R44 is a great place to start and a buy. After you get a couple hundred hours you’re really going to enjoy the MD500. (H500C is good start but the NOTAR is a gas.) I have 9K RW and 2K FW., MEL and getting back into my IFR. Really like your style. You might look at Gazelle. SA341/342. It’s like a big H500. VNE 168kts. Sometimes they are cheaper than H 500s. BTW, I agree with your decision, not to fly true IFR in an SEL VNY to FAT. I have done it over the same route, even up to KTVL, KMEV many times, obviously with no issue but it’s a risk. Did it more often in a B60 Duke, which was cake. On the other hand, having flown >9000 hours in helicopters, I probably have a different risk tolerance than you do. Good luck.

when's the next upload I'm motivated by your work.I work at and FBO on the central coast of California and if I do go the pilot route I would want to get into the corporate flying and build a career in that path rather then airlines even though that'd still on the table. I am very fond of gulfstreams and globals bombardiers either or it would be a dream to fly either one and make good money as well as travel.

Damn so I guess I can’t smoke weed and be a commercial pilot? I already smoke as a pilot, although I have my own plane and am not part 135. Obviously I don’t smoke anytime before flying, I usually stick to general rule of the no substances 12-15 prior to a flight.

Thanks this video is really great! I want to get into corporate flying soon as I'm still very young and just got my CPL and will have to wait quite some time to get my ATP. After I get my CFI and do that for a year or two, I want to try and transition over to corporate if possible and have some fun in that world and maybe stay there full time instead of going to the airlines!

Your camera operator needs to learn how to adjust the shutter in the camera so the gauges and instruments don't flash and blink... instead of giggling like a little child learn your gear.

Another great video. I love the laid back but serious attitude in the cockpit. Texas is a wide state. 😆 I drove across it several times in my former life as a truck driver, and your right there is a whole lot of nothing out in West Texas. If you like great Texas chilli there is or was a little dive just off of I 10 in comfort TX. That had incredible chilli. It was just a little white building all by itself just off the frontage road.
