Hi, thanks for the video! I think the most difficult part is to be able to take a photo that focuses in general to give all of the details without any blurring. I would have loved to get more details about this, the settings you use, the camera requirements we would need to give the same results you maintain. If there is any minimum megapixel requirements? What kind of lenses would be the best and if there is any 'more' affordable equipment we can use for the lighting and etc.
lol kind of dumb design having the light stands just dangling
LTA Projects inflatable light towers has a much easier setup and is better for outside production.
Watching few minutes of the video I learned some great tips for taking photos. Awesome work!!
Great video - very informative and practical. Thanks.🙂
We're so glad you enjoyed this workshop! We will be releasing some more workshops very soon on our channel 📸
@@essentialphotovideo Great, I will look out for them! Best wishes from The Highlands!
Hello Barry, I'm new to your channel. Thank you for this video and your content! Do you have any recommendations for updated versions of the gear you use here?
Hi there! Barry's personal channel can be found here: www.youtube.com/@BarryMountford/videos As for the kit used, the CITI600 Manual is still available here www.essentialphoto.co.uk/products/pixapro-citi600-manual-battery-flash/ Or an upgraded option would be the AD600 Pro www.essentialphoto.co.uk/products/witstro-ad600pro-all-in-one-battery-powered-ttl-outdoor-flash A good alternative to the LED100D would be the Godox SL100Bi here - www.essentialphoto.co.uk/products/sl100bi-compact-100w-daylight-balanced-led-studio-light
Excellent explanation abd step by step walkthrough
Emma and Graham did a fantastic job 😍
Thanks so much for having us Pixapro/Essential Photo!
Such a pleasure to have you with us at the show!
Inspirational !
Thank you
It works well thank you. I have the Xpr2 on Nikon z72 and want to fire it remotely. Be cool if the app could do that. How can I do it please? What do I need to purchase?
Hi there, unfortunately the Godox flash app doesn't support remote firing, only remote control for settings. Sorry about that!
Hi can anyone tell me why my LED light inside the tent turned off while I was using it???😮
Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your LED tent! If you haven't already, we'd advise getting in touch with our team at [email protected] and they'll be able to look into this for you.
Really enjoyed that. Thorough and easy to understand. Thank you Tommy.
We're so glad you enjoyed Tommy's workshop! Thanks for watching 🙌
So, if you're shooting at a shutter speed that doesn't allow the curtain to fully open and that in turn causes your flash to fire multiple bursts to compensate, the flash won't be able to give you the power output you need to properly expose the image as opposed to when it just fires once at a slower shutter speed. Is that correct?
Great video - only thing I didn't catch is whether the control box has fans in it? The Aputure F22x for example does have a fan which is known to be slightly louder than people wish. I have the older Godox light mats which are fanless and silent, but lack new control options like DMX.
Superb work Tommy. I loved the presentations from everyone on the team and could have camped out there for the entire show 🙂 Thank you!
We're so glad to hear you loved our live workshops! We work really closely with our amazing partner photographers to ensure our live workshops are fun, interesting and importantly- informative, and we really couldn't do it without them and their expertise! We're very grateful that we're able to work with them at the show.
Great work from Tommy and the team. Well done everyone 👍
❤🙌 Thank you Gavin!
Is it ok to use it as a ring light ?
Hi there, this can be used close up for social media imagery, however if you're looking for a ringlight specifically, we'd advise browsing our Ringlight section here - www.essentialphoto.co.uk/collections/led-ringlights-and-striplights

