I also feel many so-called instructors teach this with the carelessness of teaching you how to change your oil or replace the spark plugs in your drive way. They are not the same thing, overshooting a corner into incoming traffic will kill you. Period, violently, your family will have to identify you at the morgue through dental records because they will be nothing left of you. It is a BIG freaking deal, yet it's often taught too casually, like picking up the mail. Again, great job on this video!

The reason your video is so good is you did two things: 1. You kept it simple 2. you shot it from both angles front view and helmet. This makes it easy to remember, easy to implement. Albert Einstein and Winston Churchill said "Only a fool takes 100 words when he could have said it in one sentence". Great job really, you probably have saved countless lives.

Okay so I've ridden dirtbikes for about 2 years now, and my dad has an MV Agusta F4 2015 and a ducati 998 2002 i rode the MV for the first time and was scared shitless because I went from an 85 cc bike to a 1000cc 💀 this video definetly helped me become more comfortable with my turning and leaning THANK YOU

Never ever ride with old school tires. They are meant for the freeways and highways. I was looking at the exit but my bike doesn't want to go there. It ran wide... 😂😂😂

Hi Simon, excellent, I've only been riding for 6 months and this is very helpful, have you any similar useful tips for something I sometimes struggle with is moving off at a junction turn 90 degrees, left or right onto a new road and sometimes I find myself running wide.

Tip Leaning the bike underneath you, using counter balance, places your head to see farther through the curve. I'll use some front brake but I focus on dragging the rear through most curves and maneuvers. It provides more balance and quicker throttle response. I keep at least 1% throttle on rather than coast, regulating with the rear brake.

Seems like the best way to avoid fear is to drive slower and drive in the most defensive part of your lane.

Do you like the quickshifter? I have a 2018 that does not have a quickshifter. I am wanting to add probably the annitori one to it and the Akrapovic Carbon full exhaust. I am in the mountains of Western NC where we ride a lot of curvy back roads. I am also thinking about changing my shifter to GP shift after riding my friend's ZX6R that was set up that way

I am a new rider, less than a year, and had my first accident today. I went down on a corner today after making a stupid miscalculation and overshooting, hitting the (thankfully) soft verge. My bike is scratched up and my shoulder aches like heck but I know it could have been so much worse. Thank you for this video, I came looking for advice and found this.

Do you have to let off the throttle to use the quick shifter up? I just rode a friend's brand new zx6r that has a quickshifter and you had to let off the throttle on it. I thought that was odd as the purpose of it is to stay on throttle

I found this video really useful and noticed the two finger pull on the brakes, I’ve been doing a full hand grab .. eek. I’ve returned to biking after a 30 year break and riding a modern machine was quite daunting at first. My friend has 30 years experience under her belt and a bike with 60% more power and gets frustrated with me being so slow. I ride my ride but I do want to be smoother, faster, and more confident in cornering, not for her but for me. My bike my ride. Thank you.

Hi, I am using a maxi scooter for commuting to work, I know a scooter is not cool, but it has a lot of advantages, it is has massive storage under the seat, great weather protection, super comfy e and riding in town is super easy because it is just twist and go. Maybe try to test ride an yamaha x max or honda forza and see for yourself.

yes good to know i will try this control. because my son has friends that ride crazy fast and when i ride with them i can keep up and those corners are the worst they go crazy fast and i am only a dirt rider off road master, but the street is so crazy with cars and sand and holes and slippery white lines or yellow lines too when wet, but i only use the rear brake on the dirt never the front brake off road, but i must get use to the front, for i only use the rear and way to much and they got hot and went onto a thing called brake fade and guess what yep no brakes going into a turn at 70 MPH and drifting over to the side of the lane where the sand was i could not hit the front brakes at all and did not think to down shift it happen so fast that all i did was lean way over and it look like i was a world class rider at THE ISIE of Man TT [ Tourist Trophy ] Races on that 33.7 Mile Mountain course with over 200 bends... so proud and lucky i made it out of that turn, the master rider behind me told me: what happen back there? i thought you were going to lose it and i have seen so many riders lose it up here in the back mountains of San Diego, Calif... i reply yes i know i to thought i was done for my rear brakes did not work at all making that turn at 70 MPH was just crazy with no brakes all i could do it happen so fast was lean over very far and hope i did not go to far over off the lane for there was a mountain bank i would go into not a cliff so i was lucky there... but i will try to learn to use the front brakes never heard of using a front brake ever from anyone yet this is a new way to ride for me... Great Video Thank You for posting..
