    Thank you soooo much for this video. We had a power surge this morning and the entire panel was lit up. I had no idea how I was going to fix it. I thought I was going to have to buy a new dryer. You just saved me a ton of aggravation. Your instructions worked. You are the best.

    Did this help you not burn any oil? I burn basically a quart of oil in between 800-900 miles

  • @Stimwalt
    @Stimwalt27 күн бұрын

    Yes - it also gives the engine more power, because it is more efficient without oil sludge.

    @@Stimwalt I might switch to ow-20 because it improves mpg & it’s basically the same as 5w-20 and causes no different, just thinner which helps clean better

    Despite what people think and say the transmission won’t self destruct using something other than Honda OEM ATF. Numerous Hondas over 200k and they ran on Amsoil ATF after first drain and fill. Never a single issue.

  • @Stimwalt
    @StimwaltАй бұрын

    That's correct. Most folks don't realize that when they take their vehicle to a Jiffy Lube or quick stop garage, they aren't using Honda OEM either. I do recommend you use OEM if you aren't comfortable using a more robust and enhnaced ATF fluid like Triax/Amsoil.

    Dude...I'm having problems. Passenger side rear brakes. Replaced rotors & brake pads AND caliper. The old caliper was seizing and sticking causing smoke! I've ripped everything apart 3x and when I drive it still scrapes on that one side!!! The rotor wobbled a little then I sanded hub down more, and that seem to fix it. Like...what the hell! Any ideas or suggestions?

    I do like the ridged vent hose, however when there is a stackable washer dryer unit in a tight closet or between cabinets the ridged loses appeal.

    Sorry why would you flush with an old filter ? Don't see the logic

  • @Stimwalt
    @Stimwalt2 ай бұрын

    You flush with your old filter so that you don't get your new filter dirty. Add the new filter with the new oil AFTER the engine flush is complete.

    I'm having trouble jacking the rear high enough to place the jacks. I got a 3T floor jack that has a maximum height of 18" and I'm using the same jack point as shown here (tow hook). The Daytona jack stands I bought must be too tall, because I don't have enough clearance to place them under the car.

    Jim this video is the best. Appreciate your help. I too had power outage last night and dryer wouldn't work. Called GE and their recommendation was to hold power button for 5 seconds to reset did nothing. I followed your steps voila......dryer is working. I expect better from GE. Forget owner manuals I actually spoke to their technical service support and they made no mention of your steps, instead scheduling a future paid service call telling me my computer panel probably needs a fuse or replaced entirely. Thanks GE for worthless advice and fee hungry service model service and parts.