Useful information
What's the rough distance between you and the back wall at 5:00 ? 2 meters maybe? I'm trying to get a feel for how strong the light is at 100% power
Hi - good question, I will make sure I mention things like this next time. Yes, good guess, it is about 5m. I have used these on wedding dancefloors with maybe 7-8m away from the couple dancing, and still only ever hit around 60% brightness - but I like that bit of headroom just in case 🙂
@@NickChurchPhotography Thank you, these seem like powerful lights for their size
That is absolutely the wrong way to clean reflectors!
No v860iv?
Hi there, unfortunately we haven't received any info from Godox regarding a new upcoming V Series speedlite V860IV model ☹
Cool little light. If you work it close to subject you’ll get softer shadows on one axis depending on how you angle it. Wish it were a little longer.
Hope this means the videos for the individual talks aren’t too far off being released.
We're working as hard as we can to get these ready! 🙌
Muy buen tutorial! Estoy pensando en comprarme ua luz y con lo que ustedes mostraron me convencieron algo para comprar ésta! graciasss
How does the TTL work? Meaning when I go to purchase this flash on Amazon, there is no selection for camera brand? I have the Nikon Z system. Do I need to specify Nikon?
Hi Dave, it looks like the Lux Master comes with a bracket to attach it to the bottom of your flash rather than attaching via hotshoe to the top of the camera. So to use the TTL function you'd need a TTL Compatible trigger or trigger cable to pair with it 😊
@@essentialphotovideo So it is dependent on the trigger for the proper TTL connection. That's really smart thinking!
Hello. Could you kindly point me towards the deeper bowens adapter for this snoot like you use on the video? Despite the comments stating it’ll fit ad600 it unfortunately doesn’t. Thank you !
This is my first time using trigger, why when I turn on my Godox x3, the screen/lens immediately turns bright as if you were using ISO 6400, is that normal? I just want the screen, exposure, speed as normal and to be able to judge how much light I will give to the photo object
We are not sure. Would it be possible to send a short phone clip to us at [email protected] showing the issue, we will then pass it on to the engineers at Godox to see what might be causing it. From there, we will let you know how to resolve the issue.
Old Is coming up
GOOD TUTORIAL~
Is there any difference to this and the Godox v860iii ?
Hi there! There are some differences between the two - we have a handy blog here that runs through the main differences www.essentialphoto.co.uk/blogs/news/comparing-the-pixapro-li-ion580ii-ttl-speedlite-with-the-li-ion580iii-ttl
@@essentialphotovideo yes thank you that was helpful, but I’m wondering why pixapro is advertising as godox? On your website the Godox brand is slightly more expensive but are you saying the Li-ion580iii is the same as the godox ? So why the price difference… thanks
I can’t figure out how to pair your new app with your new X3 trigger.
hi. Unforunately, the X3 doesn't have bluetooth, so it cnnot be paired with the flash app. Sorry about that
Hello. Why the app wants me to login with my phone number? BT connection should work without the number. In these modern days it's always a security risk to give phone number or other information. Please, keep it simple. Thanks.
Hey. It allows you to use email instead. It’s what I used since they already have it.

What camera and lighting equipment do you use?
In this video, Marius used CITI600 TTL strobes which can be found here - www.essentialphoto.co.uk/products/citi600-ttl-flash-strobe-lighting-unit-with-ac-adapter?_pos=18&_sid=2c71452ca&_ss=r
When is the Olympus version going to be in stock?

an a6800 for 4000$
Is it fully compatible whit Nikon?
Hi there! Yes, the MF12 System should be fully compatible with Nikon cameras.
Be good to see some detailed specs regarding its brightness in this promo, no details online either, when are the specs dropping?
B&H has most specs posted. Don’t see anything on beam angle though. Looks pretty good if you ask me, I’m between this, Aputure Nova 300 and the Chauvet onAir panel.
Hi. the Photometric data is already on the website. You just need to scroll down to beneath the description to see the full-table. Hope that helps
@essentialphotovideo Grand, I can see it's now there, many thanks.
Hi grids look good and add control. I like the new hinge style FlatPaks. Minor point, mass of box/light should be ideally under the long leg of a C-stand (as demoed by PixaPro colleague in another vid) however with a small box and AD300 that isn't boomed, it won't likely present any serious 'topple' risk albeit it's not as stable as it could be.
Much prefer faster assembly 'easy open' types. However there is, as I'm sure you're aware, a new PixaPro FlatPak style which allows you to keep part assembled (much like easy open) but has a hinge mechanism that folds the interface ring flat relative to walls or box. Net result is smaller packing, even faster opening and tear down, albeit at still greater cost. But IMO probably worth it if you want to travel. You have probably also done a review on that too or are planning to do so in future. Only comes on octa styles 70 cm and 100cm plus a rectangular 30x90cm. Neat. I bought a 70 but will likely buy others too.
HI some good advice. But, at circa 10:30, I note you adjust the height upwards via the lower clamp. Whilst OK at heights you are working at, it's a better practice to adjust the upper clamp first. Why? Because if needing to go still higher then you can still reach the lower clamp. If you raise the lower clamp to it's max height then reaching the upper clamp is difficult (may need a ladder), typically requiring lowering before adjustment to first the upper clamp the raising the head again st the lower clamp. It's also good to not fully extend each section as with a little tube overlap there is greater stability - a tip I learnt also applies to boom poles too. Finally, where possible, it can be helpful to superclamp a heavy power pack or ballest to the column base (eg as with clamp Apurture use for their ballasts).
Thank you this is great, how do I do this with the bottom of a shoe?
This can be done the same way as in this tutorial, it would just be a case of how you'd like to set up the shoe 🙂
Great video man, keep up the good work! I know you will go far in photography!!!
Like the look of these, think they may be my next purchase.
If you're at the Photography Show this weekend we will have some offers on!
Hi, very informative video. What size slider rails fit with the slide bot please?
No one talk about the bad AWB make, what about flash? Other brand except for Sony flash, not working good with flash, TTL is not send the correct signal, and the color are not correct! Why no one talk about this? I have to compensate +2+3 to have the correct exposure in TTL. I came from nikon all my life, now I have Sony and this is my only complaint at the moment.
Shame they sell them in sets. I would like to have the D3 only ...
Very excited to try it 👏🏻👏🏻
Looks great that. Best video out there showing not only the product, but how and what you can achieve with it. Thanks.
