    Thanks a lot for the nice video. I am also thinking about buying Versys 1000. How is it in 1st gear in the tight corners uphill? Does it have enough power? Did you have to slip the clutch? How easy ia it to turn, does it feel heavy?

  • @joeri999
    @joeri9997 ай бұрын

    It has more than enough power for anything you throw at it. I'm not the best hairpin rider by any means, but didn't miss power at all. It feels heavy when parking with the bike in hand, but when riding it feels nimble and light. Best you just do a test ride at a local dealer! If you like a touring bike with a 4 cylinder, I feel you can't go wrong with the Versys 1000.

    @@joeri999 Thank you very much for fast response. I have actually done a half day testride and liked the bike very much. We just do not have steep mountains and hairpin corners here to test. I am used to heavy bikes, had FJR1300 before and currently riding Yamaha Super Tenere. I miss 4 sylinder engine sound and for me Versys is on the top.

    Servus und schöne Grüße aus Stuttgart, ich würde dir dringend empfehlen viel mehr mim QuickShifter zu arbeiten. 1. Gang durch die Spitzkehren sehe ich etwas kritisch. Denke das man da auch gut mit dem 2.ten durch kommt und du somit die Kupplung gut schonen kannst. Vor allem du hast die SE, da ist sicherlich der QuickShifter dabei. Kleiner Ratschlag aus Stuttgart. Sonst sehr schönes Video und absolut tolles Bike!

    Hey, thanks :-). Yes, it's the chest mount. With the chin mount, I also never got a good angle, if you want to show a bit of the Vespa as well. With the chest mount, I film in 4:3 (thus getting the most screen estate) and cut it to 16:9, so that I can decide afterwards how to get the best composition. Hope this helps.

    Werkelijk prachtige omgeving om te zien, maar de Stelvio an sich vind ik zwaar overschat. Beetje met 15 km/u in z'n 1 met slippende koppeling door die vele haarspeldbochten. De afdaling erna en de andere passen in die omgeving vind ik persoonlijk veel uitdagender. Heb 'm in 2016 gereden met mijn KTM 1290 Super Adventure.

  • @joeri999

    Oh, in fact not that much, just some minor things. Let's see: - Added front luggage rack for carrying a backpack - Added GoPro mount to the front fork for nicer b-roll shots - Added a 5 liter fuel can, fixed it to the rear luggage rack using clamping straps - Added some wood to the back rack (strapped to it with tie wraps) to prevent the fuel can from moving forward, which would mess with the seat movement - Added the spring holder to the rear luggage rack - it wasn't on my Ciao originally, but it's extremely handy to help keep the fuel can in place - Added a RAM X-Grip to the handle bars for navigating using my phone - Filled up the tool box with everything (hopefully...) to fix any breakdowns: extra spark plug, rear light, basic tools, nuts for the clutch housing and rear pulley, tie wraps (always handy!) and of course an adapter for the tires, so that I can inflate them using a standard bicycle pump. - Added a bag hook to the steering, though I didn't need to use it for this day trip I guess that's it!
