Stop with the delusions. Anthony Edward’s is not betters than Jason Tatum. He can’t take his team over like Tatum can. He’s a Michael Finley type. He’s great when the team is great. Tatum is good and constant even when the team is struggling. And Kevin Durant still wouldn’t have a championship if he hadn’t went to golden state. He just trashed 2 hood franchises. He’s been bouncing around from team to team trying to win even though they had put people around him. He can score but he can’t make you a winner, you have to be already winning.

Why are they pretending that Ant didn’t score most of his points in garbage time?! Anthony Edwards is nice, but let’s see him score during clutch minutes before we start anointing him at the level of LeBron, KD or even Curry even though Curry hasn’t been playing to his standards on the US team.

Was hoping Australia would take out Serbia tbh…can’t believe they blew a 23 pt lead in a matter of a quarter. But it’s hard to beat a team 3 times in a row in a matter of weeks…especially with Curry and Embiid in the starting lineup. Neither can play a lick of defense, and Curry’s shot has been off. USA is SO much better off when AD/Bam are in the lineup at the post and D White/Ant/Durant/Jrue etc over curry. Bron is running the point so I don’t really get why curry is even out there. He’s contributing nothing but bad defense.

Too much emphasis is placed on the result while the process is often overlooked. KD is great on team USA because he is murder when you cannot set your game plan towards limiting him. He is capitalizing on the attention that other guys are getting. That half second hesitation he is afforded is all he needs to make the opposition pay (an amazing ability, to be clear). Guys like Curry and Lebron are not capitalizing to the degree that Durant is, however their presence is greater in regard to creating those opportunities for others. Curry attracts so much attention off the ball that it opens up the floor for his teammates (whether he is shooting well or not). LeBron with his transition threat, his passing and his constant attack on the basket forces teams to focus on closing down the lane (the inverse of Curry). This opens up outside shooting and weak side cutting opportunities for his teammates. These things happen just because of the presence of those individuals on the floor, thus providing greater impact measurables. … I also believe that Durant benefits way too much on “what if” hypotheticals. If he never gets hurt… type conversations are pointless. You do not get credit for things you have not done. There is no way to know what conversations would be under alternate circumstances, because results could deviate also. You are what you have done, not what people believe you could have done.

He’s doing a hell of a lot more than Curry. At least he plays lock down defense. Even D white has been 10x more effective than Curry. Curry gets cooked on defense constantly, and he can’t hit anything on offense. Doesn’t get assists, doesn’t rebound. Him and Embiid are huge liabilities.

Hell no lol. HE played better but that’s with team USA running through him more. That game was harder than it needed to be in the 1st half. Offense is still clunky with him and very telegraphed (see all the turnovers) and defense with his drop coverage is still food (see the first buckets of the game and how Brazil was scoring) AD or Bam in the lineup is still a much better fit

JB Bickerstaff should be an assistant still at most, he has the worst rotations in the entire league I think. Always throwing off the rhythm of his guys and just getting in everyone's way. Getting in refs faces like he's gonna intimidate them into calling the game differently. Meanwhile Koby Altman is putting on a GM clinic with his roster construction and player development strategies, working so hard he has to drink and drive just to deal with the stress of pulling off some of these moves. This should be a 60 win team with Atkinson and if they don't have 20 wins by January they need to fire him too and just keep trying, like lotto tickets eventually you'll hit a jackpot and get a guy in here who can pull his weight and not waste the special opportunity here waiting for them.
