    Just got my X20S, lovely radio. Only little gripes so far, my back cover screws are Torx (maybe a recent change) and the rudder stick tension Allen screw came stripped, so no adjustment possible, I'll just have to live with it. That said, I love the versatility of this radio. ❤

    Nice job wiring. On my Bronco all the batteries are under the canopy. Much much easier to remove for charging. Plus my cg needed some nose weight. I'll assume the owner is removing the center wing section for transporting. If so, then your wiring should be fine. Still...excellent job...very neat.

    Hello Jim, thanks for the comment. Actually the rear dome/fairing has been designed and is quick release, so with the center wing section installed or the airplane fully assembled at the field, its less than a minute to access the batteries in the rear compartment. The owner plans on keeping the center wing installed and that was the design intent to have them accessed from the rear. Thanks.

My latest video of the 760X, I am using that new setup. I unfortunately don't remember all the setting and the Axon unit that was in that helicopter is now sold. I know I used basic F3C settings and I did not adjust much, if any, of the basic settings. I tame down the cyclic rates to equal approximately 4 degrees for the hover and might run 10% expo with the reduced cyclic rates. I do not use auto level or any other functions on the demon when I had it, just the basic FBL functions. I hope that helps and if I can be of any other assistance, please reach out. Take care and talk soon. Jason

    the servos are made from blue bird and are garbage. You might have a bad unit. I had a beastx do the same thing to me with the BK servos. I sent them back twice and got tired of them so I swapped them out and my problem went away.

  • @KelharDesigns
    @KelharDesigns Жыл бұрын

    That is certainly good to know. I had never had an issue with the BK servos in the past and the servos worked perfectly after I reinstalled the motor and ESC after check-out by Scorpion. The only thing I did differently was use one 1.00 mm shim in the correct location, instead of the two I was using to get better pinion-main gear alignment. But, I changed too many things at once and hard to pinpoint what was the smoking gun when it came to the servo jitters. I have since swapped out the servos to a set of ProModelers that I typically use and they are working perfectly as well now. Thanks for the comment!

  • @KelharDesigns
    @KelharDesigns Жыл бұрын

    I run a straight line throttle curve(s) for idle 1 at 50% and idle 2 at 60%. I use the governor in the Scorpion Tribunus ESC. With the 500kV motor and 9.33 gear ratio, I am setup for 1,350-1400 rpm for idle 1 and 1,600-1650 rpm for idle 2. The video was flown in idle 1. Pitch curve is linear from -100 - 100 with 12 degrees of pitch both positive and negative. Currently, for normal normal and idle 1 I run zero pitch until half stick and hover at 3/4 stick, which is around 5-6 degrees of pitch. I am setting up the helicopter to hover at half stick as that simulates my scale helicopters and this is used for proficiency. I hope this helps, and please feel free to ask any more questions!

    I would suspect some static building up and then discharging - and by that upsetting the potentiometers in the servos - an effect like from a van der Graaf generator. I fly with Futaba servos and with other Futaba electronics but I saw a similar effect when a governor RPM sensor was touching lightly against an engine fan (in a nitro heli). At high RPM that was creating enough static to upset either the servo or the flybarless unit, resulting effectively in almost the same "jerking" servo movements.

    OK you're going to hate me but ditch your power supply and run the ESC internal one. Got me swirling my brain on this one brother. For the sake of your time you should try moving axon behind Anti rotation Pin. If that still twitches I would replace flight controller. I’m interested in how you set up your head. I don’t like the multi blade PC/drive link set up on Roban heads.

    @@terrencejackson4587 Sorry for the delay in my reply. I used turnbuckles from Gator RC and the stock ball links along with bicycle brake cable end caps for the ball link with lock nut. Thanks. There is a assembly thread on ScaleRChelis.com

    Do not worry Jason open the needle because it's a bit slim and then you'll see that he'll turn very well. However, it is very regular even at a minimum and a good sound. Nice!!!
