i was unaware that there was an odor before i sprayed it on my flowers…an elk mowed down all my beautiful flowers this morning and i was heartbroken. my mother recommended ‘deer away’ which must be a similar product to the liquid fence. i hope it deters/repels elk, too. it certainly repelled me-god, it’s absolutely putrid.

On the handle where the bottle screws on use a fine needle and push into the super tiny hole in the center, you may need to do this every couple months. On the bottle use a flat blade standard screwdriver to pry the green hard plastic stopper off and throw away the black rubber valve underneath it and push the stopper back onto the bottle. Now it will work flawlessly and you can also refill the bottle anytime with whatever solution you want.

That “locking mechanism” is a horrible joke! It sets in a 1/4” max to prevent the spindle from moving? Try taking the head off in a year.. ridiculous! No way to keep it in place!! It falls out easily, for any reason… Poorest solution made by man.

What's the key to converting spreader settings to STA-GREEN? No fertilizer that I buy has a STA-GREEN setting listed on it. I wouldn't recommend buying the worthless thing.

2 things should be done differently to save over half the time. 1. Just cut away the pad and net, don't waste time untying and unhooking every spring. 2. Don't bother removing the screws and separating the poles, just pull the full pole up from the base. This is like the original instructions have you do it anyway. Great video, It helped a lot!!

Im in landscaping. This is the worst. I looked it up and trying to remove it so i can put on the bump head. The first few minutes are fine. The rest of the duration it is nothing but short string which takes longer to cut. If you have to trim concrete or edge it turns a 10 minute job into a 30 minute job having to constantly change the strings. If you are ONLY trimming light areas of grass and not frequently in a small yard well ok. For the most part it sucks.

I find it doesn't work on ants unless you spray them directly. I sprayed some in a bowl, let it dry, put ants in the bowl. Still alive a week later

Thanks for the video, even five years later. A couple of thoughts: miracle Gro’s all purpose fertilizer has a very high nitrogen Content. This is good for growing leafy material, but not blooms and fruit. The name all purpose is very misleading. Using this fertilizer on your tomato plants once flowering has begun will limit your harvest fairly significantly. But you will have a beautiful, big green leafy plant. High nitrogen fertilizer good for plants where you consume the leafy bits like lettuce. It’s also good in the early stages of growth when you want the plant to focus on size growth. Also, you generally want to avoid spraying the leaves of your plants in the evening as the plants will sit wet overnight, which significantly increases the chance of disease spread. Instead you should do it first thing in the morning before the sun gets excessively hot. This will allow evaporation before night and avoid disease. In fact, you should generally not spray your tomato plants with water at all, opting for watering at the base instead. The exception is when, like you are in this video, using a foliar spray, which fertilize the plants via their leaves and stems. Sorry for the verbose unsolicited advice .

Excellent demo, especially the early part about how to tke the safety tab off etc. I'm an idiot when it comes to hardware! One thing, however. Start spraying onto the FARTHEST AWAY AREA and work backwards. That way you aren't steppin on the poison or breathing it.
