    Thank you so much for honoring my request so quickly! The 75mm is my favorite size. I see that the reaction there is similar to here. There seems to be something about this lure that creates a very aggressive response from bass. So much so that even if they don't get hooked in the mouth, they hit them so hard that they still get hooked somewhere. The shape of the lure's tail is so unique and I believe that the sound and frequency strike at something more primal in fish than other lures can. I've also had similar reactions to the Berkley Choppo and the Googan Revolver. There is also a similar one made by "TRUSCEND伝盛" that sells on Amazon that do very well and are half the price as the Whopper Plopper here. I wish you even more success with it in the future. Thank you for all your hard work.

    @@rolandgdean I really wanted to catch a bigger fish, but once I got to test the power of this lure, I'm glad I did! You've really broadened my fishing horizons with the Wapper Propper! Thank you! It's also an interesting discovery that the fish don't react the same way when you change countries! Maybe there really is something that stimulates their instincts, and this is very interesting.

    I was thinking about how you use barbless hooks partly to enhance the challenge of your fishing. You had also mentioned some people using classic older gear for the same purpose. In a way, I do the same thing except that I use mid-range quality gear, like a Zebco 33 reel and rod combo from War-Mart just to show that people don't need high-end fishing tackle to be successful or to have fun fishing.

    Now that was a nice catch! It would seem that changing the retrieval to a slower crawl paid off for you in a big way! Congratulations! That TH Crawler is a nice looking lure and I may also have to get a Pepper Prop...they seem nice as well. I liked the little brave and ambitious blue gill that you caught. I've had that happen to me and it always makes me smile. I took a picture of the last one I got like that because I admire any creature that is that courageous. Also, I wake up wanting to fish every day as well...lol. I think many of us do. :) I want to share something that I found amusing about the translation software that Google uses here in KZread...you may think it's funny as well. I'm not sure it will come through the translation but I'll try. I watch many videos of bass fishing in Nihon. I know that some things don't translate properly and can be amusing if you have a sense of humor about it. lol I often see in the Closed Captioning, Japanese fishermen saying this phrase, "It was a great part time job!", which to us sounds like you have a second job that you enjoy and appreciate...lol...which sometimes fishing is like that...haha! At first I thought that it was a confusion of the word "hobby" or "pastime" and that they were saying, "I love this hobby." or "This is a great pastime." However, I only recently discovered that the word for "part time job" in Japanese is spelled out in English as "albite" and it sounds a lot like like "a bite" like when a fish attacks the lure we say we might exclaim, "OH! I got a bite!" So, it would seem that fishermen there have picked up the English phrase and the translation comes out oddly and I find it wonderfully endearing and it makes me smile a bit each time it happens.

  • @user-wn2ky1bl5f
    @user-wn2ky1bl5fАй бұрын

    This time the fish taught me to be patient! I like to move the lure fast, but I've learned that sometimes it's important to move the lure slowly and not be in a hurry to catch the fish! It's interesting that Japanese anglers often refer to a fish strike as a "bite," but it sounded like a "part-time job! Japanese people speak and write in many different languages mixed with Japanese, so sometimes it's hard to understand the meaning of words, so I have to be careful when translating into English!

    What a beautiful place! I want to go there SO bad but I feel like I'll never be able to. So much of the scenery reminds me of here in West Virginia. We have lots of mountains and rivers here as well. When I just ride my bike around my neighborhood, My Apple Watch tracks elevation changes of close to 90 meters. I wish I could read the subtitles and road signs. I saw the one in English that says, "HERE IT" which makes no sense. It would normally be, "HEAR IT", "HERE IT IS", or "HERE IT GOES" or something like that. It seems like there may have been some confusion between the word "HERE" as in "place", and the word "HEAR" as in "listen". Examples: "Did you HEAR that fish jump?" or "The fish jumped up right HERE beside the boat!" Also, I like your bike AND your vehicle...it has an interesting paint job. I just got a job offer to sell Toyotas in a town close by and I wish we had kei trucks and vans here to offer because I know they would be a huge success in this economy. They are already getting very popular in many places and there are several import companies importing Toyota Pixis trucks and selling them for 4,000,000 yen...USED. なんて美しい場所でしょう!すごく行きたいけど、絶対に行けないような気がする。たくさんの景色がここウェストバージニア州を思い出させます。ここにも山や川がたくさんあります。近所を自転車で回ると、私のApple Watchは90メートル近くの標高の変化を追跡します。 字幕と道路標識が読めたらいいのに。私は英語で「HERE IT」と書いてあるのを見ましたが、それは意味がありません。通常は「HEAR IT」、「HERE IT IS」、または「HERE IT GOES」などです。「場所」の「HERE」という言葉と「聞く」の「HEAR」という言葉の間に混乱があったようです。例:「魚がジャンプするのを聞きましたか?」または「魚はボートのすぐそばで飛び上がった!」 また、私はあなたの自転車とあなたの車が好きです...それは面白い塗装の仕事を持っています。近くの町でトヨタを売る仕事のオファーを受けたばかりで、この経済で大成功を収めることを知っているので、ここにケイトラックとバンがあればいいのにと思います。彼らはすでに多くの場所で非常に人気が高まっており、トヨタピクシストラックを輸入して400万円で販売している輸入会社がいくつかあります...中古。

    I too love the area and the beautiful scenery of the Seto Inland Sea. It is a wonderful place where the mountains and the sea are in harmony. It is difficult to translate because there are many words in Japanese that have the same character but different meanings depending on how they are written. I am worried if my reply is also written correctly! Sorry if there is anything wrong. I love the color yellow, so I have yellow cars and bicycles. It is a source of energy to have your favorite color around you! I know Japanese trucks are popular in the US. Exports are increasing and used car prices are going up in Japan, but I am surprised that they are priced as high as 40,000,000 yen there! That's way overpriced.

