Hey nice video! Couple questions tho, would it be better to clean off built up oil on the valve cover after you take off ignition coil bracket? Also can you do this job without using trans assembly, what if you have nothing, just the gasket, would that be ok?

You are right! What a mess. I had to rebuild my 350 and after having some trouble trying to get the engine to turn, I decided to find a demonstration about re-installing the rod caps. Thanks for the information. I bought my truck for a guy and 18 mons. earlier if was bought from a car dealer. Best guess the character at the car dealer rebuilt the engine. trying to make a buck, right? probably didn't match up everything as he should have done. He was in a hurry!

How much more lift can I get by running the Comp cams 26918 springs and Comp cams 787-16 retainers? I have stock Vortec heads with a Comp Cams CL-262-4 Cam with 0.464/0.470 lift. What clearance can I get with out needing to machine the valve seats?

If the connector cant squeeze in to remove the old fuel filter.. grab a small hacksaw and cut the fuel filter off at the nipple/connector.. now with the fuel filter out of the way, those little tools will fit around the nipple and easily pop it out!! 👍💯

you did not do your homework on the Equinox. 1. you can cancel the auto stop start problem by putting the gear shift in low and use the plus on top of the shifter to go through the six gears & leave it at 6th gear you can see the gear changes on the dashboard. you need to do this every time you start the car, put in low and use the plus on top of the knob take it up to 6th gear. THE CAR WILL SHIFT NORMALLY ONCE YOU SEE THE NUMBER 6 2. You need to use the info. screen to add more displays. I found it and added battery volts, coolant temp & oil pressure. City driving with pot holes it can be a little rough. She handles really well on the highways. My Equinox is a little over four years old now. mileage is 71,000. My service guys at the dealership say I take really good care of the Equinox. I have heated seats, wish I would have ordered the heated steering wheel. Living in the northeast can be pretty cold

8:50- The washer that goes over that tensioner pulley mounting bolt is not flat. Wish you'd of covered that in a bit more detail. My guess is that the indented side of that washer should be installed with the indented side AWAY from the bolt head. Do you agree? Thank you.

Curious, what happens if you put a magnet on the sensor and don’t take it off all summer? Then when it gets cold out, remover the magnet and the heat works fine. Thoughts?

Fixed my issue. Just replaced AC compressor and other accesories, afyer vacuum and recharge i noticed the compressor made a grinding noise when i turned AC off. Added a shim and got it to spec, now quiet as a mouse. The installation instructions didnt say anything about shimming and the shims the compressor came with were the wrong size. Used a shim from the old one. Thanks a lot 🙏

Thanks for the video. The Kawasaki FH601v on my Scag Tiger Cub started surging the last time I used it. I replaced the fuel filter and filling the hose from the pump to the carb with carb cleaner and ran that through the engine which didn't fix the issue (it's never that easy). I took my carb off and cleaned it after watching your vidwo as mine looked the same as yours on the outside and turned out to be the same on the inside as well. Only difference I noticed was it looks like your needle is metal whereas mine is plastic with a rubber tip. It was very helpful to see what to expect before tearing into it. I was able to reuse everything and I think the issue was something in one of the tiny holes on the carb as it initially had some resistance when trying to run a tiny piece of wire through it. I ran the wire through all holes followed by carb cleaner, put it back together, and it is running smoothly now. I think I could have ordered the same kit you did, if needed, based on what I saw in your video, or my nearby Scag dealer said the various o-rings were available individually just not as a kit (at least not for my exact engine). I before pulling the carb, I also tried starting the engine with the hose from the fuel pump to the carb off to verify the pump was working. I was surprised to see some debris in the fuel from the pump. I let the pump run a little to clear off of that out (this was after I replaced the fuel filter). I cut open the old filter since I couldn't see inside of it well, and found the side of the element going to the carb loose. I may have broke it loose cutting it apart but seeing the debris that that came out of the pump makes me think it was loose inside and maybe what cause my issue to start with by letting something get inside of the carb. Anyway, thanks again for the video.

Please don't fault me for this, but I kinda like seeing you struggle, fail, adjust your approach, try again, and eventually succeed. It's very similar to just about all my DIY projects, and I find it strangely encouraging, super informative, and even entertaining. I don't even care about the length of the video. You can always watch it in segments or repeat. Yeah, good stuff! Thanks!
