DIY Diesel

DIY Diesel

My Channel DIY Diesel is designed around Positivity, Encouragement, and Challenging Yourself. We mainly focus on Duramax Diesels, but I have knowledge on all 3 major brands. I take pride in all the products I use, and install on the trucks I have. I also do product, and tool reviews as well.
In my videos, I talk about important things to do & NOT to do with your Duramax, and what products I have found to be the best. Along with what products may fit your budget, and still give you the quality you seek!
I take pride in Family First! I am a blessed husband & father. I am a US Army Veteran, and am very thankful to have served this great country! I will do my absolute best to keep my content consistent for everyone, and always looking to improve your experience following the channel.

My trans went out and my aftermarket 3rd brake light started leaking while it’s been sitting waiting on trans to come back from shop and had mold all in it I’m fixing to have to remove everything and pressure wash carpet and let air dry for few days. 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 extended cab

Or you could take the plate off and if the studs need to be removed just buy a 2.50 stud puller from harbor freight.

So that pan does not include a gasket? I couldn't tell if the factory pan had one or not. Have you had any leaks or drips since the install?

Wait what the hell to remove a stud shouldn’t you use two nuts sandwiched. Would have been easier and I believe it’s the right way.

hey man, i know this videos 3 years old and you may know this by now. but, when measuring with the digital calipers at 5:00, the 2 protruding sharp fingers coming out from the opposite side you used to measure the inside diameter of the hole can be used to put inside the hole, and expanded until they make contact so you don’t have to eyeball it, and they can make contact to get a precise measurement. nice video!

Please explain to me why so much lubricant is needed 🤷🏼‍♂️. Curious as I'm not sponsored by kroil. BTW, Free all works better, and you don't have to waste so much money .

How many miles does your truck have? I have a 06 LBZ 2500 and I'm trying to figure out how heavy of a 5th wheel or trailer I can pull with 375,000 miles? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Or, you could use two nuts and loosen it with a common crescent wrench. And you wouldn't mess up the threads for no reason.

That’s a total BS on Chevy part that emergency brake cable. I made mine adjustable back at the leaf spring engineers don’t have to do it so they don’t care now it’s a half hour job instead of having a heart attack trying to get those two together 😁
