I'm all about V8 conversions and engine swaps. First choice is the 1uz-fe Toyota V8 or Lexus V8 if you prefer that. I also do 3uz-fe swaps. Lots of wiring including Immobilizer bypass. Next choice is the LS1 Chev V8 , or its big brothers the LS2 or LS3. As I do lots of wiring I also do a fair bit with aftermarket ECU and wiring including the odd V8 Sprintboat.

Do you know if there’s a fix for the gear stick when the polyethylene or whatever disintegrates and the top part of the shifter no longer is connected with the part which connects to the gearbox. I’m talking about the section the gear knob screws to?

im doing a manual swap on a 2UZ non vvti, are you saying dont wire it to park to start, and not to drive to run? but to do neutral? it looks like the cruise control circuit needs a drive signal from the ECU tho

Not just Toyota all cars from the 80's and 90's are suffering from leaking out of spec caps.
Should the cam gears be double dot to double dot on the right and single dot to single dot on the left at TDC or can they be aligned correspondingly then the cam gear get rotated into TDC to have proper timing?
Do Ls400 racks work on the Celsior? Needing to buy a rack for my Celsior soon but obviously hard to find in the US, but it isn't clear that an Ls400 rack will work.

Hey, My cams themselves came out for a cam seal change and when it was put back together the dots were lined up on the sisscor gears then the pulleys were spun to align with the marks and it was all put back together and now it runs extremely rough. Am i missing something or what did i do wrong?
i was wondering if just replaced the belt too and car drives fine and boom once a while check engine light is think i found my problem thanks i have to double check that

So question. Got a early 1uz out of an Ls400. I’ve got both code 14 and 15 but the girl runs? It’s got a slight mis but worsens as temp rises. Seems like it’s going into fuel cut, but suddenly reverses out of it?

I have a 2jzgte from a 96' Aristo swapped into a SC300, the IAC never worked since the engine swap. I had the original Aristo ECU rebuilt so it has new OEM caps. The idle still does not speed up on cold start, does it have to go through a few cycles to start working?
Are you able to advance timing? If soo by how many degrees? Is every tune essentially the same or do they get custom tuned? Just a couple of questions before I send mine out! Also if not worried about reliability && having supporting mods, are you able to generate a kill map? (Turning up the car as aggressive as possible) if you could answer my questions before sending out my ecu, I would highly appreciate it, thank you!

My Lexus dealer changed the fluid by accident with type 4 and I have driven about 20.000 km with it. Car shifted perfectly before the change. They fixed it by flushing it again but the transmission allready started to have its problems in the meantime wile the car only had around 120.000 km. Then they have flushed it again just to make sure and I wanted them to change the filter as well and this last flush I didn't want any conditioner or other stuff because I thought that could be the problem but still no solution.

will 15100-0F010 work on my early 1uz non vvti? worried about timing issues. 15100-0F010 is from a 2UZ VVT-I from what i can tell. tensioner assemblys appear to be the same part number for both engines. 13505-50022. idler is also the same part number. (the pump that came off the motor looks like the one @ 7:31 and the one i bought new looks like @ 7:40)
