  I got this car with the 1.0 tgdi 100hp. I absolutely love it so far. Only Thing i absolutely HATE is to turn off start/stop, speedlimit warning and lane assist every time i start it and switching to sport mode. Cant make these settings permanent is annoying but so are the laws which caused this. Car drivers seem to be little children that need restrictions all the time

  First, The styling the 2026 GTI EV is 100% perfection! Now for the bad, GTI's / Golf R's are bought by true enthusiast on a budget. Making the GTI an EV will not go over well for so many reasons. To make this EV the slightest bit tempting to enthusiast would mean a $60,000 price tag,.....Much like the IONIQ 5 N. But even with that said everything about the IONIQ N is fake, no matter how hard you try to fix that problem you'll never be able to trick the mind and the driver connection with the car. So with that said an enthusiast will NOT buy this car! As a LONG TIME Volkswagen and Audi owner, and I see this company digging a hole for it's self over the last few years. And from what I see coming down the pipe line it looks more like a death sentence in the long term future for the US market, especially for VW! Volkswagen once was the big bang for the buck German fun car, the car manufacture people went to to be different, and get a true driving experience for not a ton of money, and to get great styling at the same time. Back in the day If you were a VW owner you were viewed as the cool fun guy with some smarts about you, and probably a person you'd want to know. Today VW looks like nothing more than rental fleet, the owner image would be that of a BORING PERSON, the person that buys a car to get to point A without spending to much money on gas. The kind of person that's not really happy in life. A person that doesn't put much thought past what frozen pizza they are going to eat that night. Someone that couldn't have much connection with a human being much less a car,....And that's just touching on style! Whats under the hood is totally emotion less! What once was a #1 car manufacturer for soooo many enthusiast has very quickly become mundane and forgettable! This is also becoming the Audi brand as well, that is unless you have super deep pockets, - say $70,000 to well over $100,000 to burn. I currently own a 2015 Audi SQ5, a 2013 Audi Allroad, and a VW -GTI, sadly I'm getting the feeling as these cars get phased out in my garage I will be forced to give up completely on this company, and I know I speak for so many people here! As "They" say, you never know what you had until it's gone!
