As a kid, F1 was a family event. We watched every single race. Skipped none. We would scheduler around it. Watched this race live. It was the last race we ever saw together. Only last year did I watch another F1 race, but only with my brother and we didn’t even pay full attention to it. F1 died with Senna and with the bullshit FIA decisions. I think I know why Senna crashed. Michael Schumacher had been stressing Ayrton out since Michael joined F1 and since he was catching up to Ayrton maybe he was thinking about Michael so much that he stopped concentrating on the race and forgot about it. It might be unlikely tho since Ayrton was a very focused driver.
