    Yes, it was just that the lifters were not pumped up yet. It's quiet now.

    Had a similar bad experience with 1A Auto last week. I too am done with online parts. I'll watch their DIY videos all day long

    Thanks for watchin'. I too like their videos. They do them well. That stinks that you had a bad experience with them. I think the online places just don't care that much. If they are like the auto parts stores, they don't pay anything either. I'm pretty lucky, I've got a couple of very good people that I deal with locally.

    you did what a Ford owner would do in that situation just keep cranking it after hearing a concerning noise coming from the engine and it backfiring through the carburetor🤦‍♂️

    Any rubbing on the fuel line when gunning the engine will cause a fuel leak. Check out the line is clear to move without any rubbing while driving.

    you are a joke, did you not see the MSD blaster coil and coil wire on top of the HEI cap with power wires run to the external coil. That means it has been converted to external coil. your not a wiring guru?? your not a car guru, you remind me of a high school shop class teacher those who can't teach. It was a pain to watch you

    Just take the back seat out and you can access the trunk and use a flat screwdriver and there's a slot in the truck lock, stick the screwdriver in the slot and turn the screwdriver and the trunk opens

    That crap trans isn't going to handle no 500hp BBC!! ROFL!! Gonna need a built TH350 or TH400 in that thing. If you wanna stay with manual trans, prepare to drop some bucks for one that will handle that kind of torque. It definitely has potential to be a sweet ride! P.S. Learn to set timing! T = Tonawanda 0716 = July, 16th XCH = XCH is the suffix for the over the counter 454 LS7 crate engine. This engine was purchased over the GM parts counter, it started life as a bad ass piece, handle it with loving care! If nobody has changed any parts out of this engine, you have a 12.25:1 compression engine. You will need to run high octane fuel or set your timing way back. Don't cause detonation, it will destroy your engine. 4 bolt main, heavy duty rods, forged piston, steel crank, req port heads. It's badass. With right fuel and timing, should be an easy 600+hp engine. Enjoy! 💪

    Did you ever add an episode 6 to the 1956 Buick Century? I was dying to see her painted up and looking new..

  • @up-n-runnin377
    @up-n-runnin3772 ай бұрын

    Thanks for watchin'. No Buick episode 6 yet. However, I have been saving footage of me working on the car. It got put on the back burner for a while, but we have been actively working on it in recent weeks, today it got about 4 hours of sanding done on it. That being said, I most likely will not put out another episode until it goes into final sanding or when it goes into the paint booth, which may be a little while yet. (Sanding videos are not that exciting as I'm sure you will understand.) I'll shoot some footage of it and will include it in another episode that will go live sooner. I'm glad you asked about it.

    Who cares! It's a Standard Shift! That's the most important aspect! Yall can take your slush box Automatics to the scrap yard. If the trans isn't a Muncie M22. Make sure to investigate it thoroughly because you'll need a M22 or a newer Tremec 5 or 6 speed to handle that Big Block torque. Good find guys.👍

    Glad you did away with that MSD and chrome coil bs and went back to factory HEI coil ignition. People who rag cars out must have some kind of screw loose. If you have a good-looking wife or girlfriend, you would have all these guys melting like butter in the palm of your hand just like those other "barn find"/"will it run" you tube grease monkeys.

    These second generation camaros are quickly gaining popularity. They are still relatively affordable (especially compared to 1 gens) and they still are very much considered a "muscle car"... or can be when your dropping in a motor like that! If memory serves the bottom bolt at the mechanical fuel pump, is longer and can be switched with the top bolt to hold the pump rod. Then switched back after the pump is installed.
