Cameras Cars Cats and Watches
Welcome to my KZread journey! What started as an outlet during a rough time in my life being unemployed and not knowing what to do, I am grateful for my loyal followers that encourage me to continue making more videos.
This channel embodies a lot of my different interests that revolve around being a Photographer, Musician, Artist, watch addict, cat lover, Gamer at times and Mystic. I've always had trouble with identifying with one theme or topic because we are a lot more complex that one single dang label. So join me for a variety of content and watch the algorithm screw me :) Enjoy!

I recognize that girl!!!!
Is 36mm unisex ?
Hi thanks for watching, yes it’s considered a midsize so it wears well for those with larger wrist (more conservative) and for those with smaller wrists can wear like larger watch would wear without being to big. It’s all a matter of taste and getting use to. Many “men” vintage watches are 34mm
Don’t apologize for homage watches. All dive watches take their cues from the 50 Phantoms and the original Submariner (1953 and 1954) respectively. Everything after that was, on some level, a homage watch (in the diver category). Don’t apologize for watches that are less than $500. There are a number watch makers from around the world, that makes good quality watches that are more affordable than the Swiss “luxury” brands.
I’m getting mines next week
Very good point! I had been really considering a RF 15-35 f2.8 for being able to capture super wide video but now I think that I would be unhappy with the end result of distortion. Thanks!
Thanks for watching! Yeah it really comes down to what your tolerance for distortion is.

Are the sample photos edited ?
Thanks for watching, they are JPEGs with minor or no tweaks
@@MACROMARVIN They are very sharp ! For a sensor this size with only 17MP used it’s impressive !
Thanks for this helpful review, with your honest opinion on this camera. It’s helpful for me because there aren’t any “complete” reviews of the D-LUX 8 which isn’t out yet. This video gives a good baseline for the D-LUX 7 and D-LUX 8 cameras !
Thanks I did my best to use it as much as possible to think about how it fit with my needs
Great description. Nice examples. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
How much is this watch?
I was left waiting for the Daft Punk style song to start
What's with the weird bass tones?
I feel like jaba the hut is talking to me
lol thanks for pointing this out, for some reason as I was editing this was coming through I’ll need to upload again
😂
Man, the way you talk and your voice is so nice. it calm things down
Thanks for watching!
SUBSCRIBED!!!
Thanks for watching!
Don't waste your money. I ordered one of Pacals watches and all I get is excuses regarding production and shipping. One minute it's still in production. The next it's being shipped, than back to it's still in production. By the time I receive my order, the planet Mars will have civilization. This the WORST buying experience I've EVER encountered from a brand. I've learned a valuable lesson. Never again.
Thanks for sharing your experience, this is not acceptable. I would help if I could but I have noticed they aren’t quick to respond after they got what they wanted, they need to be more transparent about their availability and shipping times
The triple color combo is excellent ... Silver Blue & Copper. Just shows class
I love this combo and the leather having the matte texture it has adds to it too since the dial and watch give off a very polished shine look
who has tried this lens out?
How has this not gone viral?
So pretty ✨💙💜❤️✨
Hi, I am planning on buying this lens. The only thing that makes me not 100% shure is, that it has that really heavy vignette. And I have never used a manual focus lens before. Did you already film a KZread video with this lens?
Thanks for watching! There is heavy vignette, I don’t think it’s as noticeable in video at least from my tests. There are video samples throughout this video all shot with this lens.
My recommendation is that this lens isnt used for photo, its got vignette and it isnt sharp, but its perfect for video in dreamy type of video-portraits espeically slow motion up close portraits where you dont want that sharpness so the skin looks smoother
Mine arrived a couple of days ago - I went for the model without the separate second dial as I prefer the dial clarity of a central second hand. I had the strap switched for black (as I don’t wear brown at all) and I couldn’t be happier
Awesome! Yeah totally agree on choice to switch the brown strap out
Hello. 1. Can you use a sustain pedal and 2. a volume pedal? I’m used to accompany singers and choirs many times a year. I would like to use my iPad to accompany but not all the time.i have a very good piano app in my iPad, Pianoteq and I use too, a few good pipe organ apps, because I have to ply sometimes in churches. Here are a few pipe organ apps : iCathedral, Menzel Organ, Pilea, Pipe Organ, MarcMoerd3o. They all have very good pipe organ sounds. For pipe organ sounds I would like to be able to use a volume pedal because I want to be able to make soft sounds and loud sounds when necessary. How control the volume of the output of my iPad with a pedal?
Tchaikovsky and photography are cool 😍
Precious angel 😇 💖
Have a D-Lux 8 on order.😄
Awww❤🐱💗
Sweet boy❤
I appreciate your review of this lens and your honest feedback of it. Owning the Sigma 105mm f/1.4 & the Sigma 150-600mm f/5.6-6.3, I can certainly understand your gripe on the placement of the zoom ring and lens hood and its locking mechanism. Only thing I can think of is that Sigma is going with a consistent design language as the aforementioned lenses have this hood type. I agree with you that a design variation of the lens hood would be optimal; perhaps in version II. Nevertheless, it’s hard to argue the price to performance of this to the Sony 70-200 G f2.8 II. The extra $1300 Sony wants is best invested in other glass like the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 version II. Excellent review! New subscriber!
