Yo, Wassup Guys/Girls. Welcome to my channel. I am a kayak BASS fisherman but I don’t mind anything that tugs at the end of my line. I'm located in Concord, North Carolina. I fish our local lakes, rivers, and ponds in the surrounding areas. Please like, subscribe, and share for more content. Sorry, I don't talk much in my videos but it's all about the catch. ENJOY!!!!

Caught a 20.5 in 4.90 lb largemouth and my steez wrestled her in like butter.
Nice!!!! This reel is really nice and it’s lighter too.
@@dvangfishinglove mine! Wish I got the deal you did, I paid over 800 from TW!!
@@SmokyMountainFisherman yeah brother. I usually order my reels from Digitaka.
Thanks for the video. Wheels look great
@@gregsmith9892 thanks.
How much is that reel?
@@mai45774 it’s roughly about $350 to about $400 depending on which website you’re buying from.
Yeah I’m seeing mixed price like $300-650
@@mai45774 yeah, I think I got mine for about $380 after taxes.
Those blowups are awesome. What topwater bait is that?
@@shakeyhead0079 thank you. It’s a OSP Yamato Jr.
@@dvangfishing thank you, that's one heck of a topwater video!
@@shakeyhead0079 thank you buddy
hey what's the maxium weight lure are you using on Daiwa steez a 2?
I’ve punched some mats with a 1oz weight plus lure. So maybe just a little over 1oz.
@@dvangfishing Daiwa said "7-50" grams but I'm not sure if I can throw lure that weight around 40 grams?
@@isar6068 I’m sure you can.
@@dvangfishing Okay thank you
Is there a decent amount of space between the metal sleeve piece and the top cork piece of the reel seat on yours? Just bought this same rod and don’t understand why it has such a gap.
Mine doesn’t have a gap.
@@dvangfishing well based on the pics and your video it doesn’t seem like I’m missing any parts. I unscrewed the top of the reel seat and slid it up the rod and wrapped a bunch of electrical tape around that medal piece to try and fill some of the space inside that top cork part.
@@ErichP-fr9wd if I was you, I’ll get in touch with the business where you bought it from and address the issue with them.
@@dvangfishing thanks for the info.
Hey cool catches. What baits are you using
I was throwing a small swimbait on a jig head. I believe my brother was throwing a 3inch senko on a free rig. When he was catching them on the free rig, that’s when I switched over to the free rig too.
Roast tail baby !
@@xouvang4976 heck yeah bro. Is it yours? Hahaha. 😂 😆. I’ll give it you and your boy.

Nice catch man! What kinda rod is that your using? I like the looks of the bend in it on that fish
@@Bluegrassbaits thank you. It’s a Daiwa Steez Machine Gun Type 1 66M.
Nicely done. Great shot of him coming out of the water. I'm guessing the culvert was full black slime. I have sworn off Tuckertown.....
@@subsailor1445 thanks. the bass likes that slime. Bahah.
Hey man I’m subscribed. I’m new to NC and would like to link up sometime. Been doing quite a bit of yak fishing myself. The only problem is don’t know too many place to hit up. Would like tagalong with you if you don’t mind. 😅
Thanks. Yeah brother, I don’t mind. I usually fish Badin Lake, Tuckertown, and High Rock Lake. I just started fishing Lake Norman a little more this year. I usually don’t fish on weekends. I do most of my fishing whenever I’m off on weekdays.
@@dvangfishing dam haha I do majority of my fishing on weekends. Occasionally I go out during the week but only evenings. That’s good to know at least I found your channel and can get fishing reports haha
@@cmoua785 yeah brother. Maybe one day we’ll get together and fish.
Hey man what is a good punch rod combo? And you selling some of your stuffs? Haha
@@mk7.5nimavie I use my 72H+ Evergreen Orion “The Black Rose” to punch and frog. It’s paired with a Steez A II. I’m not selling anything atm. What are you looking for?
@@dvangfishing i’m looking for a frog rod and a drop shot rod i’ve been a follower of you for a while was wondering if you letting go some of your babies! Haha
@@mk7.5nimavie thank you so much for following me. I have sold some of my setups in the past but as of this moment, I don’t have anything for sale “yet”. Hahaha. I’ll definitely let you know if I do wanna sell some of my stuff in the future.
wat blazon rod is that…looks sick looks like i could throw my TK on it
@@vincentfelix4554 it’s the 611H-SB model. Throws 3/8 to 4oz.
How stable is your kayak I’m thinking about getting the 12ft one
@@noahmorris8156 it’s pretty stable. I can stand and fish but I’ve gotten too comfortable with sitting down and setting the hook. So I really don’t stand too much now. I should have gotten the 12ft one too. I feel like I don’t have much room with my 10. I usually have my battery box (use to power my troller motor) behind my black pack and that’s a tight fit. I say “yes” get the 12ft one!!!!
Every Mung I know buys the reel protectors! What is it with yall Mungs?
@@Carolinaboi313 Do you mean Hmong? If so, for me personally, I do it to protect my investment. I’m dropping $400-$500 on a reel, I wanna protect it.

What's the specs and where did you get this from? Looking for a dedicated chatter rod
It’s a 66MH and you can find them on some Japan shops online. This rod is a very versatile rod. This one is the wire bait special but I can still throw jigs, Texas rig, Swimbaits, and cranks on it too.

Lightning Strike or Moongazer, which one do you prefer? Which one is better?
@@Drei6_Chris I like the Lighting Strike better. I feel like I can do more with the Lighting Strike. Its lure ratings is from 1/8oz to 1.1/4oz.
@@dvangfishing and the action is the same? How is the bending curve?
@@Drei6_Chris I would say it’s probably about the same but with a stronger backbone. Check out my latest video with the kids. I was using the Lighting Strike in that video when I caught that fish.
how did you find such a great big fish like that one
This guy was actually pretty small.
That is cool, but is it an important factor to you? I can be pretty particular on things, but i have never paid attention to the distance between grips. I guess i also dont focus on the rod too much though, im still using ugly sticks and quantum 😅. Im intersted if this would be a selling feature for you or if its just a cool feature on a rod you *already* like?
It plays a big part in casting abilities. Longer handles helps for bomb casting big baits and shorter handles helps for accurate pitching short distances.
That is bearing sound ..
Yeah a DC bearing.
One could say that that hole smells ....fishy. 🗿
LOL
Hoohoo!
😂
Nice he went into the secret hole
LOL
For the price I would expect something nicer
It’s actually really nice. Super smooth and light weight.
I like that it’s left handed.
Me too.
Shimano FTW

Hey man cool videos. I know you have some really nice stuff you should do a video of your setups. I need some help finding a rod for dragging and working 1/16- 1/8 oz baits along the bottom of rocky rivers for smallmouth. like weedless neds and tubes and stuff like that. I would like it to be under 7 ft also. Just a nice lightweight sensitive bottom contact setup for smaller baits. Thanks again very cool videos.
Thank you. The rod that I’m using in this video is a very versatile rod. It’s an Evergreen Orion 67ML+. Its lure rating is from 1/8oz to 1.1/4oz. It has a very soft tip but very strong backbone. I can throw topwater treble baits to bottom contact single hooks.
I’ll have to check it out. How does it do with the bottom contact baits? Any other rods you would recommend for that application I can check out too?
Uhh dow di the fish ended up there in the first place. Is that a place to put the soon to be dead fish?? (Life is short)
I just do it to show how small of a fish I catch from time to time.
@@dvangfishing ahh sry bout that
@@user-lg2pq5hg7z it just shows that I suck at catching big fish. Haha.
