  Please stop posting these videos as I can not get any work done for watching. The whole system is just superb and trying to highlight items is difficult. The live steam sound is so realistic, the Darjeeling loco and rake is fantastic. The variation in locations and the full size railway item were just delightful. Oh yes the viaduct, well as they say in the USA, just awesome. Great video and running session, thank you.

  Katie is performing superbly! Tom, in your experience, what is the secret to getting the launch-type firebox to steam well? Tradition says that the Heywood boilers didn't steam well, but she seems to be unaware of that tradition!

  Perrygrove is very similarly set out like one of the estate railways Heywood built and marketed, 3/4 mile long with sharp curves and short steep gradients. Katie settled right in and worked incredibly well with the box filled up at the bottom and left well alone until we were at the top. The more draw on the fire on the uphill bits the better it steamed. I believe they have had issues with it elsewhere because of the longer less steep but faster paced layout of the track on railways like Ravenglass where she struggles to keep up with demand. A slower pace but lugging stuff round is what she’s built for. Looking forward to her next visit.

  Really nice that. I like how easily they take the gradient. As for the weeds, for me it adds to he more natural atmosphere, all railways have weeds, its only when they cause problems like derailments etc then the snippers are needs

  Hi Tom, Teddy family and friends, in recent years many recordings have been made about the HSB routes and lines, as you know! What I now see is that you have placed the HSB and material in a completely new decor and it appears very fresh, although it is good to see that the landscape upwards has unfortunately completely changed. The angles of the images are also in my opinion spectacular.Good work! Thank you very much for sharing.

  I enjoy the IOM locomotives. They're so suggestive of the early types used here in New Zealand - particularly our "D" class 2-4-0T.
