He held his nerves better than Rory McIlroy. Whose putts on the last 2 holes cost him
Agreed, after Rory sunk the lengthy putt just before those 2. Thought he had it, with the 1 shot lead with 2 to play
Yea I can see the flag super far to the right of where he hit it sooooooo I call bs
Look carefully, the flag is red. What you pointing out is not a flag. This was watched live
@@SXBrosGolf ahhh i see my mistake hell of a shot brother
@randylahey4475 it is all good..... and to think it was needed for him to make the cut at the end of the round
That is skill on another level 😳😳😳
Right..... it is insane
Yes click not ckick........no comment 🤦♂️🤦♂️
It's amazing to see the number one golfer in the world right now give God the glory and acknowledge Jesus! Praise Jesus, what a video!
Could not agree any more with this comment. Exactly what it is all about. Using the platform God has given you to proclaim Jesus and glorify God's name. Thank you for your kind words about the video as well
Wow......amen He is definitely a great role model....
Could not agree more...
Ernie just gets better as the years go by....
Agreed.....he is such a great player.... a genuine GOAT of golf
What a LEGEND of the game.... still going strong and what a swing
Most definitely, what a player. Ernie has always been one of my favorite players
Lekker man!
Hey Thomas, hope you well and good to hear from you again. Thanks man
Please keep a look out we have a big announcement coming soon 😎😎😎
What a putt to save par!
Hi Jordan, thanks man. Appreciate it. Hopefully the start of the handicap dropping
Nice putt to save par
Thank you appreciate it
The one major that eluded Ernie Els
And he so deserved to win at least 1 Masters
He was such a great player
Oh yes....one of the best ever
Thank you for sharing this
You welcome
Sam Snead is No.1 GOAT Wins Jack is 2nd GOAT. Majors Seve 3rd GOAT. World Tour Wins Byron 4th. GOAT Most Consecutive & Year Wins Gibson 5th GOAT World Record 55
Meow
Agreed...... Where would you place Tiger Woods? Also how about Gary Player and Bobby Locke
This show is the reason I took up golf. Watched it every week.
That is awesome
I remember when I was a kid in the early 00s, Golf Channel would play episodes at like 6:30 in the morning. I would wake up for school earlier so that I could chill and watch this while swinging my little toy plastic clubs hahah
Those are the memories to cherish forever. Once golf is in the blood, one is hooked for life...
Why is there so many white people in this video?????
Ben Hogan, VJ Singh, Colin Montgomery, Fred Couples, Payne Stewart, Sam Snead
Some more great players you just mentioned there
Those greens look super slow. Times have changed my friends.
100 % correct. Those greens look like normal club greens. Now days tournament greens are so quick it is not even funny
Those traps!! And those GREENS!!
Yup vary different to now a days
Remarkable picture quality for 1963. I've seen World Series footage from 1978 which were much poorer quality.
Agreed......I was pleasantly surprised
Jesus, this is 61 years old, the film quality is excellent.
Right, I thought so as well.
And the guys today complain about the bunker sand???
Exactly, players today love to complain
That green appears very, very small.
It does appear small
The both amazing players and strikers of the golf ball
Absolutely and Ernie is not known as 'The Big Easy' for nothing
Nothing manicured about the bunker.
They just got on with it back then.
Amazing how scruffy PB was vs how manicured it is now
Tell me about it
Looked better back then - nowdays there's a sameness about the courses. Back then you had some rougher courses that were still high class and some manicured ones like Augusta - now they're all the same.
Some food for thought.....
Think this match was played early in '63, prior to the Masters.
I think so, not 100% sure
Good effort for par from off the green
Thank you
Hard for us to compain about course conditions after watching this;)!
That is for sure
Why? Course is in fantastic shape?
Actually you right it is great club conditions
Pure golf. Talent unsurpassed by modern players. Imagine these guys with the equipment of today.
100% exactly my thoughts as well. Not sure if many current pros would manage the numbers they do with the equipment these guys used in their time.
@@SXBrosGolf they were pure strikers. Had to be with those blades. Also talk about the tech advantages of a. proV1 over those soft balata balls. It’s astounding they could score as well as they did.
@jamesnichols7693 agreed.... they were no doubt amazing. Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Bobby Locke, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Pryer Just to name a few
I'd rather the guys today play with the old equipment - constant tech advance has made pro golf boring.
@poocrayon4588 It would be interesting to see a tournament where only old equipment is allowed.
Snead was the greatest iron player there ever was, but he was mediocre with the putter. Nicklaus was probably the best putter of all of the big name golfers. It gave him a huge advantage.
Nicklaus was a great putter but Bobby Locke was probably the best that ever lived....... I remember Gary Player saying that Bobby Locke was the best putter
I wonder why no one tried to mimic his peculiar stroke.
Correct. Was an interesting stroke
@@Kaddywompous hurts your back
Agreed
Jack must have doubled-crossed that tee-shot.
Most likely 😁😁😁
1663? It’s almost as old as St. Andrews.
Thank you for spotting that typo
Sam knocks it to 4 feet and makes the birdie. Jack gets up and down from the trap for par. They were both amazing.
They were most definitely....... both legends of the game.
These 2 were amazing players and did so much for the sport. What they accomplished with the technology they had is amazing.
Absolutely spot on
Omg ..really? Lolo....
Best swing in world golf
Could very well be
Bobby Locke - Drive for show and Putt for dough
South African legend
Absolute legends Snead Hogan Nelson Locke Palmer Nicklaus
Nicely done
Great golf swing
Absolutely
The sound of that driver 👌👌👌
Amazing swing and ball striker. Can watch Nelly swing a golf club all day
1. J. Nicklaus 2. S. Snead 3. B. Hogan 4. B. Nelson
Nice
WOW
He played a great shot
Byron Nelson.........
😁😁😁😁😎😎😎
4 of the greats, absolute GOATS 🐐 of the game.
Absolutlely
There's no doubt that swing is Ben Hogan.
Good effort but unfortunately not......
He was a great player.....some nice records behind his name
Yes he does 😁😁😁 one that is 79 years old
I also think she will be the first lady to make it 6 wins from 6 starts
Not world number 1 for nothing. Amazing player
Go home as Happy Gilmore would say
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Amazing.......nailed it
Oh yes.....
