    Useless. Instead of comparing the different sheets to each other, they are only comparing them to regular liquid laundry detergent, so at the end of the video, you don’t know what makes them different from each other laundry sheet.

    Soapstone wood stove was my best investment. Heats efficiently. Burning fir, i get a 9 hour burn with enough embers to restart with little kindling and 3 inch billets. Heats my 1400 sq ft home easily, in fact caution must be used because at full optimal burn, you will need to open windows.

    The 1st stove is a piece of junk and will not even heat a 350 square foot room! If you recommend it as one of the best, then I wouldn't trust you to recommend any stove to anyone, as it would seem you are being paid and really have no idea what you are talking about.

    We considered one of the stoves on this list, but our home is roughly 2800 sq ft. We called its' manufacturer, and they could not recommend a model for us. Eventually, we bought the Osburn 3500 fireplace insert which delivers up to 110,000 BTU's and it performs better than advertised. If you, the reader, are on the fence about a decision to buy one or not, BUY IT: Purchase any of these recommended stoves and it will begin paying for itself on the first light. Think of it as an investment that pays dividends for the rest of your life. We purchased it because it is insurance against cold weather power outages.

    The wood insert needs electricity to heat the room and house when using the stove surround. That is a problem. a wood stove on a pedistal will be better because it would not need to use the blower to heat the area. We had an Avalon Renier and had to use the fan to get the heat out of the stove. It is advertising wood stoves without stating the EPA particulate emissions. That is required to sell a stove. My Avalon Renier was 2.4 g/ hour particulates out the chimney. There was no mention of Lopi, Jotul, Blaze king, Vermont Castings all of which pass the EPA regulations for modern efficient wood stoves. and if a house needs an add on Furnace, The PSG Caddy fits the bill and is EPA certified. what does that EPA certified mean? 1/3 less wood to cut.

  • @hauckjohn
    @hauckjohn7 ай бұрын

    Some inserts, like ours, produce convection heat and vent to the inside of the room, whether the blower is going or not.

  • @gibblespascack1418
    @gibblespascack14187 ай бұрын

    But they do not transfer heat well enough if the power is out. The surround prevents a lot of heat coming from the outer shell of the insert. Mine is a Avalon Renier and you are not getting 50K btu out of it without the fan running on low speed, when using it as an insert. I ended up removing the surround because it was blocking too much heat. If you have no fan, a hearth mount stove is a better option when there is no power. @@hauckjohn

    @@gibblespascack1418 hearth mount? Can you tell me more?

  • @gibblespascack1418

    The hearth is a fireplace. A hearth mount stove is a freestanding wood stove in a fireplace. It's not like an insert like at 0:31 into the video. These are good but need to move air though the shell (fan forced air) of the wood stove in order to get heat into the room. That black thing around the insert at 0:31 is the stove surround which blocks off the area around the stove and prevents heat from the exterior of the insert shell from being added to the room. So, you are losing heat that is being produced at the surface of the exterior shell of a wood insert. In a hearth mount stove, you are using a stove like the US Stove at minute 1:00 and it is placed into the stove on its legs and the front legs are held up by the front part of your fireplace. So it appears to be a stand-alone stove sitting in your fireplace and free flowing air moves the heat from the stove into your room. The chimney is a stainless-steel liner which will run from the top of the stove, through the fireplace chimney up to the top of the chimney and is sealed to the top of the clay tiles, so that there is no airflow outside of the stainless-steel liner and inside of the chimney. That way heated room air does not go up your chimney. No electricty is needed to make this system work efficiently. Other stoves that fit this application are ones like Jotul 602. But the type of stove that you need depends on what you are trying to achieve. I had a Renier avalon wood insert but did not use the surround plate. I did use the fan to help move air through the shell of the unit and it worked well for me. We live in southern NY state, so the heating requirements were not that bad, and this design was sufficient to keep our living room warm if the power was out. If we lived in Northern NY, we would have been better with a hearth mount design for better air flow or a free-standing wood stove with air on all sides being freely available to the room. Oh yes, we also had a generator, so we could run the fan in our insert if it was needed while keeping our fridge and freezer cold in our ranch house. Check out "Woodheat.org" for proper design of a wood stove installation. @@AidenBraydenPodcast

    This video is a clear illustration of the dismal weakness of "A-I"...(artificial intelligence). First, the clumsy descriptions are repetitious, not really COMPARING the products. What's the point? It was tedious, and useless. And the A-I voice mispronounces words....because it is STUPID. And as another commenter noted, one of these fans is more energy efficient...duhhhh, they get their energy from the stove so energy efficient is a stupid description. I'm sick of the infatuation with A-I.
