Very useful video (for more reasons) but, since it takes several skills in soldering + perfect soldering iron + perfect tin + perfect soldering iron temperature, tin suction pump (cleaner work) (so, absolutely not base tools as not base skills) to do all this, instead of replacing the potentiometers, I recommend simply using dry cleaner electrical contact spray (perhaps the same one you used to clean the soldering iron) directly on the potentiometers and you will go on for years without replacing the potentiometers... then you will do it with base tools

@@DIYVidss It is important as any fused device connected to that power board will be fused across the neutral wire rather than the active wire. If a fuse on the neutral side blows, and the building does not have ground fault protection devices, then current could still flow from the line to the ground. [Of course, if the fuse were on the line side, and it blows, current could flow between neutral and ground, but the voltages are much smaller] So, it would seem that a line side fuse offers more protection than a neutral side fuse.

The analog joystick is still the same as the previous version, it is easily damaged, with a more complicated machine board, it is even more difficult to replace it, for some reason Sony doesn't make the analog one easily removable, even though I hope it is replaced with a socket model

Use flux and a copper braid to remove any remaining solder from the contacts. Always use flux when soldering, wetting and surface tension. You can also check the resistance of the potentiometers before installation. And please, clean the soldering iron tip.

Legit solution, horrible execution. If you do that you will definitely destroy one of the vias. The correct method would be either leave the green part on and just change the moving parts, or use solder wick or a solder sucker to remove the solder, in that way the pcb will not be damaged.
