  Per me Lauri-Volpi è di gran lunga superiore a Corelli. Ha un fraseggio migliore e non era fuori campo sul si bemolle come Corelli durante il suo debutto al Met.

  Fa veramente paura, credo sia stata per lui un' impresa domare una voce simile nei centri e nei filati, come cercare di tappare un vulcano che sta per esplodere. Dal La acuto in poi penso abbia gli stessi decibel di Del Monaco ma con una formante di canto sviluppata all' inverosimile ed uno squillo che lo distinguono da tutti gli altri

  Poiché il 99% dei cosiddetti musicofili, di canto non sa e neanche capisce qualcosa, l'unica percezione che posseggono è quella dell'emissione di voce nelle note acute tenorili. Adesso riflettiamo un istante: questo brano è stato composto a suo tempo per chi? Per i somari che ragliano e i cani che abbaiano? No di sicuro, quindi legioni di tenori lo hanno coscienziosamente interpretato IN TONO come si conviene a un cantante professionista. La particolarità, se mai, è nella timbrica del cantante che può essere più o meno gradevole. Allora il sig. Giacomo Lauri Volpi ha cantato come doveva, poi avrà avuto una timbrica particolare che sarà stata apprezzata convenientemente. Non da tutti a quanto ne so, anche se personalmente sono un estimatore del cantante.

  @@aleksandrsantonenko4402 Mediocre among todays 2nd division Tenors. indistinctive, hard to distinguish on times from a baritone. Nice chap but with a voice about as exciting as a filing cabinet.

  La beauté de la voix est indéniable et les harmoniques fabuleuses même à 61 ans. Pavarotti lui-même accordait à Gigli le titre de ténor à la voix la plus élastique qui soit. Il pouvait tout chanter....même si on lui reprochait parfois de rajouter un peu trop de pathos dans son phrasé. Chapeau bas devant une voix d'exception!

  Estoy escuchando a este " monstruo" de la dulzura que hace todas las cosas...que corrigen otros profesores... Dios y con una personalidad " abazallante" consigue la " dulzura" hasta las lágrimas; ¿por qué ...?; porque sigue " partituras" y no reglas impersonales; por ; eso, porque pone " su sello"; su personalidad, su yo ; no el de Pavarotti o la CalS; eĺ suyo... Que Pavarotti ni Pavarotti; esta dulzura no la tiene nadie, nadie , ni los " sabiondos" de las clases magistrales, hasta cierto punto ; no es magistral si se " acosa" al alumno; es pobre, mediocre; se lucen ellos y el alumno se empequeñece; no era así Sr. Kraus, cuando usted " retaba" al alumno delante del auditorio; hasta las lágrimas... ¡Que joya!