    @@user-wn2ky1bl5f Your translations are coming through perfectly. That truck price of 4,000,000 is about the lowest new car price for Toyota here. The Tacoma (Hilux there) starts around 5,000,000 yen here. About double what they are there. I did notice that your bicycle and vehicle are the same color combo and figured you were partial to yellow. My uncle has been a mechanic all his life and restores old American muscle cars...mostly Chevy Camaros and he always has a nice finished look on them. So, I understand the feelings around having your vehicle being just the way you like it.

    @@rolandgdean In Japan, the Hilux is an expensive car, so it is surprising that the price is in line with that! I too know the charm of fixing up an old car nicely. Maybe it is because I have many friends who are into old cars. Of course, I also respect the technicians who fix cars! Their passion is awesome! Your uncle loves cars too.

    Another great video. Thanks. I'm learning so much about fishing there and how it differs from here. Like the lure you used in this video. It's only available here from importers like Ichiban Tackle and it's often out of stock. The closest thing I can buy here is the Heddon Zara Wounded Spook (1200 yen) and it's only available in 115mm. Cotten Cordell offers a smaller double prop lure, the "Crazy Shad", but the props are tiny and make very little noise. I would have thought that the Whopper Plopper would have taught the American lure manufacturers a lesson but, it seems that it hasn't. There is also a big difference in the reels and rods we use. No one here uses round reels unless they're fishing in the ocean or the Gulf of Mexico or the Great Lakes. Also, we don't really have the options of a rod and separate handle. I like how you have that choice there so you can build something that's a better fit personally. Apologies for such a long comment but, I have my own channel so I know that comments help grow a channel and I really hope your can grow yours a lot. もう一つの素晴らしいビデオ。ありがとう。私はそこでの釣りと、それがこことどのように異なるかについて多くのことを学んでいます。あなたがこのビデオで使ったルアのように。Ichiban Tackleのような輸入業者からのみ入手でき、在庫切れになることがよくあります。私がここで買うことができる最も近いものはHeddon Zara Wounded Spook(1200円)で、115mmでしか入手できません。コットン・コーデルは、より小さなダブルプロップルア「クレイジーシャッド」を提供していますが、小道具は小さく、ノイズはほとんどありません。ワッパープロッパーはアメリカのルアメーカーに教訓を教えただろうと思っていましたが、そうではないようです。私たちが使用するリールとロッドにも大きな違いがあります。海やメキシコ湾、五大湖で釣りをしない限り、ここでは誰も丸いリールを使用していません。また、ロッドと独立したハンドルのオプションはありません。私はあなたが個人的により適したものを構築することができるように、あなたがそこにその選択肢を持っている方法が好きです。このような長いコメントをお詫びしますが、私は自分のチャンネルを持っているので、コメントがチャンネルを成長させるのに役立つことを知っていますし、あなたがあなたのチャンネルをたくさん成長させることができることを本当に願っています。

    Thanks again for your feedback. Don't worry about the long sentences I too am learning English by reading these sentences. In Japan, prop lures are very popular and there are many kinds of lures, but that may be the result of research to catch more fish in Japan's small fishing grounds. As for the rod and reel, even here, only a few enthusiasts use the old-fashioned round reel. Especially anglers who fish only with topwater lures tend to prefer this kind of equipment because they admire the good old American bass fishing. I look forward to your feedback, so please write again!

    Commenting again to help with the algorithm! I wish I could get the topwater lures here that you have there. I just saw a Yamato Crawler Skillful on eBay listed for almost 20,000 yen...way too much for me! There are a few Japanese lure companies online here but they are all so expensive that I can't afford them. I try to stay under 2400 yen for lures and many want twice that for a nice loud topwater lure. I think of making my own sometimes since I'm a woodworker...lol.

    Yamato crawlers are very popular in Japan and are sold at more than double the list price at internet auctions, but I was surprised at 20,000 yen! I also try not to buy too many expensive lures so that I don't go bankrupt from buying too much fishing tackle (lol). Making your own lures is a good idea! I'm an auto mechanic, but I'm so clumsy that I gave up on it too early, so I support making your own lures!

    @@user-wn2ky1bl5f Yeh...I think someone may be traveling back and forth between here and there and coming back with a suitcase full of lures to sell on eBay...not a BAD idea. You might be able to sell some on Etsy. My contact for getting Hinoki Cypress is a man in Japan who sells Hinoki boards on Etsy to Customers in the U.S. because it can't be imported here commercially due to dumb federal regulations. Might help fund your passion.

    Another great video! That pink lure you used is very similar to the Jackall Pompadour we can get here in the U.S. I ordered two SPRO Creepers and have been trying them here on the rivers where I live in West Virginia. No luck yet but this is a VERY high pressure area to fish in and I have no boat...just limited to fishing from shore.

    Thank you so much for always watching. I was surprised because I didn't know that jackal pompadours are sold in the US as well! I love pompadours too and last year I was throwing them all year long. It is a very good fishing lure. From a Japanese point of view, I thought that America is the home of bass fishing, so you can catch a lot of fish, but I guess it is not so, and the pressure from fishermen is the same regardless of the country.

    @@user-wn2ky1bl5f As far as pressure goes, there are places (states) here in the U.S. that have to have a "fishing season" to regulate populations due to having so many fishermen in the areas. However, there are some places, like in Texas where I grew up, where you can catch fish on a bare hook...I did it as a kid. And I don't remember a time we went on a fishing trip and came home empty handed. There's a channel here on TY you'd love. His name is Matt and the channel is NDYakAngler. He fishes in an area that is VERY well stocked...he even has videos of catching fish using a LEGO Chewbacca toy.
