Hi Laura, I am so pleased you took the plunge. Yes there’ll be more. I am moving in August so it’s been chaotic so my worms will be on there travels again. I’ll have more room in the garden too. I am going to start something along side it too …. My worms are doing really well and giving birth left right and centre. I’m also thinking of buying a mini 10l bin too. Love trying out different things. So glad you follow. Very encouraging for me. Oh bokashi is good to do for good the worms can’t eat. I have a playlist too x
@@poppyspets I moved into my first home in February - it's a Victorian terrace so the garden is little more than just concrete flags and a few pot plants at the minute 😬 We have one of those food waste buckets that the council collects but it smells awful and sometimes they don't empty it, so I'm very tempted by bokashi (I watched those videos too!), I just don't really have anything to use it in right now. I've heard that you can put the finished bokashi waste in with your worms, is that true?

I’ve read that people put bokashi into there worm bin but I don’t because it contains the toxic foods. I think use for the toxic foods and just give the worms the safe foods. I’ll be digging up my garden and adding the bokashi before planting … hopefully late August early Sept. I’m so excited. I’m staying with family and most of my pot plants are here - it’s a congested garden lol so it’s been difficult to film much.

hi, my baby is 4 years old, she has been on anallergenic royal canin since jan 2023 vet prescribed. over the last two months she has started vomiting immediately after eating once a week. i brush her daily thoroughly to remove the complication of furballs. any advice from anyone who has been on this journey?
My Tabitha loves this food. I would speak to your vet but the only thing I’d say is - if she goes outdoors, is she eating food elsewhere? That could be why? I worked out that Tabitha was allergic to red meat. She was able to then have fish food as long as no added red byproducts in. I also bought Tabitha Wainwright but hyper allergenic. It’s a Pets at Home brand and very much cheaper. I also have a playlist for offers and freebies. I do what I can to raise cash. Please let me know how she gets on x
Are pot worms bad?
When I first saw them in my bin I panicked but have since learnt that if a few it doesn’t matter. But if too many then as they love the food your worms enjoy, there’s competition. Mine only ever appeared in the drainage tray - they love wet conditions. Also ensure rain isn’t getting into your bin - if in the uk, we’ve had so much. But can also be an indicator of acidic food. I make sure I add lots of crumbled eggshells to my bin to off set it. I learnt that in the early days and made a video as my worms became deformed. I’ve even added to the raised area in the drainage section. Alternatively you can add the lime. I have a £2.50 off coupon - I’ll add it. The cheaper option is your eggshells. Add newspaper - I add across the bedding and food tray. Sometimes I’ll rip into strips and mingle into the food tray or lay over the top. I have one food tray at the moment. I started another recently but as ‘fresh’ it started smelling with our sudden mini heatwave so I threw it away. The other working tray is fine. Over feeding can be another cause. Food that worms can’t eat I use the bokashi method instead of giving waste to our council. I have a playlist for this. My worms are back outside now but I have to cover the top because of the rain but a section is raised to allow air inside. Let me know how you get on.
