Thank you so much for the complete and thorough video performance. Just what I was looking for and I plan to use this technique in the very near future. Anything to add variety to the fishing experience. Thanks, Terr

Your cover photo shows another layer of sparkly stuff wound on top of the palmered caribou. Or am I seeing things?. I think that addition would be perfect for night time around docks etc. Maybe a little much for daytime. Well done.

great demonstration of the knot for the worm- but please show how far below you tie the nymph/bare hook, as this is the key part of the rig

So I'm going to guess add a weighted nymph about 8 inches below the worm?

Hey, great looking fly. I have noticed snook to be very destructive on flies, esp. maribou, how does this fly stand up tot he test of these fish? Thanks for sharing!

I am confused. How do you add the hook near the worm? I like the idea and was thinking of trying this with a snell knot on a hook with a long tag end then using the tag end to tie on the worm material to the shank of the hook. Your thoughts?

Have you ever tried fly line backing instead of the amnesia? It is more supple and less susceptible to kinking like the monofilament line.

Thanks for the great idea. Could you tell me what kind (model and size) of hook you would use if you wanted to to go with a bare hook below the worm?

Looks like an interesting alternative to the break-away indicators. Also knowing your depth is the same every cast unless you change it looks like a real plus. It's hard to imagine that those bobber stops can move smoothly through fly rod guides, but if they were really hanging up you'd be losing fish, so I guess that answers that question. Thanks for sharing this, I'll have to try this rig.

great pattern! most people do not "see" a simple, elegant, and effective pattern. ? what colors are most effective for baby tarpon?
@ugs2salttravel1534 жыл бұрын
Jake Finn white and red are very effective. Also black and purple, black and red, green and yellow, and olive and white. Usually I’ll change the color of the fly after a refusal before I switch up patterns, as the babies aren’t terribly selective about the pattern but can be very selective about the color. Gray, greenish back, white belly. No more than two inches, like little sardines. I get better results using circle hooks. I'll think this pattern matches perfectly
