last time I spent any amount of time here. Unfortunately in 2022 they had a good deal of the field in the Northampton direction fenced off for houses so I think that long view on the curve has gone now. Your old videos will be treasured more than ever...
nice to look back on. Cheers
Thanks Keith. If memory serves me right I filmed these scenes in 30 minutes whilst waiting to change trains.
Lovely that bud. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching David!
He's back...
All old stuff for the time being unfortunately. Continued videoing throughout, just lost the enthusiasm to upload.
Will it be coming through Dawlish
Unfortunately it won't be looking at the rail tours its due to work during the rest of the year.
Well that brings back some memories! Glad we did that rather than the airshow!
Yes it really does bring back some great memories, it's nice to revisit these old videos. We should visit the airshow at Cosford, something I would still like to do if you're still up for it!
Just been along this afternoon to try and get some views, not easy with the summer growth, it's on the list for Dumpman Films to do one of these days.
I miss when the NRM was the heart of the railway heritage community. Every loco was here and everything felt so alive. I remember Coppernob in the station hall; it looked so much better down there.
Yes I know exactly how you feel. I look back at all the old videos and feel like the place has lost its way a lot really.
I literally agree with this i miss the the 387s and 377s on thameslink so as the 319s and that is rare for a thameslink train at platform 4
Awesome catches, love those freight trains
Thanks.
A very nice job, you have managed to get in closer to the front of the station than I ever have, the goods shed is still in good repair I managed to get down there one evening for a look and took some photos. The interesting thing you missed is that there are still some remains left of the guard house and the transhipment facility built during world war two for the top-secret delivery of mustard Gas yes Mustard gas to RAF Twinwoods, this was a plan drawn up between Churchill and Roosevelt to deliver the Gas using Iron bombs to the Nazis via the US 8th Air Force. Check it out it is fascinating. The locals all knew about it and called it the chemical railway!
Thanks for sharing that information. I will certainly have to return to see if I can take a look at that as it sounds really interesting!
Was that you in Wellingborough saving the trees. Excellent vid mate
It was yes! You'll probably have seen me in @PurpleVision or @Damien's Trains and Travels videos of us down the embankment when we protested.
I can't believe they've been allowed to build over this.
I must admit I was quite surprised. I'm glad I took my video camera out to try and record it. Anything of significance they seem to remove or build over.
Great shot!
Thanks!
