Makita PO 5000c is Makita's American version of a dual action polisher switchable to forced rotation gear driven polisher! Renny Doyle has released a new gear driven forced rotation dual action polisher made by Dynabrade called the DB8 Warhog! Brand New design and built from ground up nothing is shared with other gear driven polishers out there. It's been thoroughly tested by the Detail Mafia from Airforce One! Anything that Renny Doyle gets involved is secure to be well thought out with R&D. Please do a full review on it .

I am would like to buy my first DA Polisher and I would like to use it for many purposes. Changing backing plates, small to 6", using one for vehicles and for wood or polishing stone. What is a good polisher? I can spend less than $300. Would like good ergonomics and less vibration and noise. Thanks

I would look into the Griots tools to stay in the price range you after!

Griots said they fixed the quick change head so its easier to attach, is that so? To me its between this and the pxe80.

Definitely need an entry level machine video. I'll be kicking off a mobile detailing business in the next couple months, and I'm not going to do paint correction right off the bat. But I want to get a good entry level machine I can start practicing on my own vehicle with before I offer a service. Harbor Freight for example has a new Hercules line forced rotation dual action polisher I'm wondering if might be a good one to start with.

Just got into polishing and bought a used porter for 20 dollars. Wjat are good backing plate brands and pads?

That little PXE80 with the full APS kit is no joke. First time I used mine was on a non metallic black ‘23 C8 Vette. Those cars are so intricate and faceted, I thought I’d put the PXE to the test. I kept using it and switching plates & extensions. I even used the APS extension for their cones & drum pads on the intricate gloss black rims that were all marred up. The thing did an entire correction on challenging paint with flawless results. The PXE with APS kit was an instant hit for me!

Hey this is great content, I’m subbing and sticking around. I enjoy the no bs, chill hang out and talk format you have here. I started with a Rupes LHR15 mk 3 modded with a Kamikaze Collection Beast aluminum backing plate and just bought a bunch of premium machines after that. I kind of just wanted all the things, and ultimately I think working with several different tools makes you a little more flexible. I naturally see the direction the industry is going because it is so convenient to grab the cordless tools when you don’t want to think about it. It’s ultimately easier just to not have a cord anywhere in your way. They’ve brought the standards up so high with the cordless machines, that they compete hard with the staples in the industry. I also would love to see you do a review video on the HLR15!

Im a novice and I bought a 21mm polisher and now realize I should have bought a 15. Should I sell it or can I put on a 5 inch backing plate?
@oberkcarcareАй бұрын
what machine did you purchase?
@glossuniversity6376Ай бұрын
You can put a 5 inch backing plate on the 21MM however, from personal experience it does become more difficult to control a 21 with a 5 inch backing plate. It does work but the 15MM great. When possible, its helpful to have them both.

I started with a porter to finish my dad’s rotary marks! 😅 then we got a used flex 3401 before I knew how to use it and it broke… Rupes trained me a little on a mark II and it was great. I really liked my maxhshine 21 but it only lasted 2 years and a lot of vibrations. Looking for an upgrade right now this is a great video! Now I know exactly what 6in long throw I want next! Love my oberk products can’t wait for my new 21 mark iii! Was thinking about a forced rotation but I think for the detailing I do won’t be necessary! Next step the rotary video!

Super informational video. The Rupes names are a little confusing since they are all a LHR. The first is LHR ES then LHR Mark 2 and 3. Then the brand new cordless one is HLR so even more confusion. I actually just got one of the new cordless ones, and would love to see you guys review it. About 4-5 years ago when I was first wanting to get into polishing the new Griots had just come out and were super tempting, but a g15 wasn’t much cheaper than the LHR ES so I just jumped straight into Rupes and used the same one until I just sold it to put money towards the cordless.
