Great review. Did you find that there was any more big toe to vs ver 2? The 2s grind the outside of my big toe. I love the light color for warm sun.
just bought them because they were 100€ off :D
Nowhere close to a 1080v13 in terms of softness
I have the Invincible 3 and I love it for running with plantar fasciitis
I will be curious when or if you review the newer Norda brand, particularly the Norda 002. I enjoy the Asics trail shoes and appreciate the grip and long-lasting reliability.
Emerged from watching with a new sense of faith in the human spirit and a bigger fan of Pearl Jam.
Did a 50 K miced surface ultra with this shoe. Third time same race. Beat my time with 64 minutes. Leg saving, and economical and fast midsole. Best road shoe of all trail shoes I have used.
@thegingerrunner have u tried the Caldera 7??
The slow-mo demos make the video. Like zoolander with more swag. Def a compliment
Considering these for shooting comps. Lot of fast movement on hard dirt surface,
These or the more trail v3?
Why not a flag or something rather book pages?
That's one amazing wife! Not possible without her support.
I love the camaraderie between the runners!
Just picked these up for $120 US I’d like to say absolute steal 😆 can’t wait to try them out!
I tried Skratch for the first time on a long run. I REALLY had to add in small amounts so it mixed well. I overdid it on dumping in the mix and it clogged my straw lol
I know this is a super late comment but how would you compare the width on these to your recently reviewed Trabuco Max 3? Thanks!
Watch this vid, bought’em, ran in’em, loved’em!!! Literally pulled them out of the box, took them on one 5 mile test run, and them I ran the Silver State 50 miler in them. They did not disappoint, no blisters and happy feet, worth the money!!!
I just bought some for $80 and im debating taking them back. I actually bought it because the price but they really don't fit very well. I normally wear a 9.5, i tried these in a 9.5, 10 and 10.5. 10 felt too tight and 10.5 feels too big, I want to like them but I just don't know. I purchased for hiking into the Grand Canyon in October just not sure if it is the right choice.
Would 30km be enough to make the shoe not the stiffest shoe of all times?? Seriously… only real downside is that it’s stiffer than VF and AF, like WT…f.
Do you ever use it without a shirt or singlet? If so, how was the chafing if any?
these are $90 at Ross' right now
Ultrafly or Summit Pro?
I have 100k on my Trabuco Max 3 and it's the best trail shoe I ever had. Blows any Hoka out of the water. Chiefly because of the midsole and the outsole, lots of bounce and comfort.
Wide toe box and not good on the rocks.
After one year of just walking, the liner of my Clifton 7 started to rip. After two years the soil also shows a significant wear.
I don't see the "the shoe is just going to slip out from under you" in my experience with graphine outsoles. To me you are describing all Altra shoes I'eve ever tried but Inov8 have fantastic grip for me.
I'm a just finish Ironman, previously ran in the Hoka Rocket X2. I was surprised with just how different these are. The cielo I found both wider and higher for the same length (size 8). It's a lot easier to get on due to that, and the gusset/tongue isn't as 'sticky' as the Rocket. Running in it, it has a lot more stability than the Rocket. It's heavier, but you don't notice that, I think the extra energy return compensates for the extra weight. I'll be using this at Barcelona, where some of the surface isn't flat tarmac, but I think on a pure road marathon I might choose the Rocker.
You know imo almost all the shoes nowadays are good ,and some a little better, but this is ridiculous comparing all these shoes it's so close with 20 I can name right now ,and hoka has 3 or 4 by their own,but hey I appreciate the finer details you put in the reviews,so evryone knows
Stack is 34/28mm (which doesn't seem to be mentioned in the video) - are we really living in a time when that's considered "low slung"?!?
How can i stop having blister from this shoes.its rubbing back of my foot
Are you going to do Daily Brews again? Miss those!!
I ran the 16hr 80km (50 mile) UTMB x-traversee on these. With the rough alpine terrain, I preferred its lower stack and simple form. To me it's been good for long distance. It does wear a bit quicker than others.
Could you use this as a daily trainer?
That’s its intended use according to most reviews and my use-case plan for it. It feels comfortable at all paces so far.
Love it count me in
One day i will join this, one day
Is it good for just road running or can I also use this for trail?
oh, looks like you may have to change your name to TheSilverRunner :D Just kidding.
theres never not not nuttin
It’s an awesome shoe for most runners, the durability is trash. I’m a light/neutral 150 lb runner and 50 miles it was wearing down on the medial size completely and the shoe was becoming off balanced. The price is way too much for what short lifespan it has.
The Newfoundland plate 🥰😍
Exceptionally well-made video.
Best shoe ever had. Use for training and used for Ironman. Light, strong, cushioned, fast!
1. I didn't think I could love Pearl Jam any more than I already do but those videos...wow. 2. If he had heat stroke, he would be in a serious medical emergency. Perhaps he was going towards heat exhaustion but it is a misrepresentation of the severity of heat stroke to describe Brian's condition at Forest Hill.
I’d Love to see a bushisdo review!
I smiled every time he took a swig of that rice milk. 🥛
This is nuts. Yet so inspiring.
what is the sizing like?
