Love a video on how to change your water filter on a Rockwood.
That ram won't do to bad on fuel. I've been pulling campers for 10 years and would take a diesel over a gasser any day. More pulling power and in the end the fuel between Gas and diesel you'll spend more for gas than diesel.
@@jakedad21 hi petrol is nearly $7 a gallon and diesel is $8 per gallon so the little iveco is the most economical followed by the Ford Ranger which in the UK is at 3.2 L diesel 200 hp which calls the small 5th Wheel is very easily and we just love the Dodge. Thanks for following the channel. Why not subscribe if you already haven’t help build the channel, all the best Paul
@CCRVUK gotcha. I didn't know that was a diesel. I need that to run campers here in the US. I've pulled a few to the poet going to UK. One was yours, that's what made me look yall up just to see what it's like there.
Someone buy him a beer for me! That works in less than 30 secs! Thats a national hero right there 😅
@@IrvinA-d2u thanks for that. We just had a laugh and I’m gonna get Ashley a beer. Thanks for following the channel.
The price of these units , the quality should be no less than 30 years. The design of these units are absolute shit. Think like a rain drop and if you cant. Maybe make bump outs sealed 1 piece fiberglass or other synthetic . Problem is they want them to fail. But for the price people are paying for these units there should be no excuse.
@@dsawyer8 hi the problem is when they leak is down to the environment and how they are maintained. It’s a bit like your car if you don’t service it it will fall to bits. If you don’t check your gutters and downpipes on our house you’ll get water problems it’s nothing really to do with the build quality they sell millions in the USA and Canada where the weather can go from - 20 to +40 so there is going to be expansion and contraction servicing and general maintenance will prolong the life of your van. Thanks for your comment. Hope this helps all the best Paul.
like the idea of 5th wheel but got too used to super king sized beds and don't have a pick up.
@@shaungilmartin1505 that is a Shane you never know you might change your mind one day thanks for following the channel anyway. All the best Paul.
Perfectly fine if the pin weight is right
@@AngusLewis-rn6jq that’s correct. The Ford rangers have just over one ton payload in the back and rated at 7 tonnes train weight so perfectly fine to tow the smaller 5th Wheels
If you’re changing from a short bed, 5 foot to a 6 1/2 foot bed 2500. What changes should be done to the Reese
@@AngieHansen-h8d nothing really they should go straight in and work just the same just make sure the wedge on the Hitch is tight in the jaws on the hitch on the truck and you should be good to go
Now that's a great day at the races, love the video.
@@GymKatt thanks for that. Yeah, we had a great time. My grandson Oliver really enjoyed it and it was great to meet David Todd thanks for following the channel.
Lovely units
Hello. We're tentatively interested in fifth wheels, and have watched lots of your videos. Just wondering if you could make sense of all the different models for me. Lots of numbers and letters that don't seem to have obvious meanings. Do hope to come to have a look at your stock which I realise will help explain this, but in the meantime a written explanation would be appreciated. Many thanks, Neil Slater
@@neilslater9854 hi Neil I can’t really work it out myself all I know is BH means Bunkhouse WS means wardrobe slide RL means real lounge. The numbers don’t really relate to length or anything for instance of 28. RL is actually 30 feet long fibreglass to fibreglass maybe that internal measurement, but you would be better off come and see us, and we can try and work it out together all the best, Paul
@@CCRVUK cheers Paul. Glad it's not just me😂just seen another video of you at your Wisbeach site.....did I hear right that it's predominantly permanent living models there, therefore towable models at Mildenhall? Would love to come down and see you, just waiting to see what happens with our house sale👍
@@neilslater9854 hope the sale goes through see you soon, Paul
How on earth do the slides come in and out with the objects placed in them, how do you sort that stuff out
@@deusvult8251 hello you don’t move anything the slide comes in with all the furniture in place. I will put that in one of the videos just to show people how easy is Americans are lazy people there is no moving. Thanks for your comment. All the best Paul.
Volume didn't start till 1:44
@@stevehewson8903 oh dear, I’ll check it out
Excellent video and very helpful, thanks for the heads up on the site too, we’re going to give this a try in September 😊
@@thebebbsbeat yes it’s very efficiently run and well geared up for 5th Wheels good location close to Cambridge see you soon
This is like a fat lady wearing a G string.. the body is just not designed for it.
Hi paul, what pick up would you recommend in your experience. I bought a hitch from a guy in Wales and he recommended i get a Toyota Hilux but i see a lot of people with Ford Rangers in your videos.
@@mattuk1693 many people have towed with Ford Rangers with great success. I’m sure the Toyota is just as good if I hadn’t got a truck and was buying one I would buy a Ford if you already have a Toyota that would be fine. Hope it helps all the best Paul.
Hi from NNY. Went out bought plex pie 10' cut down to 6' to fix in my rv. Watch this video a few times. Fished pipe, though the elbows down to black tank worked back and forth a few times and still no luck. Is there anything else I can do?
@@GregWilcox-be8jg sounds like the outlet pipe is blocked. Sometimes people put wet wipes and stuff in the RV toilets and it will block up at the exit point. you’ll have to drill a hole and poke a coat hanger with a little hook to put any debris down. Hope this helps.
Refreshing to see a young couple who can afford one these days....
Cheaper than buying a motorhome.
@@stevehewson8903 yes definitely we said all age groups some people before time some people touring thanks for coming appreciate it
@@Beckycorbetthypnotherapy I totally agree, I meant it's nice to see it's not only retired people that can afford it in the present financial climate... 👌👌
@@CCRVUK When I was their age the only fifth wheeler you could purchase in the UK was made by a company in Wales, and they were in fact more expensive than my house and so a motorhome was a lot cheaper....👌👌

