  It's actually intentional. Birdo is mostly muted. The S. Mii voices (as far as boosting and dashing) are silenced as well. The later versions have voices for them, except Birdo.

  This is the Riivolution edition on Wii, so I have my own sound effects just like in CTGP. There is the WBFS version on Dolphin which has most of 8DX's sound effects and music implemented.
