Welcome to A. Gato Getaway where my passion for fashion runs wild! I'm Lina, a lover of alt-fashion, J-fashion, and all things "kawaii"! You can also expect to hear about my indie brand A. Gato Designs!
I got my first dress in a Lolita lucky bag, All I knew was the lucky bag included a jsk, blouse, and head accessory to match. I was initially skeptical that it would be a scam because the price was heavily reduced compared to how much Lolita dresses normally cost and they'd probably send me garbage, but my own curiosity got the better of me and I went ahead and bought it anyway. It actually ended up being wonderful for me as I was a beginner who didn't have a lot of money to spend at the time.

Wonderful video! Im fascinated at the construction of this piece, its so much more interesting than i would have expected especially the button down front. I didnt even realize the pattern was printed. As someone with flocked pieces from Meta i found it interesting they were putting out a pattern i would expect to have flocking, but having the pattern printed makes the care a lot easier Hope youre doing well, sounds like a lot of changes !

It's like a screenprint too so you can feel the printing. Lots of interesting choices

omg that jsk is SO much more gorgeous than it looked on meta's instagram. I adore it! The neckline is not an easy one for blouses though... this one looks great, but the ruffle thing would be annoying to deal with. Maybe a plain high neck blouse could work if you add a detachable cravat or ribbon decoration at the neck? The matching blouse they made seems to have a small square neck with ruffles, so maybe something slightly more open like that?

Also the comment by the spambot below cracks me up. Apparently your coording content is really making a big impact hahah

@vivchibilove yea i was cracking at the spam bot too. I was really on the fence when this dropped online. Like the print is pretty but the design didn't floor me until I saw it in person. I think I am gonna add new buttons to the straps so I can wear them crossed on my back since that are long enough but as far as blouse I think im on the same thought train. I have been looking at the haenuli/iris garden beloved blouse since I am short torsoed but I might also try something with minimal sleeve volume while using the mock cape sleeves

@a.gatogetaway10 ай бұрын
I usually use the dhl shipping option. Shipping will vary depending on the total weight, of course, but it's usually $25-$60 for most of my orders. This box was somewhere in the middle. I only mention weight because coats always cost more and I think that my most expensive box was close to a hundred but over all the total of my average order is $150 including shipping cause I am always on the hunt for a good deal

This is so good! My mind is blown by the trick to finish the lace inside the headdress! I've always been trying to french seam those dang fraying little edges together and it would always end up bulky and messy :( I especially love that you show and use pieces from several brands as examples, so we can learn about the construction. I would REALLY love to see more of these livestream tutorials. There are a few projects that I have a hard time finding tutorials for. For example, I'd love to see the construction of a soft half-bonnet. How to add lace to the top of socks, but still keep them stretchy. How to make a gored skirt for lolita. And in general; simple ways to make or upcycle versatile accessories and filler pieces! But I'd be happy with anything you'd like to share. your channel really is a treasure trove of practical and creative tricks for lolita!