Thank you for all the help and training.

It came out so well, in spite of me being in it 😂🥴 Great job everyone! Thank you very much.

Yeah we’ve got on the caravan and motorhome club sites. We’ve just emailed beforehand and sent our measurements before booking with our fifth wheel.
They're taking the piss calling that this "ultra light"😂
Ultralight in the American terms as far as 5th Wheels go
just beacuse you add air bags it dose not increase the towing maybe pay load but not towing
Hi, it uprated the train. weight of the Ford Ranger from 6 tonnes to 7
Those blocks are brilliant. Thank you so much the help and advice is fantastic.
You’re welcome part of the training-service at CCRV
Thanks- but I hope I never need to do this 😬

Hi, we got our wild cat from Jay & Jayne, could you get some details of what fridge Roger put in please, we are look to swap ours out.
Hi, give us a call over at Mildenhall and check the records and see what Fridge had. All the best Paul.
Lmao straight out of gta
I wish Rockwood would put that in at the factory. I would definitely pay extra for that.
I have suggested it thanks for following the channel. Make sure you subscribe really helps us out. Thanks again all the best Paul.
3:20 that was almost... very bad
Hopefully the idea worked for you. There are some other videos on the toilets and how they work not subscribe to the channel help us build help other people in the RV community. All the best from UK.
Terrific video. I've snake a lot of toilets and waste lines (in buildings) but never on a boat. I got a cheap piece of very flexible garden hose. Your method worked really well. I went all the way to the end of my 4' hose piece without clearing the problem, so I suspect the blockage is near the vacuum tank assembly - so I'll take those apart and work from there (or get a longer hose.) Twisting it around and around works for snaking anything - I've just never tried with a hose that big.
Thanks for the comment Why not subscribe to the channel. Lots more hints and tips from the UK. All the best Paul.
How big and how long ?
What about three-quarter inch pipe about 6 feet long?
What sort of vehicle would tow this please
You'd need an American pick up like a Dodge RAM or similar + have C1+E category on your UK driving licence (you also have to reapply and have a medical at age 70)
Not really for towing, we show him to Showman,. It’s more of a static holiday home full-time living thanks for coming.
@@CCRVUK He did ask what would tow it though.
@@michaelelliott9657 you’ll need an Arctic Dodge ram or something like that it will not tow on a UK truck. It’s too heavy.
Another great video, and a beautiful unit, I just wish we could tow on UK roads with a Ford Ranger 😢
Oh I need this for our dog. Brilliant
You can have some for free, Becky when you come down next see you soon, Paul
What are you guys towing those 5th wheels with?
UK Ford Ranger 3.2 turbo diesel automatic or some folks have American trucks if you look at some of our other videos you’ll see the trucks manoeuvering and driving. All the best, Paul
$5 later and my toilet is working again. Thank you!
Does this work for if the black water tank won’t drain? Or only the toilet itself not draining to the black water tank?
The only works if the pipe from the bottom of the toilet into the tank is blocked have a look on our channel. There are some other videos on Toilet blocking problems all the best Paul.
Thats a defender 130 👍
Thanks for pointing that out weren’t really sure of the model
