Love your videos as I'm an Affinity diehard through and through in all formats except EDH. You should really try using Witching Well or Candy Trail in your decks. They really make the games smoother and holds the deck together. You're not always going to get fast hands and you're gonna get clingy land hands. This fixes that, gets to your threats faster and can afford to keep 1 land hands just about most of the time. I win WAY more games bc of it. Consider trying it and you'll see. The drawing attached is icing on the cake.

I like the addition of the whales and the helix combo. Seems a bit more powerful than the previous blue affinity, and has a potential combo finnish. Not sure that the golem foundry is the most optimal combo piece for it though, especially since you're playing a lot of non artifact creatures but at the same time it gets to trigger of your cherios.. I've been experimenting with Etherium Spinner and Molten Gatekeeper as combo pieces in my affinity deck though that one is more focused towards the combo but can still do some beatdown.. Also didn't you use to run Hard Evidence or am i getting my decks mixed up?

Heya. Love the channel (just found it and subscribed). I like [Veteran Armorer] for fitting the theme of this deck, but I'm not in love with it in terms of function. It does help protect against board wipes, but with a playset of [Prismatic Strands] already in the deck and [Loyal Cathar] replacing itself after a [Breath Weapon], it doesn't seem as needed. I know [Doomed Traveler] is a bit of a wuss, but it also replaces itself after removal (and with an evasive threat that still gets pumped by [Guardians' Pledge]) on top of being another 1-drop to get [Search Party Captain] out sooner. Otherwise, [Porcelain Legionnaire] seems like the best attacking soldier that isn't in the deck already, but it does have the downside of not being a hit off [Militia Bugler] even though it costs two mana to cast. Maybe doubling and having [Novice Inspector]? Seems tough to have an aggressive pauper deck that can only play [Thraben Inspector] or plainscycle on turn one, but a lot of the 1-mana soldiers just aren't good enough. [Deftblade Elite] can help some things get through and [Soltari Foot Soldier] gets through on its own, but neither seems super exciting.

(Make them discard their hand/kill spells) Cut all 4 Nights whispers for deadly Disputes, Cut all 4 cast down with 4 tithing Blades(artifacts) Cut 2 doom blades for 2 Slice from the shadows Cut all 3 Fili Familiars for a single copy of each of: energy Refractor, distributed burial, echoing return. Tron and control seems to go hand in hand.. But without a card advantage package with deadly dispute and artifacts i think you need a reliable way to continously draw without having to hurt your self (since the madness burn and red decks is quite popular).. Thorn of the Black Rose has been a black control stable for a long time, and also trades with any boggle.

If I may ask about Utopia Sprawl: A was in a tournament using Bogles and thought UP can give two mana when tapped, but my opponent said I have to use up the Enchanted forest's mana first before the extra mana I chose gets added into my mana pool, meaning I still get "one mana" out of my UP, which sounds bad. Do I immediately get 2 mana from my Forest enchanted with Utopia Sprawl as if it were a bounce land producing 2 mana? Sorry for asking here, just wanna clarify. Love the Eldrazi Spawn deck tho! I'd love to play this in my locals one day

  • @MurmuringMysticMTGBrews-pq6iq

I don't know what your opponent is talking about. When you tap the land, you immediately get the extra mana. So you'll always get the 2 mana total. You don't have to spend your land's mana first. Sweet, give the eldrazi Spawn a try. It's fun and strong

I've done some testing with this deck and found that it has a lot of potential. The changes I have made so far are: replace mana base with mh3 landscapes so you can get swamps consistently; add in two more snuff out because this deck really needs early interaction, and removal that can hit big creatures; replace hooting mandrills with Gurmag angler because Gurmag Angler is bigger // better; add in two "Branching Bolt" which is sometimes a two for one, and is a clean removal spell for Guardian of the Guildpact; and remove 3 demonic dread because it is really bad for alot of reasons. I don't play best of three, but I would put 4 dragon's breath in the sideboard instead of reverent silence, and would put in another two branching bolts. Also, Personally, I trimmed on Llanowar visionary, just because it didn't seem very good to tap out with, or all that good in the late game. Soooo yeah.

With 80 cards I would force at least 3 or even full set of Excludes. I respect those results, but those ramp spells never worked for me... But. I have never played with 43% lands in teachings - it was more like 35-38%. It might be a good change to teachings archetype overall.
