  Hey dude. Appreciate the links and explanation for the lights. Gonna put LEDs in my z31. Although it looks like you have red LEDs in your dash cluster. If thats true, what bulbs does the dash cluster take?

  Thanks for this explanation! With this method, do you not need to remove the valve covers and undue the cam bolts to set proper tension? I know the SM calls for this step for proper tension etc.

  I have never had to release the tension through the rockers. What I do is set the motor to TDC, the. With the timing covers off, you can use the crank bolt to ever so slightly release the belt tension by gently rotating the crank CCW. You will see the belt gain slack.

  Yup. There's instructions in the box that covers both Bose and non-Bose.

  Correct, you're seeing them as raw aluminum. I did paint mine black and added the Brembo decals!

  Heres another idea you might like. You could run a fat turbo that builds boost late and use an electric clutched supercharger pulley like the ones found in supercharged Audis, Mercedes, and Toyotas (similar to an AC Compressor clutch). Then you can tune the MS3 ecu to deactivate the clutch once the turbo is fully spooled, that way the supercharger doesnt instill any parasitic loss. Just spitballin some ideas. The supercharger should also help bring down the turbo's boost threshold since youre gonna be building more exhaust gasses due to the supercharger shoving more air in the engine.

  This is soo cool i found this i recently bought a 01 frontier supercharger im rebuilding the engine doe to bent rod an I’ve been thinking on doing this same thing been eyeing svt superchargers for a bit excited to see what you do an the mega squirt because i didn’t know what ecu to use

  Yeah they're definitely not as popular as the LS or a Coyote. But you can definitely build one to support high HP.

  Good job! do you have any fabrication photos you can share I also have a Z 31. I would like to install my VK56DE engine into the previously 31 car body and I see you’ve done an excellent job and I would like to know how to proceed with fabricating the engine mount and how well the K56 will fit into the engine and how much transmission clearance there is left in the body for that transmission you’re using thank you very much.   I'm actually using HID bulbs for the headlights. You don't want to use LEDs because they will cause the light scatter to be awful. HID bulbs project the light very similar to traditional incandescent bulbs. I got my HIDs from DDM Tuning ddmtuning.com/index.php

  Do you have any tips on how to proceed if the cam gears are out of time, I'm doing my belt on a 33 rn and no matter how much I spun the crank the only two that would line up was the driver side cam and crank. The passenger just won't line up, always a bit off and my cams are covered in a couple other marking from the previous owner I presume.

  Yeah I absolutely agree. If you have a machinist local to you, you can just have them turn down the 5 sided hubs to a circular hub, basically converting it to a turbo hub. They just need to have a lathe to do it!

  I set the tension with the lifter tray unbolted so no tension on belt as im setting the actual tension on the TENSIONER. this way you dont get it floppy like Spaghetti.
