    What is the natural frequency of the steel ball? The first few modes show zero frequency, so what is the correct natural frequency of the steel ball?

    Sorry but your model is wrong. If the model routes in the space (changing the orientation of the edge), the local coordinate system should route as well. In the way you defined the local coordinate system this will no happen!

    I get the following error when trying to set-up the simulation in exact same steps with a similar geometry Universal gas constant is missing for fluid behaviour intprop-1. It must be specified for pneumatic fluids by using the universal gas constant parameter on the *physical constants options. On adding this in the 'Model Attributes' section a similar error is now thrown for absolute zero temperature. On adding that as well, it asks me to set the initial temperature of the working fluid. I can not find an option to do that . Can anybody help me with that.

    Hello sir. For my master's thesis, I am working on the detection of springback in v bending in 2D in abaqus. But when I define true stress- true strain graphs for plasticty in a few lines in the material definition, the results of the springback are less than the experiment. However, if I define only the line where the plastic strain is 0 (the first line (yield point)) as you describe in the video, the spring-back estimation gets much closer to the experimental results. Is it a correct method to define only the line where the plastic strain is 0? Do you have any other suggestions or is it enough to use this single line?

    这个讲解只适用于了解Fluid Cavity怎么用,本身的模型没有实际意义。使用实际参数会面临收敛问题。这个例子算是凑了个好算的参数。

    Nice vide. I had following questions please 1- For material property of steel (the true stress strain curve) you used elastic and plastic properties. I have stainless steel rivet attached to cold formed steel sheets and there i am also using the elastic and plastic properties. However the supplier just gave me Shear strength (4000N ) and tensile strength (5000N) for these rivets so i need to know how can i use this information and convert to stress strain curve with elastic and plastic regions 2- Using a general contact or surface contact which is more suitable ?? (in terms of getting solution converged and simplifying the problem ) 3- The friction coefficient of 0.2 you used please share reference 4- How to decide what Element type is suitable for my work ??

    Dear, I think your are using pressure in Pascal units, Weight in Kg, So the length is in meter not mm, or am I mistaken?

  • @thallwright
    @thallwright2 жыл бұрын

    I dont know either but he defines the section thickness as 2, I would be surprised if that was 2m and not mm, but then he defines pressure as 300,000 or 300kPa. I think he may have made a mistake here.

    @@yanggreen2984 ok thank you. I have one doubt i'm try to model rigid impact on RC structure, but when i go for fine mesh (~ 5mm) my model seems to be behaving non-physical when they came in contact with embedded rebars. Does this formulation doesn't work with embedded elements. I have defined damage evolution for both concrete and rebar only concrete elements delete but for rebar they buckle and fly away. I tried surface to node formulation but same thing happened. What is the go to method for contact with eroding embedded elements, if you could please help.