Thanks for watching! You are totally right, I went back to when I used similar lens for canon ef and it had the same build and position of the zoom ring with the difference of lens hood being the screw on type. I’ve had time to use the sigma dg dn on Sony more and. I do enjoy it a lot. I’ll take the savings any day.
Totally agree - it is an excellent watch in every aspect: movement, dial and lume, thickness, brazelet, crystal... at a bargain price!
Oslo Pocket 3 ?
Yeah shot some parts with the Osmo pocket 3
Yeah it feels like I’ve had to defend it! But it’s a good lens in its own right, people just need to accept it’s to not suppose to be a G Master.
hi! new to photography here and i've never seen the dlux 7 in person, but are you able to put a uv filter on the lens?
Thanks for watching, yes it takes 43mm filters
I've just got an A7Cii and this has got me thinking. M Mount glass is excellent but not cheap either. Wondering what would be some fun but affordable options?
Thanks for watching! Depends on your taste and definitely would want to experiment with maybe voigtlander. Otherwise the alternative is adapt other vintage glass to m Mount to get better deals
You didn’t mention an important reason why you bought a Leica instead of opting for the less expensive Lumix version, and that is because you enjoy the look of the camera itself. Just as you didn’t buy an Omega watch just to tell time, since your phone already does that more accurately, you bought a Leica for its esthetics. An Omega is a relatively inexpensive luxury watch, just as the D-Lux 7 or new D-Lux 8 are relatively inexpensive luxury cameras. Cameras are fashion statements after all, so let us get that out in the open. I’m probably buying a D-Lux 8 despite the Fujifilm x100VI clearly being superior to it.
Thanks for watching! I did mention I prefer the Leica look of the camera. The aesthetic does matter in regards to usage or being encouraged to use it. It’s hard to ignore that you pick the Leica over the lumix because of name and look/vibe you get. For some it makes sense for others it doesn’t, it’s preference.
Dlux 8 will be a great camera!
I thought this was a cheap little thing cause my brother bought it for me but didn't realize its 84 dollars... I got a 20 dollar nato strap because I didn't like how much friction the barton had and it took me way longer to put on the watch.
"it will not get you award winning images!" --- my friend I have to highly disagree with that. I have gotten an award for my iPhone picture while my Leica M10 image was shit...it's the subject, the composition and many other things, but not the camera....I've just preordere the new D-Lux 8. It was also the form factor, the new DNG files connected to the new App, the 24-75 range, the fact that I still get the evf and really the perfect fit for my situations. I wish only it was weather sealed and the focus would be faster. Let's see how it will be.
Hey, any idea if the band is replaceable?
Yeah any 20mm strap fits
@@MACROMARVIN Thanks
Hey man where did you get that strap?
Delugs, crazy horse strap. I don’t see the one I ordered but here is the same with side stitch delugs.com/products/green-crazy-horse-leather-side-stitch-watch-strap
used prices are hire than the new one. Are you getting the new one
higher*
Some of my best pictures were on a Panasonic M4/3 using a Leica prime lens. Lots of fun
Can u share where u got through strap for this one and the green strap u showed on the 1926
Thanks for watching! The one in this video is form watchbandits , textured calf in blue. The one from 1926 is Delugs green crazy horse.
One of the coolest/vintage style watches Iv seen
Do u even show the effin watch? Horrible dude
I’m confused, why didn’t Leica make an APC instead?
Not sure why they abandoned apsc, I would be interested in seeing them return to it now that they have partnered with Panasonic
does it feel/look expensive? is it heavy in weight? just curious
Thanks for watching, it’s a dress watch so it’s in line with being lighter weight. The case feels solid and details, I think it has a good enough feel and look. In my opinion whether you like it or not will come down to how you want a watch to wear on wrist. This is on the smaller side, being vintage inspired. Has wrist presence but it’s good to keep in mind. Switching the strap is one of my recommendations to elevate the watch and add to the wearability
I'm confused whether to take black or blue 🥹🥹
They keep bringing out more, will be interesting to see those in person
Do you think the noise the lens makes would be a issue at a wedding like during the ceremony?
Outdoor wedding not a problem, indoor would depend on how close you are to people as it makes a slight robotic buzz sound when it focuses.
@@MACROMARVIN I did photograph one wedding now that I remember it was done with the Nikon N90s and I was indoors and did not have a problem. But that was in the film days when we did not take a lot of photos. Most studios or photographers would shoot about 250 images for a eight hour wedding. A lower end studio was 150 images for a full day of coverage. When I went to work for studios they wanted medium format and everything for the most part was zone focused with direct flash.
I wish these were just a bit smaller, I love vacheron sort of vibe these give
Totally agree! This is 38mm but for the way square/cushion cases wear I think it should’ve been around 30-32mm. Smaller is better for these elegant designs.
Do you have a favorite watch strap/band maker?
Great video and very useful analysis to illustrate why this is still a fantastic 'photographer's camera'. Whilst I love using the Q2 and Sony RX1R, you do not have as much flexibility with the fixed lens (even with the crop options). The LX100 just satisfies the photographer with all of the creative controls in a compact package. The RX100xx's are also great, small travel cameras but the very compact size does not allow for controls and the interaction as part of the image taking process. The LX100ii is a great compromise of size, flexibility and quality of output.
Thanks for watching! That’s right there are always other cameras to use but this little camera can get up through in a compact set up with a decent sized sensor. I do love the Q2 and I think it plays a different part for me because if the prime, mentally I know I’m looking for entire scenes not being able to isolate like with the zoom capability