@William64641 Just updated the text and thumbnail to 130, can't do anything about my vid though!
Paul I’ve sent you a message on WhatsApp mate. Scott.
I got it Scott. See you in June.
Interesting, I see this question asked a lot on different groups if you can tow fifth wheels with a defender, I was also going to ask if it could tow a USA 5er like a Rockwood etc.
The enthusiasts will say the defender is a better truck than a Ford Ranger we have driven both the defender is for the enthusiast. They’re not as refined as a Ranger a couple hundred miles driving and you’ll be knackered trying to keep it in straight line and they don’t have the power on the hills, if you’re not a defender nerd stick with a Ford Ranger is the best Truck round at the moment for towing and using as a car all the best Paul
Great answer Paul, thank you, definitely didn’t want a defender I was just curious as seen the question asked, we love our Ranger and it does a great job. Would be interesting though to see how well the newer 3.0 bi turbo does the job. 👍
Oh Wow super interesting. Do you think it could tow a Rockwood 5th wheel?
Not really sure if it’s got the power even to tow that globe stormer to be honest I know the Landrover defenders say they’re the best but everyone we’ve ever put on a defender the engine has blown up is when they get to the hills it kills the engine thanks for following the channel all the best Paul
Really good video, when levellling the unit, do you use a level, like a caravan? sorry for the daft question 😃
Hi, no it’s electric levelling on most of them. Americans are quite lazy people they wouldn’t be out there with windup jacks thanks for following the channel. Really appreciate it. All the best Paul.
I’m watching you remove the silicon and thinking don’t drop it on Dave’s head!

Well done👏👏
Thanks, for following the channel Matt
what licence do you need to drive one of these? Thank you
Ideally c1+e but I’ve just had a customer do extensive research and had it confirmed via DVLA that B plus E is adequate up to 7 times combined train weight. Hope that helps all the best Paul.
Brilliant video - some lovely units.
Thanks for following the channel. Let me know if there’s any videos you’re interested in. Give us some ideas. All the best Paul.
Out of interest, is the Navara up plated to 3501kg or greater due to issues with the body length? Or is the C1+E requirement because of the 3500kg trailer limit on a B+E?
If you’re talking about 5th Wheel it’s the train wait that is important. The Navara 3 L is six tonne standard train weight and can be upgraded to 7 tonne train White. Hope this helps your thinking of Caravan, law off of a tow bar on 5th Wheel it is a combined weight of the trailer and the truck and passengers fuel et cetera that is important
@@CCRVUK Thanks for taking the time to respond. It wasn't the maximum towing capacity I was wondering about though. My question was why it requires a C1+E rather than a B+E licence. The Navara can normally be driven upto its maximum train weight with a normal trailer and a B+E licence. So I wondered why these outfits require a C1+E instead.
@@guitarman256 oh I’m with you it’s so confusing as I understand it the B plus E allows you to drive up to 7 ton if that’s the case you legally can tow with you on the bar of 5th Wheel most of my customers have the C1 plus e license grandfather writes past test Pre 1997 it’s really confusing if the B+e is 7 ton train your okay? Hope this helps. I’m as confused as you all the best Paul.
