thanks buddy
Thank you for this... Very comprehensive and easy to follow... Close to getting the whole intro down 😅🤘
This is amazing! Thankyou for the lesson!
:D
Been just messing around with bass since i was about 11 (almost 27 years). Ive noticed two things....my dexterity has diminished, and I'm thinking my fingers are getting shorter, lol
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Yo really nail it. Really appreciate your lessons! I have a fender guy 100 with a PRS SE 245 Any idea how I can get a closer sound to your set up? Thanks!
basically, just play what sounds nice
Thanks for the lesson
That bridge, or whatever it's called, that you play about the 8:30 mark is just killer. I'm not a huge Tool fan, but that riff is one of my favorites.
You’re an excellent instructor! I’m very new to guitar and started playing cause I want to play tool and this is really helpful! Thank you
You are very good at instructing and I don't play guitar
46 & 2 in around 46 / 2 minutes. Legend.

Awesome.
You got me ready to start this lesson ..one of my fav songs
Dyad - 'something that consists of two elements or parts'... makes perfect sense to me.
Gracias tron!!
So frustrating. Thanks to your tutorial, can play the whole song start to finish with the og recording, but muff up the sixteenth note section every time. Arthritis in my strumming hand is making shredding virtually impossible.
Respectfully, I don't believe the opening riff is played the way you do it.
As a relative beginner, can you just tune your top strings down that much? Or would you need heavy strings, in which case, would that mean there may be too much tension in your guitar neck? 🤯
sound of the guitar is just AMAZING!
11:40 0-3-5 has infected the minds of guitar players He meant to say 0-5-3 but Smoke on the Water had other plans.
excellent tutorial, within 5 minutes i was already able to play the intro riffs after watching. axe of creation is it!!!
Little late to the party here... but thanks, my friend. Also, hope you got a battery in that smoke detector there on your desk... :D
YES!!!
Always love to hear more about Intervals.
Trying to follow up from Madrid (Spain). In love with the band and this song, very nice tutorial, hope I can complete this some day 🤘
Fantastic!
İ hate low tantion strings sounds. 👎👎👎🫣
Good teacher. awesome demo.
Gonna try this on acoustic.
Great guitarlesson, facts & music right from the beginnig, no blabla, many thanks! I am a guitar & Saxophone teacher and i am more in jazz & fusion but i want to play this great tune with my talented drum playing son- greatings from germany 🙏😎
Valid point. In a musical practice setting, and for learners, it might be important to convey useful information. Major third, minor sixth, perfect fifth, "yeah, I know what your talking about..."; those are established naming conventions for hundreds of years now.
Hello! is this tuning : 6 : C 5: G 4: C 3: F 2: A 1: D ?? Or is it 5-1 in standard tuning and string 6: on D???
its drop d DADGBE
@@n1codabosh878 Thanks.
Why you don’t explain more the powerchor ?also your vicios are so old low resolution
Beautiful Kiesel Gitarre How long do you play Guitar
Great channel great lesson
Appreciate the update Greg, but you don't need to explain anything to us. Your content has helped millions and we are all so grateful. Congratulations on hitting 100K, and wishing you all the best with your ventures!
don't take this the wrong way, but I always hear guitarists say you can play this "any tuning you want as long as it's dropped" but tbh, you can play it in a standard tuning by just playing the bass parts (low E string) 2 frets down from your tabbed positions.
Dude that tone is ridiculous! Love the lesson cheers
Fantastic to have someone show what tuning really is....wish I had trained my ear years ago.
I play in drop d but a half step down. Drop c# its my fave tuning
Your Intro is Wrong. The A string is not hit with a open 0. Its an X meaning the A string should be muted, here's a link to the right Intro played correctly. kzread.info/dash/bejne/l32it5eGirCte8Y.html
I learned so many tool songs from this dude
Drop D or Drop C# is amazing. My favourite artist is Travis Meeks by Day of the New. Amazing style.
